Each site has a 22′ x 60′ concrete pad to accommodate even the largest RVs and beautiful lush landscaping set among our coastal craftsman style buildings. Featuring 2 Bathhouses, a Rec House, Camp Store, and salt water pool with beach entry.
We got a last minute reservation here for the week of Memorial Day holiday, thanks to Ann. Thank you, Ann! This is one of the nicest rv parks we have been to, in our 3 years full timing. They have double wide level cement pads with picnic tables and really nice landscaping between each site to give you more privacy. The resort style pool is awesome and the management is great! Orange Beach and Gulf Shores Beach are within minutes. The park is gated and a bit secluded, so that makes it very nice. We will definitely be back here when in this area.

Other features include propane grill in common area, a dog run and free wash tub for your pets, store, propane, community fire pit and pavillons with lots of swings and rocking chairs. We have a 10,000 sq ft office and club house for your enjoyment.
This park is an absolute gem! My husband and I have been avid RV’ers for over 40 years, have been full timers for a number of those years, and at this point, have stayed in many hundreds of parks, and this is one of the nicest we have ever visited. Everything is so well done and absolutely immaculate. When we first arrived, I can remember thinking that whoever decorated this park had missed their calling as an interior/exterior designer, and then I thought, well that is not right, because this park is a designers dreamland paradise. They nailed their calling perfectly. The staff was also very friendly and efficient, and the neighbors we shared the park with were all welcoming and respectful. If you’re looking for a place to have a drunken foray, let your pets roam freely and your kids terrorize, this park is not your best option. However, if you’re looking for a gorgeous place to have an enjoyable time with leashed pets and civilized children, where speed limits and park rules are expected to be observed, this park is the perfect, and safe, welcoming haven for that adventure. Gorgeous pool, Dog Park, laundry facility, showers, bathrooms, and a warm and friendly staff member to actually lead you to your site and get ya all tucked in and buttoned down. A really great park and enjoyable experience that we are very anxious to repeat soon!!!!

Luxury RV Resort features 97 full hookup sites within walking distance to the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama. We offer cable TV, concrete pads, Wi-Fi, a clubhouse, laundry facilities, an RV supply store, handicap facilities and much more. We are just minutes from many area restaurants, shops, parks and other local attractions.
When i checked in they ask about my pet. The clerk gave me a super sweet treat bag with a few bones, list of pet friendly restaurants, along with area pet stores and veterinarians if an emergency came up. That was awesome! This is a clean camp ground with very nice staff. I didn't encounter a single staff member that was rude and I was there 9 days. They work hard to keep the area tidy and nice. The pool is small, especially with lots of kids in it. But it was relaxing to have a place to cool off after a day at the beach.

Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy skiing, swimming, jet-skiing, and boating on its waters, while fishermen will appreciate catching shellcrackers, bream, and bass. During the winter, duck hunters can experience incredible hunts on the lake.
The host are very good people. The campground was very good minus some shade trees. We were there Memorial Day weekend for 4 days, and they provided some activities for the guests. There is a boat launch but no swimming area. I wouldn't want to swim there anyways. Boat rental, gas & camp store with bait. A kids play area, horseshoe pit, basket ball & volleyball courts. It was fairly quiet except for us sometimes. I will be back & I would recommend this place to anyone.

We are a large RV park with 173 sites, including 17 pull-through sites. We are located 2.5 Miles from the beach. Our sites have concrete pads and 50/30/20 full service. We provide WI-FI and Cable television free of charge. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. We have a shaded playground for the kids and a swimming pool. Our roads are paved. Our lots are large, many with shade. We have two laundry facilities and private bath/showers.
Had a great experience at Island Retreat RV Park. Staff very friendly, campgrounds and bathrooms very clean. We had a relaxing 2 week stay. THE RV park was close to everything, but still not on the main drag of Gulf Shores. Rouse Market was great for groceries and could be reached without getting on Gulf Shores parkway. Publix and Walmart close by also. The trail in front of the campground is great for walking or biking. The trail will take you up to Gulf Shores parkway where you can cross and catch the Gulf State Park trails. Sunset at end of Fort Morgan was beautiful.

Approximately 1.5 miles from the white sands of the gulf beaches, Gulf State Park offers a 496-site improved campground including 11 modern bathhouses, pull-thru sites, back-in sites, water front campsites, and ADA accessible sites. Tents are also welcome in our campground. Great for spending time with family and friends, all camping pads are paved and big enough for large RVs with pullouts. All sites have water, sewer and electricity (20, 30, and 50 amp), a picnic table, and pedestal grill. Campground amenities include a coin laundry facility, Camp Store, upgraded WiFi, a resort-style pool and splash pad, easy trail access, tennis courts and 11 modern, air conditioned bathhouses. New to Gulf State Park are 11 primitive camping sites that include stone campfire rings, grill tops, and picnic tables. These new sites are nestled among the trees and on the creek.
Beautiful campground close to the beach, lakes, bike trails, Nature Center, restaurant, pool, etc. Our site, 63, was so-so. It was level, good spacing from other campers, water view, and had a grill and picnic table. But, no shade trees and no fire pit. I think if we had come in the Summer rather than the Spring, the lack of shade would've been an issue. You can use your park pass to park at the Gulf-front beach pavilion or you can ride/walk to the beach. The bathhouse was large and clean. It was busy at check-in (3pm) but they were efficient in processing us waiting. There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, activities in the area. Good WIFI and several OTA TV channels. We were disappointed that our site had muddy tracks from one end to the other and trash in the grill when we arrived.

This is going to be lengthy but I like to be thorough. I booked in April based on previous good reviews and cost factor (husband is a veteran so the discount was nice). Admittedly I didn't read the full confirmation (didn't open the link and read all the way through) but I hit the hi-lights, cancellation policy and check in/out. The week leading up to the trip I got an email with the same info, this time I saw that no pellet grills were permitted - which is how we cook. Thankfully we had recently bought a Blackstone griddle so while we weren't real happy about this "rule" we still had the ability to make meals and left the pellet grill at home. We arrive and my husband asked out of curiosity what the issue was with pellet grills not being permitted. The lady got a bit defensive about it and said it was a rule made by Orange Beach due to the same reason a charcoal or wood fire isn't permitted, open flames and burning embers could cause a fire. I hate to be obvious here but gas creates an open flame as well and those are permitted. I looked on the Orange Beach website and all I could find was this "No open fires or use of flammable items, including but not limited to charcoal or gas grills, tiki torches and/or fireworks ON the beach", not a word about Pellet Grills that I saw so I am guessing that is a Sun RV Resort rule, not OB. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right spot but I think the pellet grill rule is BS. It's contained, the pellets burn up into fine ash. Again not the end of the world but if you cook that way you will need an alternate cooking method. We booked site 69 - shower house and laundry facility in front of us, pool behind us and community "gas" firepit next to us as fires are not permitted at your site. At check in we were told that the firepit was not working and had been damaged by hail (I am guessing if it was damaged by hail that there was a lot of damaged campers because it was going to have to take a beating by hail to make it unusable.) Again not a big deal, who wants a fire when it's 95 degrees anyway. I was however, disappointed that the pool was adults only. Not that I have issue with that at all, I am on board with adults only facilities available but I booked that spot so the 15 yr olds with us were close by - would have been nice to know that information before booking that particular site. Again not the end of the world and I will take responsibility if I missed that on the website. The real kicker though is that the pools close at 7pm. WHY??? People come to visit the area and after a long hot day some people like to go for a relaxing swim after dinner. Just make sure you do it early cause at 7pm on the dot they lock up the gates to get in. Also as a side note the grills they make available to guests are inside the pool so if you came expecting to use those and wanted to cook your dinner after 7, you would be out of luck. This is ridiculous rule and Sun RV Resorts needs to change that to 9pm. (9 to 9 not 9 to 7). They are expanding to add more sites on the back side - but while they are at it they need to expand the shower house and laundry where we were located. There are ALOT of sites over there. Women's has 2 showers, a toilet, and a handicapped shower and toilet together. The men have 2 showers, 1 urinal and only 1 toilet that is in with the handicapped shower. Listen, full hook up or not, I don't want anyone using the camper toilet for anything but #1 unless its an emergency and I gather from the pilgrimage of men headed to the shower house every morning that resulted in lines or people getting in their vehicles to go up front to the larger shower house that others think this way too. More toilets on that side please especially for the men. Used the laundry facilities while I was there and it was NOT air conditioned. Looked like an AC unit was there but it wasn't on. Thought I would pass out before I was finished and one washer was out of order the whole week we were there. Soap dispensers for purchase were not refilled and no change machine either - that would be helpful. Also while I did not know this until during the trip, apparently the lake front sites are reserved only for Motor Coach owners. Those of us with travel trailers or 5th wheels are not permitted to "back in" to these sites so you won't ever have a lake front view unless you upgrade your equipment. So now to my final thoughts. The website should include this 1 and a quarter page of DONT'S that you are handed when you arrive so you can decide before hand if you want to stay here. This should be public info BEFORE booking, not something you get after the fact or upon arrival. Most of it didn't bother me but for some folks many of the rules would be a deal breaker. No matter how many rules you make people will break them. We saw kids and adults on bikes flying through the middle of the shower house building which is not permitted (and it should not be) as well as idiots driving their gulf carts clear up the sidewalk to the building, blocking the entrance instead of parking on the road and walking 25 feet. The online map should specifically note which are the adults pool and family pool and times they are open. The pools need to be open until 9. Fix or turn on the ac in the laundry room. Note where the public grills are and times available to use them. The pellet grill thing needs to be revisited by someone at Sun RV Resorts on whether they are any worse than a gas grill and adjust the policy. It was a pristine, clean campground, I will give you that but a several non working amenities that appear to have been broken for some time without repair is a problem that needs rectified. And while I would not be opposed to trying this place again if they "lighten up" a little, increase the size of the shower house and make lake front spots available to all campers, my husband on the other hand stated with a very firm NO on day one that he would not make a return trip to this particular campground.

Our cabins are reconstructed from the original 1800's American Pioneer log cabins and restored on 196 acres of secluded farmland on pictorial Lookout Mountain located in North Alabama. Our property has beautiful mountain views and adjoins Little River Canyon National Preserve. We are very close to the beautiful area of Mentone Mountain, Desoto State Park and Fort Payne, home of the award winning band "Alabama". Little River Canyon has many breath-taking sights to see and lots to do in any type of weather.
We were looking for somewhere we could hide away with our 14 & 6 year olds and just chill out. My husband and son enjoyed the easily accessible pond to fish in, and my daughter and I loved wandering in the field "mooing" at the cows & picking honeysuckles. This place was just what we were looking for. My husband & I have a great appreciation & love for antiques and seeing how things were done way back. We were not fully expecting these cabins to be actual primitive cabins that have been relocated & renovated. That alone was a nice surprise. I would suggest a few things. Some lamps in the bedrooms, and maybe some push lights in the pantry area. Some areas are just so dark. Also, I imagine most people only stay for just a few days, where we stayed for a week. 1 1/2 rolls of TP, 1/4 a small bottle of dish soap, and 1 extra trash bag are not enough. Some things just need to be stocked more readily. Overall, we really enjoyed the whole place and this was just what we were looking for!
