Louisiana tourism is centered on New Orleans and the North Shore region in the southeastern corner of the state near the Florida border. West of New Orleans is the Great River Road, with the I-10 running to the Mississippi River port capital city of Baton Rogue. West of New Orleans along the Gulf of Mexico, the I-10 cuts through Lafayette and Lake Charles on its way past Abbeville to Texas. Central Louisiana is Lake Country, and home to cities like Alexandria and Natchitoches. In northern Louisiana, the I-20 runs west from Monroe to Bossier City, Shreveport, and East Texas. Unless Louisiana is very familiar and frequent territory, New Orleans will be the top choice for a Louisiana vacation. Though Mardi Gras, music, and the winning ways of the New Orleans Saints football team get the spotlight, there is much more to explore in New Orleans. Within New Orleans choose among Bourbon Street, Royal Street, the Upper and Lower French Quarters, the Warehouse and Central Business District, the Garden District and Uptown, and Mid-City. With street car lines linking the French Quarter to the Garden District, Convention Center, and everywhere else, it is easy for the whole family to get around. If long walks are your exercise, explore the scenic city on foot. An easy two-hour drive from New Orleans brings you to Baton Rogue, Natchitoches and Lake Country. Explore old Beauregard Town in downtown Baton Rogue, the historic homes of the Baton Rogue Garden District, and tour one or several working plantations. Walk the 33-block Historic Landmark District and tour the historic homes and churches of Natchitoches. Relive Spanish Empire history in Louisiana at Fort St. Jean Baptiste State Historic Site. Heading west from New Orleans is Cajun Country and Lafayette with its mix of French, French Canadian (Acadian), Spanish, and Caribbean cultures. Besides Cajun and Creole cookery, explore the Civil War heritage at the Lafayette Museum. Stop by Abbeville to view the courthouse designed by Hayes Town, St. Mary Magdalen Church, and have a seafood meal. With 75 annual festivals Lake Charles is Louisiana's Festival City, and home to the Creole Nature Trail Scenic Byway. Shreveport and Bossier City in northwest Louisiana are casino and entertainment centers. Shreveport is renowned for hosting the Louisiana State Fair in the fall. Plus floral centers, art galleries, and museums. Monroe in the northeast also has notable gardens.

Susan's Cottages gave me such a wonderful experience, one like no other. The owner and family were such a joy! The cottage was absolutely beautiful. The view from the balcony was breathtaking! The beds are so comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was amazing! The rooms come fully stocked with all of your complimentary items so everything is already there and waiting for you. It is just an all-around wonderful experience. They even come with little kitchenettes. I would recommend staying here to anyone anytime. In my personal option, no one would ever regret this choice for a getaway!

We just booked a one night stop without looking at the pictures or anything. This was just for convenience. Drove to the park, it's right behind a casino, no personnel on site. You have to go to the hotel next door to register. It looked like a wasteland. Weeds all over, ruts in the stones - like something out of the apocalypse!. We will never stay here again!

Located across the river from Natchez in the town of Vidalia. It is a five minute drive to downtown Natchez. Perfect for visiting the local sites. This is a very clean and well organized park . it got crowded on the weekend but otherwise was ok.

We have stayed here numerous times starting with the first week it opened, it is really sad to see how far the resort has gone down hill since Sun Outdoors has taken over. Prices have increased to the almost unaffordable range, the employees used to have great attitudes and seemed to enjoy their jobs, now, not so much. The lazy river bar wasn't open Monday morning, no music on the lazy river. We had 2 visitors that came up and the website lists the price as $10.00 per day per visitor, I called to verify and was told $10.00, at check in we were charged $25.00 per visitor per day, when we pointed out the difference in price they said that corporate changed the prices. The grandchildren loved the water obstacle course and would spend all day on it, website shows the obstacle course, however, it's not there anymore, this leaves the 10-21 age group with no water options other than the lazy river, they're not going to the kid pool and they can't go in the adult pool. The grandchildren went home rather than stay. The addition of the cottages and additional RV spaces have the amenities crowded to the limit. I have never stayed in an Sun Outdoors facility and after watching the decline of Reunion Lake I doubt if I ever will. This is really disappointing as we live 20 minutes away and would use this as a staycation.

Marla and Kevin, own and run the Jude RV Park in New Orleans assisted by "young" Kevin. Their friendliness, kindness, and support make staying at the Jude RV Park a "family affair." The park is clean, well-maintained and its popularity is evidenced by the number of rv'ers who return year-after-year!! Well done folks!

Very pleased with our stay. Yes, there is noise from I 10 but our ac noise covers it! 10 minutes to French Quarter, helpful staff, easy Uber service, 5 minutes to Basin St Visitor Center for more helpful info. Will stay again. New Orleans is a great stop for more than 1 night,

New Orleans RV Resort & Marina is a casual marine resort located 12 minutes from the French Quarter. Bring your RV for a fun staycation or reserve one of our beautiful floating villas. Our amenities include a full bar & restaurant, free WiFi at the clubhouse & pool, conference center, boat launch, pool, convenience store, and more.
Stayed 2 nights. Quiet park except nearby air traffic and railroad. It stopped around 11 pm. Good landscaping makes it very attractive. It is on the River front so nice to see the water and enjoy the morning and evening breeze. They recommend a driver to take the 15 min trek into town. He is friendly and reasonably priced. There is an enclosed dog run, swimming pool, hot tub and restaurant that we didn’t use. The Staff were friendly and helpful. Full hookup with decent water pressure. Didn’t use their internet ( a fee to connect) or cable. Used our own hotspot with good service.

This was a really nice campground. It is close to I 10 but we didn’t hear any road traffic. The sites are beautiful and big. We especially like the ones in the men’s section. Some of the sites even have swings and fire pits and tables. We would definitely stay here again!

It was a beautiful stay. We stayed in a tent at a pavillion. The little beach was so clean and beautiful. I loved all the pine trees and the pine needles were great for starting a campfire. We went on hikes and sat in the sun at the beach. It was such a great vacation from the work life for my boyfriend and I. They had benches ALL OVER the park with campfire spots next to EACH one. I thought that was the cooling little addition. I plan to make this a regular vacation spot since it was so cheap and easy to book. So glad that we went here. It was rejuvenating and tent camping made me grateful for my bed! Much needed for the soul. Can't believe still how clean and spacious it was, even with all the bookings there. We were completely undisturbed the whole time as well. Thank you so much Indian Creek at Woodsworth. I look forward to going back again soon. Much love and respect.
