This tourist camp is tucked up in a small valley, with forested low mountains surrounding on three sides. Very beautiful and tranquil! Great scenery of the valley. The construction is heavy on the wood and natural materials... rustic, but comfortable. The food was surprisingly good and the staff very friendly. I'd love to go back!

The renowned 5-star ecolodge in the heart of the gorgeous Gobi Desert, the Three Camel Lodge offers unrivaled experiences of nomadic Mongolian culture, cuisine, cinematic landscapes, epic wildlife, adventure, and cultural arts. A leader in sustainable travel since 2002, the lodge and its staff are perennially recognized by such publications as Conde Nast Traveller and Forbes Travel Guide. A proud member of the Beyond Green portfolio of sustainable hotels, resorts and lodges—the Three Camel Lodge enchants guests with a luxuriously appointed classic ger (pronounced ‘gaire’). Comprised of 40 individual gers, each is heated by a wood stove and appointed with hand-painted custom furnishings, and every ger features a private bathroom with a gorgeous stone shower. The lodge features an award-winning bar and restaurant, spa, and amenities including horse stables and excursions to see the iconic sites of the Gobi—including the Flaming Cliffs, the Singing Sands, Yol Valley, and ancient petroglyphs dating back to the Bronze Age. We invite families or those seeking more space to book one of our two specialty gers. Our Khubilai Ger is particularly well-suited to families, with two bedrooms linked by a bathroom, while our Genghis Ger features a bedroom and a relaxation space, as well as a private bathroom. The Three Camel Lodge provides a true escape from the everyday, as there are no telephones or access to Wi-Fi. The lodge isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a state of mind.
The property itself is stunning, rooms are very nice and spacious (beautifully decorated too) but the food is lacking. However, the Nadaam demonstration at the lodge was very nice to see (archery, horseback, etc). I was here in 2015.

Excellent ger camp, located on flat expanse (where else.... it's the Gobi!). Clean gers and beds. Very good food. Electricity and charging available, but no internet. Nice views across the desert and wonderful sunset!

Welcome to Mongol Ujin Camp ! Created and managed by local people, we can host you in Hatgal or create a specific horse trek for you ! We will make your holiday unforgettable in Mongolia. Welcome !
We really enjoyed our staying in Mongol Ujin Camp. We stayed for one night in really nice ger (in the early morning, when it was very cold, some ladies came to put the fire in our furnace <3 ) and then spent three days with the nomad family, having a beautiful horse trecking on the last day. Dava helped us to organize everything, starting with buying tickets to Hatgal from Ulanbataar (we had some problems with the website :( ), contacting us with the nomads, jeep driver, organizing horse riding. Even though, the whole Camp was fully booked, she let us stay in our tent for the last night. Thanks a lot for everything, Dava, it was great time!

This is one of the biggest ger camp and is located in a beautiful setting which is good for taking a stroll in the early morning. The ger is spacious and clean and toilet facilities is great. A good place for star gazing at night as well.

In the middle of nowhere, our driver found this lodge. (No roads, just many many tracks) Each ger has all the amenities - showers, hot water, electricity, comfortable beds, tasty meals, buffet breakfasts. Internet service for which there is a charge was erratic. Just fine! We were happy with the serene silence of the Gobi.

Steppe Nomads tourist camp is an exclusive eco tourist camp situated in the amazing Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve - just 2.5 hr drive from Ulaanbaatar. The scenery is simply spectacular with opportunities to enjoy many activities such as horseback riding, nomad family visiting, swimming, fishing, mountain biking and wildlife viewing. TOP GER CAMP 2011 MONGOLIA!
In the middle of nowhere I like that it seems to be cut off from everywhere else unlike most tourist camps. This is a tourist camp though so they do speak English. We stayed in the Gers. The ger doesn’t have a toilet so you have to walk to a building nearby where all the communal toilets are, separate for M/F. The showers are also in that building but separate from the toilet. It just has a curtain and nowhere to keep clothes to change afterwards. Only three toilets and two sinks so it can get busy when the camp is full I had to choose my timings to use the bathroom. There are additional toilets in the restaurant. They provide towels. But I wasn’t able to find an air dryer in the shower room. Didn’t like the food offered but it was ok. The service was good. The best part is that there is WiFi and it’s not free. It’s an eco camp so lights have a limit, I’m not sure when it went off, maybe at midnight. The river is just steps away! There’s a basketball court. And great hiking opportunities around. There are many small visitors around. We had two frogs on our first night, someone else had a bat, and nice are everywhere, you see holes in the ground practical everywhere around the camp and outside, so keep an open mind about it.

By staying in Terelj Lodge, you will not only have a lovely holiday break, but also experience the authentic traditions of Mongolians and learn their historical roots
Ger and restaurant were very good. We visited there in September and ger was so warm because using a floor heater. It was comfortable to stay and the door was nice. You could see through outside view and also enjoying sit outside the door because it has something like a balcony. The breakfast and lunch literally food was delicious. Breakfast has so many choices that I like.

Jalman Meadows is located on the Upper Tuul River, which meanders gently through the vast meadows of wildflowers and through the lush hills that holds larch forests and birch. It is silent and peaceful here, except for the buzzes of grasshoppers and the singing of the birds. The time seems to stand still in this remote place. At Jalman Meadows, Nomadic Journeys operates this wilderness ger camp in a 360 degree landscape. The ger camp is seasonal in the summers, and is fully collapsible. It may be relocated leaving no more impact on the area than a herdsmen family would. It has 14 double occupancy gers and triples may be accommodated in these. There are also 2 family size gers, with one double bed and two singles. The gers have fire stoves, wooden floors and are beautifully decorated in traditional nomadic style with hand-crafted furnishings. Showers are provided in two separate gers. The shower ger has a fire stove, why it is warm and cozy. It is five-star camping at its best. Activities offered at camp are horseback riding, rafting, hiking, bird watching, kayaking, river side ger sauna and mountain biking.
JMS is a great place to go if you don't want to travel to far from UB (3hrs drive). It offers plenty of activities (horse riding / kayaking / massage etc.) and the nature surrounding the camp is beautiful yet not spectacular (compared to Western Mongolia). The staff is really attentive and tries to accommodate all your requests (e.g. heating the stove in your ger). Food is at fixed times (bf at 8, lunch at 1 and dinner 7) with a good variation and mix of local / western. There are about 15 gers so you can imagine if all of them are filled with tourists - it is not that you feel to be off the beaten track.

I had a nice stay at this camp (I stayed at the lodge and not in the ger). My lodge was in a quiet are and so I had a good sleep. The bed was in the upper level of the structure and the living are and the bathroom downstairs. The food provided for breakfast and dinner was very similar to the food received almost everywhere in Mongolia. They don't have several dishes.
