An oasis of greenery in Cathar country. At the heart of Cathar country, the area is the ideal destination Peiriere with on-site bar, restaurant, lake, mini farm, mobile home, chalet, location full of charm ... around with a lot of discoveries and activities.A dream cocktail for an unforgettable holiday.
We stayed here for a week in Aug 2020. While generally everyone was friendly and helpful during the day there was live music a couple times a week. Not something that we are against, we knew it would go on until 11pm - unfortunately one night it was still in full flow at 12.30 in the morning! Our pitch was probably the closest to the bar and restaurant, with 3 young kids it was impossible to sleep. The bass was ripping through our tent.

As some others have said, the management are less than friendly. We are well used to the checkout procedure at French campsites but departing from Camping Hameau is akin to being released from prison. No complaints about the accommodation other than how small it is. A smile and some pleasantries from madam owner would go a long way.

We stayed at the LVL Les Ayguades camp site for 1 week in August 2019. The facilities are good and you can walk directly on to the large beach. If you are sleeping in a tent then the bar/disco will keep you awake until midnight, and the laughing and shouting of the guests will keep you awake until 3am. The Paella is best avoided.

Whatever the season, our tree houses open all year round thanks to their wood fiber insulation and their electric heating. They are equipped with a bathroom with shower, sink and composting toilets.

I picked this campsite without checking any reviews - how delightful. Very friendly at reception where some basics can be bought and bread / croissants etc ordered for the next day. Excellent facilities. There is a pool on site. Local walks into the village. Suitable for tents, campervans and mobile homes.

Nice functional cottage with all necessities for own basic cooking, nice bed and bed-couch; very good shower and nice food and local and belgian beers. Professional advise for hiking tours was a great + for us! An ideal location for a 1 week trip with hikingtours in the area with fixed location. Also very suitable for longer periods of time and even more sightseeing.

Our month long vacation in Carcassonne was unfortunately towards the end of the "normal" tourist season, but we were still able to take advantage of some great places to visit. In the brochures we obtained from the tourist offices there was advertised a series of wine tours and tastings. We were able to book the last one of the season, which was at La Pujade in Alzonne. Although La Pujade is billed as a Camping, and indeed it was, the owner is also a local wine producer, and a very knowledgeable one at that. We walked several kilometers with him around several of his large vineyards, and heard a lot of superb details on vine growing, micro climates, soils, and their affect on wine. After the vineyard tour, we adjourned to the restaurant area of the camping and tasted a large assortment of his wines. Interesting and very tasty. Included in the "day" was a superb lunch of local products, cheeses, sausages, bread, preserves. that was a wonderful enlightment on some of the culture of the Alzonne area, which is not very far from Carcassonne in direction of the Atlantic. If one of their tours and tastings is available when you are in the area, I would highly recommend paying La Pujade a visit.
