Couldn't believe how nice this was!
Reviewed By BCNMaryI saw all the positive reviews and decided to book this hotel, but I was blown over by how nice it was! Everything was spotless & tasteful and this perfect accommodation was made even better by the warm welcome we received. The apartment had everything we needed and felt extremely personal. Although the apartment is on a busy street, we weren't bothered during the night as there was very little traffic at night and the apartment was overall very quiet. Our stay was perfect, and all the 5 star reviews are well-deserved.

El edificio La Albarca de cuenta con 25 apartamentos de tipo familiar o Gran Lujo, con una o dos habitaciones. Todos ellos disponen de lujosos acabados y materiales de primera calidad en los que pasar una formidable estancia. Todos los apartamentos cuentan con una cocina totalmente amueblada y equipada, lavavajillas, horno, lavadora, etc. Además todos los apartamentos cuentan con aire acondicionado, tv led tanto en salón como en la habitación principal, recepción 24h, conexión wifi y terraza con vistas a la campiña en el caso de los apartamentos de la categoría Gran Lujo en la que podrá disfrutar de un soplo de aire fresco. Será uno de los rincones preferidos de su visita para tomar una copa, disfrutar de una cena informal o simplemente descansar y charlar en un ambiente relajado. De entre los servicios ofertados por los Apartamentos La Albarca destacan el parking privado, la zona de juegos infantil y el entorno de naturaleza que nos rodea. Asimismo a escasos 100 metros el Grupo Los Pasiegos cuenta con restaurante y cafetería en la que poder comer y disfrutar de nuestro magnífico obrador de productos típicos, quesos, helados y nuestras famosas quesadas y sobaos pasiegos. Gracias a su excelente ubicación y fácil acceso se convierte en el enclave ideal para recorrer y visitar la región. En apenas 15 minutos podrán acceder a las más bellas playas de la región, visitar la ciudad de Santander o acudir al Parque de la Naturaleza de Cabárceno.

We (three adults) booked this as an overnight stop as the Plymouth/Santander ferry arrived late and we did not want to travel on to our destination, Zaragoza, in the dark. Every amenity is available, sadly wasted as we were extremely tired after our journey and just wanted to crash. All the comfort of home, contained within a spacious, modern apartment. Parking was easily available The apartment is in an annex to the hotel and you check in and out via the hotel reception. Hoznayo itself didn't seem to have anything going for it, although we did find a supermarket around 400 yards away where we were able to obtain food and a good bottle of wine. Mission sorted! The following day we did see quite a lot of people dining at the hotel, but can't recommend or otherwise as we never actually ate there. Did look though typical Spanish - ensaladas plus sea food probably the order of the day. Santander accommodation is expensive, so in comparison the stopover at Las Barreras was good value and served our purpose very well. Can't fault it, and would recommend.

You will find a supermarket and shops in the town centre, 10 minutes’ walk away. The apartment complex has a tour desk and is next to Rovacias Golf Course. There is easy access to the A8 Motorway and Santander Airport is 50 km away.

Reviewed By Krista DWell located and spacious but the floors were quite dirty and the building is very poorly insulated for noise. You can hear people in the common areas and adjoining units very clearly and no effort has been made to lessen the noise (no floor mats, or padding under kitchen chairs). There was no a/c and no fans provided, which would have been nice considering outside noise prevented us from leaving the windows open. The pool was nice.

Reviewed By HavardwaUnfortunately I was a bit late when booking a hotel in Santander, and this location popped up 50€ cheaper per night than other hotels in the area so I selected it for my 3 nigh trip. I checked in today and room definitely needs renovation but it looked ok. Anyway I noticed that the room had a strange smell and started looking around. What I discovered in the bathroom is the worst I have seen in a hotel ever. Both the toilet and the floor is full of excrements. (brown stains). First I spotted only a few and cleaned those away, but then I spotted a lot more and called the reception. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was about to check in. A girl came and said that she could not move me nor get it cleaned until tomorrow. I said that I would love hotel tomorrow but then she claimed that I would loose the payment for the remaking two days. That’s when I decided that sharing a few pictures of this wonderful hotel was a good idea. I did unfortunately pay for all 3 nights on checkin but I’m excited to see tomorrow. The rooms are also next to the street without any ventilation or ac so windows needs to stay open...

OUR APARTMENTS 6 full equipped apartments of 75 m2 with 1 or 2 bedrooms, each one with its kitchen- dinning room and bathroom.. Each apartment has a small balcony with beautiful views to the Picos de Europa. A nice garden is shared by the 6 apartments. This is an ideal place for mountain lovers and those who enjoy nature. THE VILLAGE Cahecho is a little quite village of 20 inhabitants located in the Picos de Europa, North of Spain. The village is known due to its wonderful mountain views and is surrounded by large forests of beeches and oaks. ACTIVITIES IN THE MOUNTAIN. Our company of mountain guides offers a wide range of activities in the mountain, for example canyoning, climbing, high mountain, trekking, mountain travel skiing etc. Our guides will supply you with detailed information about paths and routes in Cahecho and in the surrounding mountains

Reviewed By embuduFuente de Somave are basics apartaments with a good location to explore the Picos de Europa. Kitchen with the basic things. Cahecho is a very quiet place. You can even go to Bilbao for one day to visite Guggenheim museum.

Reviewed By thatgfwomanWe stayed here in April 2022 for 3 nights. We were 2 adults and 1 child (aged 6). We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a sea view. We found Suances by accident and what a find! A really cute little beach town with a busy little port area that has plenty of places to eat, and a lovely sweeping beach *plus* a cool headland to explore. The location of the apartments is perfect with lovely views to the beach. They have onsite parking but there's space available outside for free. As it was off season, we easily found a space each day. I'm not sure what it would be like in the height of summer though! The check in process was easy and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our apartment was very clean, spacious and well kitted out. Perhaps a little dated, but the view more than made up for that. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Overall, it was a cool wee apartment in a brilliant location. If we happened to be in Suances again, we would definitely stay here again.

Good place but limited
Reviewed By Juan OWe are a family of 4, with 2 kids. Apartments are a bit limited, without some basic appliances, and only 1 room separated from main living room (where kitchen is also located). No air conditioned, which is basic in summer considering the high humidity of the area. Very well located with plenty of restaurants nearby, and shops. Ideal to visit santillana and sorroundings (caves, comillas, even Santander....).Parking available. Will recommend if you are not very strict, but explore other options first. Reception is very helpful and always provides best advice for visits or even to book tours (cuevas el soplao).
