When most people think of Norway, the Western Fjords area is what they picture, with its stunningly beautiful deep waterways carved through rugged mountains by ice age glaciers. Several of the world’s tallest waterfalls are here too, adding to the splendor. An incredible region for cruising, hiking, fishing, biking, rafting, canoeing and summer skiing, the region is also home to fascinating cities like Bergen, Stavanger and Alesund, each chock-full of unique and interesting urban activities.

Comfortable apartment with a remarkable view from inside the apartment as well as from the private balcony. Full kitchen and numerous amenities. Owner is on site and responsive. I found the apartment to be a little slice of heaven. I take issue with an earlier review about the food—I had an excellent meal, including the option of a gluten-free pizza which I found to be delicious. For wine I had a glass of their house white which I enjoyed very much, as well as part of a bottle of Barbera, the rest of which a staff member promptly delivered to my room after dinner, in a manner following local laws. The setting is unrivaled, especially if there is rain on the roof of the dining room, as the sound is magical. While the path is not immediately obvious, the marina is easily accessed via a very short walk from the Flåm railway station, right along the waterfront. The view from the Flåm Apartments is far superior to the other properties in the small town. I find the earlier reviews with minor complaints to be outdated, as my room was fully equipped. I am a fairly discerning traveler who will be recommending this property to my friends who are looking to visit Norway—that is, until I have the opportunity to return myself.

Really Nice location. The drive from Hardanger up the valley to Røldal Is just amazing! Several waterfalls om the way up. And steep roads. The camping has small cottages in differensiert sizes. Ok price.

We booked the two bedroom apartment through booking.com. After dragging our suitcases over footpath and gravel for 15-20 minutes with two kids, we reached the place, all excited about staying in the beautiful white cottages we saw online. The reception was closed. A note was stuck with our name and room number on it. We walked to the alloted room, and found it was was smaller than we expected and had only one bedroom. I called up on the number provided on booking and was asked to wait for someone to come and check things out. A receptionist showed up after 30 minutes. And told us that the room given to us is a studio, because the two bedroom apartment we booked is not available!!!! Wow! She said she is clueless why this happened coz she isn't the one alloting rooms. We asked her to call up her manager. She did, and was told to give us a larger apartment at a different location. We were disappointed and skeptical about this new apartment. She did not even have any pics of this new place to show us. I requested her to get me a cab to this other place. She called up her manager and said "They don't want to walk". That sounded awfully rude to me. The manager showed up with his car in some time. Made some apologies and drove us in his car to the other apartment. Something positive after 2 hours of chaos. This other apartment was much larger for sure, but had only one bedroom and was somewhat run down. What finally lifted my mood was the beautiful view from the windows. Also there were some conveniences nearby like a coop and couple of restaurants. However, I am writing this review to let anyone looking forward to spending time in the white cottages amid hills and fields shown in the pictures know that you might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

This is the most horrific service and frightening staff We have ever encountered. The waitress was rude and arrogangant, we also we felt unwelcomed. After serving us a and cold dish, the staff also laughed when my partner stumbled as walking to the restroom. We were shocked. My partner asked when after paying the most expensive bill, -do you have any recomendations for our last sightseeing hours, The waitress laughed and said , have you seen the statue of king Olav? And she raced her hand and maid a Nazi greeting??

We booked the big apartment (80 squares meters) with Mountain View and 2 bedroom. When we arrived we got an apartment with only one bedroom and only 40 squared meters. Nobody told us before , this situation is totally unacceptable. As all was full there was not possibility to go to any other place.

It worked for what we needed but was a bit tired. The interior was extremely outdated and small. It was clean enough and the location was good. It worked great for us. The kitchen facilities we ample.

The host wasn't around when we arrived, but there was a phone number at the reception hut and things were sorted out quickly. The cabin is lovely with good facilities. Nice surroundings close to the water. There were no nearby restaurants open during this time of year (10th September), so we went to the supermarket to buy some groceries to cook dinner. The kitchen is very complete to cook a decent meal, everything is there incl. salt, pepper and oil. Lovely modern and squeaky clean bathroom. Comfy bed and a large sofa to relax and watch TV. Good value for the money.

Mainly a sleep-over for workers of the nearby industrial area. Reception only few hours/day, Mon-Fri, all the rest contactless as per 'e-mail guide'. Functional, but rather uncomfortable. Free DIY laundry and ironing facilities a great plus. 'Nothing personal, just business'.

Just next-door to the famous Ona Lighthouse you find Ona Havstuer. There are 5 appartments with all-together 22 beds and a restaurant downstairs that is open in the summer season. The ocean surrounds you on all sides and the scenery is breathtaking!
Amazing island-trip with bicycle and ferries. Quite unique athmosphere and friendly hospitality. Highly recommended ? Remember to chech ferry timetables. A link on the homepage to the ferrytables could be preferred.
