Vans not allowed!!!!

We are very regular visitors to this site however this year we upgraded our touring caravan which my husband was only confident towing with his van. A brand new 5 seater Renault traffic. Only to discover when we arrived that it had to be parked outside after we had pitched up. No explanation!! Then we have to contend with this at our caravan window - the difference in this & my husband van being - my husbands van is twice the price of this but we didn't rock up with 3 kids!!!! Totally unreasonable!!!

Family stay over half term

Reviewed By Mathmagic

We stayed in the cabins during the worst storm of the year. The owner was so lovely on the phone and offered us a change in date due to the bad weather, but we decided to go ahead anyway as didn’t have any other time off in the near future. The cabins are quaint and clean. Lots of light coming in from the multiple windows. They have everything you would need for a short self catering stay. The kitchen is well equipped. They each have a little, fenced off garden, which would be lovely to sit in, in better weather. Picnic tables and bbqs are usually present, but they were removed due to the stormy weather. The view from the cabins is beautiful. A panoramic view of the Sperrins. There are 4 beds in the rear of the cabin, in a separate little room. There is also a back door from this room. My kids loved the stay. Only one thing that could improve … the Wi-Fi signal. This only mattered to us cause the weather was stormy so we were inside the whole time. In better weather I think you’d be outside so much enjoying the surroundings that you wouldn’t really care about the Wi-Fi. We would stay again, and have recommended the place to our friends.

Rushin House Caravan Park

Just a fabulous gem!

Reviewed By billbH6300AM

We have been looking for a site for many years that was near enough to us to be really handy for a quick break, that was welcoming, with some natural beauty, quiet, tranquil and felt like a real getaway! Finally we have found it!! The site is just adorably beautiful, tranquil and just picture postcard scenic. We were welcomed quite brilliantly by Brenda (owner), who was very informative, helpful, kind and just so knowledgable of the local area and beyond. I actually was quite blown away by the welcome. I felt right at home and relaxed right away. We were also told to contact them any time if we needed anything.... We were given the freedom to pick any pitch we liked and that was also something which rarely happens. There is so much to see and do nearby and you are wishin a stone's throw of several counties of Ireland. Facilities are excellent, the shower and toilet block is immaculately clean, clearly the owners take great pride and care in caring for their guests. The site was quiet and stunning, and all the guests were considerate of each other, there wasn't a noise to be heard. Even the dog owners were all very responsible and dogs were kept on leads at all times which was great to see. The kids play area is a great boon to anyone with kids, and well located. Cathal (owner) called with us to say hello and see that everything was to our satisfaction too before we left and he was very friendly. We had a great chat with him. The attention to detail care displayed by both the owners is truly what marks this site as having all the key ingredients that we look for but rarely find. It's not often that somewhere ticks all our boxes in the way this place did. This is a treasure of a find and we feel very lucky to have found it. We will be regular visitors now and may well go for an extended longer stay in future. Thanks Brenda and Cathal for such a lovely place and such a lovely stay.

Brilliant site

A beautiful site with amazing walks. Facilities were faultless. Even though the site was full, it was very quiet and all those staying were great. Removed one rating because of the grass, very long, could do with a trim - would make it perfect.

Wonderful accommodation!

This was our first time staying here, and certainly not the last! We stayed here from 20th August, in the large yurt for 3 nights but unfortunately something came up and we had to leave the second night which was devastating. Adrian was very welcoming and did everything in his power to help us, he even asked the children to feed the goats! Overall it was a spectacular holiday and definitely will be here again!

It has everything you need like logs, gas rigs, kettle, toaster etc. There is a massive outdoor area and a communal hut perfect for couples, families and friends. We will definitely be going back! 10/10

Nice site

Pleasant quiet site located by the river Bann. Some of the toilet facilities are a bit dated but they were clean and well maintained. Pitches are a reasonable size. Although if you have a caravan then some are a bit small for the car too but fine for campervan/ motor homes.

Stayed here as a family of 5 back in Feb. First run out in our caravan. Aire de Service meant amenities closed but only £10 per night with water & electric hook up so all good! Site quiet, secure & decent pitches. Right beside Dundonald Ice Bowl & Restaurants within walking distance. Nice walking trails and fab playground at Stormont Estate not too far away. Easy access into Belfast.
