Disappointing
Reviewed By JohannesNL023After 3 weeks in Taiwan this was a disappointment...sorry to all the positive reviewers. The owners are friendly and helpful but the facitilities were lower standard than any of our other stays. Terrible shower, hand railing that broke because wood is rotten, dangerous steps. Area is nice, breakfast was good, but we could not enjoy the place.

In return, it offers a better experience- Privacy, ambience, beautiful rooms and clean hot springs in room, indoors and outdoors. I love the wood panels in the room which gave it a log feeling in winter. Dinner is nicely prepared for a good price. Suggestions: - Wifi in rooms not just common areas - Shuttle bus at least once to town and back - Tie up with tour pick ups or suggest itinerary for half/ full day tours to take

Reviewed By Mel_in_Parisok place to stay (clean etc), but staff virtually non existant, room rather small and rather ugly, breakfast very basic (one piece of toast with an egg on top and three little pieces of fruit)- not a good choice compared to other homestays or hotels.

Beautiful location, amazing hosts
Reviewed By Matty_Spurs1989We had a brilliant stay and were so impressed with the modern rooms and more so the stunning location and beautiful panoramic views. The hosts went the extra mile and helped as much as they could despite limited English. The owners took us to the train station and pharmacy for free and we were very greatful. Such incredibly friendly and warm people. The overall experience was superb and we would return again in a heartbeat, it was a real shame we couldn't stay longer.

Friendly and Helpful
Reviewed By Peta MWe really enjoyed our stay at Golden Flower. We are from Australia and do not speak Chinese, but our host used his phone to communicate with us through google translate. From the moment we arrived, this family was welcoming and friendly. They rented us bikes so we could ride along the old Yuli rail (which is just lovely!) and offered to drive us to the Walami walk for a fraction of the price of a taxi. He then returned 5 hours later to pick us up after our walk and drove us back again. The hosts took a particular liking to our daughter and kept giving us free things like fruit, lollies and kids snacks. Despite being unable to communicate through written language, we had a wonderful time in this place and can highly recommend it. The only downside might be that it is slightly out of the town of Yuli and so food is not readily available... we got around this by walking to the 7/11 down the road and buying ready made rice meals in boxes which the staff happily heated up for us. Having said this, it is easy to ride a bike along the rail trail into Yuli... around 3.5km. Had a great time.

Reviewed By Nomade61A quelques minutes à pîed de la gare de Yuli, et à quelques minutes de la piste cyclable et des rizières, grande maison récente et sécurisée. Propriétaire passsionné de danse, hyper accueillant, toujours des petites attentions en fin d'après midi, thé, fruits frais, conseils avec Google Translate, et une solide bonne humeur+ humour. Quelques mouvements de danse et c'est une bonne soirée en perspective. Chambre très propre, petit déjeuner correct. Une autre maison en montagne, mais nous n'avons pas vu. IL prête aussi des bicyclettes. Bref, à Yuli, c'est la bonne adresse
