The northern most part of Finland, Lapland, is the magical arctic region full of contrasts. In fact, contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland where 24-hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark winter days filled with Northern Lights.
Every season in Finnish Lapland is uniquely different from each other. The inhabitants of the region say that Lapland actually has 8 seasons instead of 4. In the wintertime, Lapland is as close as reality gets to those who dream of a winter wonderland. Spring brings along light that follows the long season of ‘kaamos’ (arctic night in Finnish). During the spring time, the snow covered hills and fells offer exciting experiences for all winter outdoors enthusiasts from skiiers to snowshoe walkers.
Summer in Lapland is a season like no other – there are endless white nights and peaceful arctic nature as far as the eye can see. Summer’s glow is followed by the majestic season of fall when Lapland gets its truly iconic ‘ruska’ colors. This is the best season to go for a hike in one of Lapland’s many national parks. It is meditation and mindfullness all wrapped in one in one of the world’s most unique and breath-taking sceneries. And don’t forget the best and purest air and water this planet has to offer.
After you have recharged in nature, Lapland also offers other interesting places to visit. Meet Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, try one (or two!) of Lapland’s great restaurants, visit a reindeer or a husky farm, venture out to a quirky festival or go look for gold.
Finnish Lapland is all this and more.

We requested a chalet near the river and got one just back from it. It was very quiet when we stayed in February. It was clean and compact, the kids loved sleeping upstairs and the beds were huge. We had breakfast which was busy, but everything was restocked as it went down, and there was a good selection. The kids liked the waffle maker. Perfect for one night, to be near the airport.

Stayed here for two nights with a friend. Accommodation very good and lots of winter sports activities available. Would suit those who are able to take advantage of all that is on offer. We did 2 x Finn horse trips which was lovely in the forest at night. There is a zoo on site as well which was good, although brown bears in hibernation until end of March. Food on site not great, especially if you have special dietary requirements which we did. They take you to a supermarket on the way from the airport but as you don’t know what is already in your accommodation it would have been better later. I enjoyed my stay but would not go here again

Ounasvaaran Lakituvat chalets are located in Rovaniemi, on top of the fell Ounasvaara, near to the Arctic Circle. The chalets are in the middle of a network of hiking trails and cross country ski tracks. Ski slopes are only 200 meters away. Santasport Center with it's modern well being services and spa facility is within a walking distance. Although the chalets are surrounded by the nature where also a pack of reindeer is commonly seen on the yard, the chalets are only about three kilometers away from lively Rovaniemi city center.
I stayed 10 days solo. The location was perfect as I could take the running trail straight from the door. The accommodation is located in Ounasvaara Park, which is an endless forest with well maintained trails. At the same time I was about 3 km away from the city center, and maybe 1km away from a big grocery store. I wish I could afford to stay longer.

No staff greeted up on arrival which is fine, but we then could t find any or get in contact with any and our hearing was broke. There was no bed sheets, also two single beds. The room was not like the pictures an the bathroom very dated. Not very clean. When we found a number to contact them about getting some fire wood they messaged back saying we Couldn’t use the log burner. Good parking and the sauna was nice

I want to say thank you for the great service provided by Golden Circle Suites team during my stay in Rovaniemi. I had the chance to stay in one of the Suites for one week and I was really happy about my whole stay. Before my arrival, the team answered all my questions and prepared everything that I needed. When I arrived and discovered the suite I loved the design and beautiful furniture. I really felt at home. The beds were perfect and very comfy and the room was clean! The kitchen is a real plus, it is very practical and nicely equipped. The sauna is a luxury that we used a lot as well as the balcony. The breakfast was also really nice with a lot of choice. Another great thing is the location of Golden Circle Suites: we only had to walk 5 minutes to reach supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The bus stop for Santa’s Village is also less than 5 minutes away walking distance. From the suites we also went to the forest which is about 20 minutes away walking distance. Just amazing. Thank you so much to Golden Circle Suites for the warm welcome, we will surely come back!

Travellers come to Karigasniemi village in Utsjoki to explore the best Atlantic salmon fishing areas in Europe, the magnificent highlands of Utsjoki and the peaceful wilderness. Hotel Hansabar is the best place to stay. In addition to new hotel rooms, the inn offers cosy apartments with all mod cons. There is also a caravan site next to the inn. The Hansabar Grill, favoured by locals, serves lunches and barbequed meals. The Guossi restaurant serves Lappish delicacies made from local ingredients. The inn also arranges activities from Northern Light excursions to huskysafaris.
Location is great, just next to border to Norway, grocery store and gas station just beside the hotel. Rooms were spotless and well maintained. Comfy beds, small fridge and balcony in room made my day. Restaurant had delicious dishes and reasonable prices. Breakfast was awesome, way better than big hotel chains has to offer! I can highly recommend this to anyone, I don't have anythkng bad to say.

Let us make your Lapland holidays special. High quality apartments in Levi ski resort. Unna & Mannu apartments are located in the city center and you live right at the heart of Levi. All the services and restaurants are within walking distance. And of course also here, skiing tracks and slopes only 150 metres away. Dashing autumn colours, sparkling white snowdrifts all winter to the late spring, and the midnight sun in the summer can be adored from cosy apartments that are fully equipped and decorated with high quality. And not to forget, Levi is the ideal place for hunting northern lights.
We stayed here for 5 days over Christmas on a Tui 4night search for santa trip and I can not fault this accommodation one bit. I have stayed in Levi before at the Sokos which was fine but wanted a home from home & our freedom. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apt. I expected it to be larger as advertised by TUI hower we were in the smaller 2 bedroomed and it was the perfect cosy size. It had everything 2 double bedrooms both with wardrobe space one bedroom led out onto the balcony with table chairs and an Ashtray. Extra duvets in the wardrobes A toilet with cupboard space A bathroom with more cupboard space a washing machine and walk in shower then it's very own Sauna! There was a drying cupboard ideal for drying snow suits and towels An open plan living room, dining & fully fitted kitchen area with electric cooker, oven, dishwasher, microwave, full sized fridge freezer, toast coffee machine kettle every utensil you could think of more cutlery cups glasses and plates than what the rooms held and excellent quality too! The dining table seated 6. The living area was cosy with seating for 4 it was only as we were leaving I realised that we had a sofa bed in the lounge area. We had tv with some English channels dvd player excellent WiFi and surround sound system The hallway even had extra wardrobe space too We were constantly impressed by all the little extras we found such as a sledge in the wardrobe in the hall way a Hoover iron ironing board mop, even down to Baking paper for the oven a cooking apron electric hand held whisk. Our location was ideal centrally loaded every thing was a 5 minute walk from us no matter which way we turned 5 mims from supermarket.... 5 mins from ski slopes. ... 5 mins walk from the Crazy reindeer Hotel where we met our coach for our TUI trips. The kids are pulled along on sledges they're just left outdoors in resort and if its just sat there unattended it's yours to borrow its amazing. Once the ski slopes shut at night people all head to the slopes and sledge down them. Great fun and we got to see the northern lights. There is a pub next door to us which has a pool table and table football the family enjoyed a few games there whilst I tidied up and got ready for the fireworks display on Christmas day. It's not cheap out there Price wise looking at 13 euro for a small wine or a single spirit and mixer in a bar. 3euro for can of beer in a shop between 3&6 euro for a small bottle of coke or Fanta approx 3 euro for packet of crisp. They only sold beet in K supermarket couldn't get a bottle of wine or spirit in future I will pack my own wine. I have been to lapland before and their national food is reindeer therefore I knowingly packed food to take with us like bacon sausage Black pudding for and Xmas ever morning fry up because in the supermarket your Googleing everything because what the meat is isn't in English and I bought burgers this time 9 euro for 4 from fridge section and nobody would eat it as they weren't convinced it wasn't rudolf. We went to a pizza place on the first night on arriving and we ordered 3 standard sized pizzas and 4 soft drinks approx 50 euro. Kids picked names off the menu and it's it's as I ate a slice the meat tasted abit like liver & deep down I knew... I went to ask the ingredients and I was right I was eating rudolf. Safe to say I didn't finish it but I did order chicken wings instead and OMG they were delicious!! Everything about this place is magic. The air is clean the area is clean they are so covod friendly wear your masks and xovod pass and if before you are served at any restaurant or bar. I will be returning again and I will be returning to Levi Suites Unna Mannu ive stayed in many places around the world from 2 star to many 5 star but this place is by far the best. I could actually see myself living in the apartment we stayed in. It was modern clean cosy and central!. It hit -29 outdoors yet indoors was always hot sometimes too hot nit a bad thing we just turned the heating up or down Thankyou for giving us our best christmas ever!

From Australia, we thought this place was amazing. Everything we needed, washing machine, shower, sauna, kitchen, toboganns, and walking distance to all the skiing runs. We didn’t ski at all! This place was winter wonderland, at the expense of Aurora borealis. Maybe with clear skies this place would be perfect. Had to call taxi but very easy with Finnish taxi app. No public transport but such a lovely cottage with all you’d need. Do a shop first. No restaurants in walking distance. Nothing to complain about, happy guests!

The authentic and original Levin Alppitalot / Levi Alpine Chalets provide you with well equipped, comfort oriented, prime position chalets from two person lodgings to spacious 15 person apartments. Great views towards Levi Fell's main slope open from most of the Alpine and Alpine Star Chalets. All apartments feature a private sauna and a kitchen. Most apartments has fireplace too. Levi resort's services couldn't be any closer: the main slope, hiking and skiing trails can be accessed by merely crossing the road. Restaurants, bars, shops and everything else is just a walking distance away.
Nice and clean apartment with balcony and own sauna. Nicely decorated room and quite well equipped kitchen. 2+2 suite is nice for a couple. Online booking was easy via their website and we communicated with staff only by email. Keys are ready at the door when arriving. Good qualilty for the price, we were happily surprised. We would recommend this!

Ylläshilla log cabin is a beautifully finished luxury log cabin in the heart of the Ylläs fell in the Finnish Lapland. The place is called Nilivaara and lies in the village of Akaslompolo. The cabin is ideal for families, but there is also plenty of room for various groups. Furthermore, you are welcome to bring your pet here. This cabin can accommodate a larger party and provides a perfect refuge to enjoy the activities in the area.
The cottage is very nice and comfortable, very well equipped. We were 8 people and there was plenty of everything in the kitchen. It is in a very quiet location but everything is close by for sports activities and shopping. It was a relaxing week with snow scooters, dog sleds and the Northern Lights. I'll definitely come back ? thanks to Nicola and Tanja
