We visited as a group of 12 including a 5 year old kid and stayed for 3 nights at this resort. The way to the resort is terrible with zero network. The resort is located at the outskirts of Mahabaleshwar, hence overall it was a peaceful stay. Roms were spacious and clean. Few incects such as ants n flies enter into the room but considering the greenery surrounded, it is acceptable. Cleanliness can be improved. The staff is helpful. The main worry for the resort is with the Food...1 out 5 marks for the food...for quality/variety/taste. Lakewood resorts has to improve as far as food is concerned, good cook can be kept to improve food ratings. Very less variety of breakfast in the morning....no egg was served for our family members. When any resort offers packages with the meal plan ..they have to maintain quality as well. Spa facility needs to be started. People come to relax at such places. Overall hospitality was good.

The Lotus Resort is a premier Glamping resort !!! Glamping is defined as a luxury form of camping, blending natural experience of outdoor camping with more glamorous amenities. The tents are in shape of lotus buds. The place is near the waterfall, nested inside the jungle and surrounded by the mountains from two sides. The climate is usually cold throughout the year since it is on higher altitude.
We were ghosted by the management ( Ms. Snigdha & Ms. Meenu) My booking was on booking.com which they cancelled saying I was a no show (we were 9 of us) and took double the money from us than what other guest were charged. The high tea menu was Samosa and fries. There was no facility to keep the beer cans chilled, no ice for the drinks and food was served at 11:30 pm in the night. The staff was rude and unprofessional. When I was discussing with the above mentioned management team about the location before i booked I was told how and what Glamping is and they are one of a kind with this experience in India. But in reality it was stress and only stress since the time we got in on 12th March 22 and till we left on 13th afternoon. Breakfast on 13th morning also had Samosa. We did want to talk to Ms Snigdha about the entire experience but she vanished on a pretext of a meeting on a Sunday morning and her phone was switched off till we checked out) We were asking for a refund on the amount and they kept saying that "your booking is on booking.com, so we can't help" (they had already informed them we were a.np show. And when at the checkout they were not able to locate a kettle in one of the tents (which was never given to us) Meenu called and said.. "Get well soon" Really impressed how the owners of this resort are still keeping these people on their payroll even after seeing so many bad reviews accross booking and other platform. I have already lodged a complaint with Booking and they are analysing all "no shows" this property has reported in the past. Most likely they will be banned from there for sure The only fun part was the 12th evening party where all the troubled guests can together enjoyed to the music which we played out own. If you want to torture someone... Send them here .. they surely will receive a GET WELL SOON msg at the end of the trip !!!

I was here for two days to do a recce for Forest Yoga Retreats.I found this an ideal location away from the busy humdrum of city life right into the lap of nature. They have a dedicated place for Yoga practice which was wonderful!Apart from that, there's a lovely little trek right within the premises which takes one down to a natural waterfall for about half of the year and a quiet little grotto for the other half. All in all the place is rustic,a haven for adventurers, wonderful views of the nearby hills and dales, it's own forest to boast, full of trees and fragrant plants. The icing on the cake is that the whole resort is situated on mineral-rich land full of natural crystals, making it ideal for Yoga and Meditative Silence. I don't think I could ask for more and look forward to conducting many retreats here!

"Peponi" is a Swahili word meaning "Paradise" Peponi is situated 658 meters above sea level, overlooking Mulshi lake, in Mulshi taluka, one of 25 biological hotspots of the world, comfortably nestled in the cocoon of Mother Nature's womb and engulfed by miles of pristine wilderness. Located 40 km away from Lonavala and 20 kms from Aamby Valley, Peponi enjoys one of the most spectacular views in the whole region. The diverse and ancient landforms, abundant bird life and outstanding natural and scenic qualities, are unlike anywhere else. Monsoon in Mulshi is magical. It's so...so...well, let's just say... 'Indescribable.' You have to see it to believe it. What's more, that is the reason we thought of opening our adobe to nature doters, much before then we would have liked it to. Peponi is still in the making so please come with an open mind. Presently we can offer you accommodation in tents under a gigantic machan (minus the elevation) four western style washrooms, a fully functional countryside kitchen and an unforgettable homely and rustic experience on the living, breathing edge of nature.
We were here for an overnight midweek getaway. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Amit who is a wonderful host. The food was lip smacking especially the barbecue chicken , wood fired pizzas and the chole puri. We stayed in a pod which was an experience by itself. The location of Peponi is extremely beautiful, serene and the views are breathtaking. I can’t wait to experience this place during monsoons and with more family and friends . The short walk to the lakeside is not to be missed. The place is absolutely safe for travelling couples. We made some great memories and thanks to Amit for making it feel like home away from home.
