A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lyon has 2,000 years of history imprinted on its streets (yes, the cobblestone kind). Explore this history in Vieux Lyon (one of Europe's most extensive Renaissance neighborhoods) and Lyon's two Roman amphitheatres, which still stage rock concerts today. It's no wonder Lyon is a popular area for travelers, with its dynamic university, first-class shopping, antique markets, vibrant theatre and music festivals, and a range of interesting museums, such as the International Puppet Museum and the Museum of Miniatures and Film Sets. (When we say "interesting," we mean it.)

I stayed there as a couple with our youngest daughter on a cold winter night. We specifically booked this hotel because this is one of the few in Lyon with an indoor swimming pool (I called before to double check to see if it was open and heated). After check-in, where we were charged a 400€ credit card deposit, we were informed that the swimming pool was located outside of the premises, like literally across the plaza... So yeah, that's that. Although the room is very nice and spacious (we booked a suite) and the beds comfortable, we found only a single towel per occupant and a desperately cold towel rack with no means to turn it on. So if you shower in the evening, expect a damp towel in the morning. And yes, that a studio suite. In additional minor annoyances, I could not find a power plug nearby the dining table, which forced me to work next to the TV (which was on, because yes, daughter).\ We did not have breakfast, because it was not offered during booking. In my experience, that is a red flag for a possibly poorly stocked buffet (at 12.50€/person, mind you...). Overall and at this price level, I feel the value and the service is not there. So I do not recommend unless you need to be in this area (and even then there are much better, and much cheaper choices).

Do you want to spend your summer holidays in Lyon? Your accommodation in a charming hotel residence at the heart of the Lyon Croix Rousse district offers easy access to all the activities in the city which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Heritage sights, local cuisine, museums and walks. The residence is open all year round.
Have to say this was quite a poor place to stay. Loud at night and someone started to play the piano at 1am downstairs and night watchman at reception didn’t interrupt. Had to get dressed and go downstairs to ask the guy to stop! Wasn’t the only time in just 2 night stay that I was woken up by noise. The room was minimalist to say the least. One tiny bottle of shower gel/shampoo… breakfast was pricey for what we got.

Privilodges Lyon is located in the 8th district in Lyon, opposite the Maison de la Danse Theatre. It offers soundproofed apartments with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. Each apartment at the Privilodges Lyon Mermoz has a private bathroom and a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave and hotplate. Breakfast is served daily in the Privilodges Lyon Mermoz’s breakfast room. The residence also provides laundry facilities and a private, secure car park. The Privilodges Lyon Mermoz is just a short Tramway ride from the Place Bellecour on the Presqu’ile and the Vieux Lyon district. It is a 10-minute drive from La Part Dieu Train Station.
The ventilation was very noice, I couldn’t sleep and for two nights consecutive I had to switch room. The sofa bed was really not comfortable, slightly in diagonal. The pillows are very very big. The bed in the bedroom was not that comfortable either. The room was not 100% clean. I had a very bad experience I’m not recommending this hotel.

NOPE - didn't have a parking space left. We booked the hotel because of the parking spot.. we needed so search for a parking spot and carrying all our lagguage to the hotel - we needed to do a deposit, which ist ok but it seemed a little bit weird the explanation why they wanted to do a deposit - we got a message before we arrived, that we need to bring our trash can outside by ourself. I am sorry we are in a 4 **** hotel why should I bring the trash can outside myself? its not an apartment I booked! The message said, if we don't bring our trash downstairs where the carpark is, it got taken from our deposit.. 1. we didn't went to the parking lot because we didn't got a parking space, so why should we go downstairs? 2. I am not taking the trashcan with me outside in a 4**** hotel. Its not a selfservice apartment. So we decided to not use the trashcans in the hotel, and we took our trash (tissues and u know stuff u use in a hotel room ) outside and put it there in a trashcan - the swimming pool was pretty little, not really a spa feeling there - overall I wouldn't recommend staying there, especially when you want to have that vacay feeling like you normally have in a 4 **** hotel YES - the area was nice

For the first time I come across a combination of such things as location, cleanliness, price and ease of communication with the owner. Any question was resolved by e-mail within 15 minutes. The location is ideal, it is convenient to walk everywhere, if you need a metro, it is a 2-minute walk. I recommend it to everyone, excluding people with diseases of the musculoskeletal system. They need to take a number, not higher than 1 floor.

Very difficult to do the checkin. They couldn't find my name and couldn't search for the reservation number. The rooms are very bright and the curtains do not insulate the light well. The room has little sound insulation, we easily wake up to the outside noise
