Pet Friendly BUT warning - ours was so smelly I couldn’t handle it. Visibly clean - but carpet floors make it hard. On top of it all Annie came in clean - but went home with flea bites on her back and straight to vet for relief. Never again.

Blue Moon Resort & Motel Hill City offers free WiFi and rooms with air conditioning. All rooms boast a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. The property provides lake views and a children's playground.
Very nice, small place next to the water. The host and hostess makes you feel welcomed. Went there because the surrounding hotels were booked. Had no trouble going there and hooking up our small camper. They have free rentals of paddle boats and canoes. Scenery was beautiful. And they have a sandy beach and toys for kids. I thought that was neat. All in all I enjoyed my time there, even though it was short. When I got back to this area, I would definitely stop here again. Thank You!

This was the worst experience we have ever had! This was my youngest son dream trip and birthday present he turned 14 there and always wanted to go ice fishing. Epic trip to Epic Fail! The guide service is a joke it is just transportation to a hut on the lake NO advice on how to use the vexilar the guide said you'll figure it out so i had to google it . One of the rods that they gave us the handle was broke off. The jigs that they gave us on the rods wasn't the right jigs to catch the fish after talking to some of the other people that actually do this often and caught some fish had to buy some of the right jigs from their store at the lodge. And the lodge food is awful and expensive $150 for 4 people each night and they didn't even refill our drinks I had a ribeye ordered medium it came out rare and cold the next night I ordered prime rib medium and it came out like shoe leather

Derek, Andrea, Dax and Otis welcome you, your family, and friends to relax in our original log cabins built in the 1920's and 1930's. We have 8 cabins, all unique in their own way, and a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Canoes, Kayaks, and Paddleboards are FREE for guests. We also offer a pontoon and fishing boats for rent. Come for the fishing, hiking, and general enjoyment that mother nature provides!
i enjoyed staying in cabin 1. The view was spectacular and i enjoyed 5 sunsets there. The owners and their kids were just the friendliest and very hard working people. i found the area there to be magical. The stars at night, with the Loons calling was perfect.

Located at the end of the Gunflint Trail adjacent to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and surrounded by the Superior National Forest. Leave your cell phones and worries at home and relax at Voyageur.Comfortable cabins with direct access to the BWCA for canoeing, fishing and camping. Hiking trails & the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center nearby. Moose seen regularly, loons heard frequently and solitude found always. We invite you to Voyageur, Where the Trail Ends Your Voyage Begins.
I cannot say enough about how happy I am with their services. Our trip with them was flawless and they helped us plan and take care of details we forgot to. They did everything they said they would. I cannot recommend them enough. After two less than satisfactory trips with an outfitter just down the gunflint we switched to Voyageur and are glad we did.

We stayed in the Fitzgerald cabin. The cabin's aren't huge, but they are so cozy! Check-in and check-out were easy and the owner was friendly The fireplace is lovely and bed was comfortable. We had a deck off the living room and another off the stairs to the cabin.

We were looking for a place to camp late in October and found Buffalo Valley was one of the only campgrounds open. We loved it! It is spacious and quiet, and close to both Cloquet and Duluth. We took day trips up the north shore to agate hunt and then went the other way to Cloquet. We are very happy with Buffalo Valley, and we will be back.

We stayed in Cabin 9 and the cabin was perfect. We had 6 of us, my wife and I and our four kids. The Owners were so kind and very accommodating. We were close to everything we wanted to do and when we wanted to come back to the cabin and relax this was a perfect place to do that.

We have been doing a father/son fishing trip and I have the privilege of having my son in law invite me along for the last 4 years. This is a fishing trip, pre-in-season rates and we go there strictly to fish. 8 of us rent 2 cabins and the service and accommodations have never changed from top notch, 5 stars. This year, the ice left 2 days prior to our arrival and the docks were in already. Conditions were very difficult, but every time we approached the dock Cody was there waiting to tie off our boats. I do not get the review that was crabby because of the lack of counter space and the poor attitude when they asked to extend their stay. People book cabins for the length desired. Don't expect more if you ask and the answer is No. Other people are on their way to stay in your cabin. I did notice that the owners name is NOT the same as the owner we have known for the last 4 years, so possibly that review is not relevant??
