When you think “adventure travel” you probably think of far-flung places like Belize and Alaska—not Wisconsin. But if you’re an outdoor adventurer, you’ll find plenty of places to explore in Wisconsin. A vacation in Wisconsin can put you close to the Kettle Moraine State Forest, which has excellent biking trails. Or choose Wisconsin’s Apostle Islands—kayakers will love exploring Lake Superior’s many caves and shipwrecks. Packers fans don’t wear those cheese-wedge hats for nothing! Foodies will love tasting as many of Wisconsin’s artisanal cheeses as possible. Either drive from cheesemaker to cheesemaker, or choose a Wisconsin vacation in a town with a good farmers’ market—then the cheesemakers bring their wares to you. And what goes better with artisanal cheese than craft beer? In Milwaukee, visit the Lakefront and Sprecher Breweries for tours and tastings.
Wisconsin Dells is a classic family vacation destination. A vacation in Wisconsin Dells will put you close to all the excitement—you’ll have to tear the kids away from the theme parks, wave pools and water parks in Wisconsin Dells! Lake Geneva boasts clean beaches, golf, and a small-town feel that definitely appeals to city dwellers—it’s a popular getaway for residents of Chicago.

The Ringling House Bed & Breakfast strives to provide you with comfort to ease your mind and body, time away to rekindle your relationships, and experiences to relish during your stay with us!
Enjoyed our short visit in this beautiful home. Room was very clean and filled with artifacts from days gone by. Comfortable bed, updated bathroom and sitting table for the two of us to relax. Even a foot stool by one of the reading chairs. We walked a short walk into town for dinner at a 1940’s diner. When we went down for breakfast music was playing in the drawing room. Felt like we were back in the 1920’s. It was so charming and relaxing. Inn keepers are refurbishing windows and making continual improvements.

Hubby and I stayed here early May. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Loft room. The jacuzzi was perfect size for both of us. We had a perfect and beautiful view of the Wisconsin River from our room (not sure how it would look once the trees in our path are in full bloom though, but there is a perfect spot for viewing the River right outside your door). One reason we chose the Loft Room was because of the open window (or closed if you prefer) that opened up so you could see the bedroom area from the jacuzzi. I could live in the jacuzzi and my hubby loves his movies, so it felt like we were still somewhat together even if we were apart. The room was clean. If you are a woman that needs a lot of space for all your cosmetics and all that for getting ready, there is very limited sink space for that...but minor detail. We were there in the slow season and they could not provide breakfast so we got a $12.00 credit. We had breakfast and cofee at Bella Goose by the Dam and it was great! We will definitely be staying here again.

The Schuster Mansion is the newest B&B in Milwaukee's Historic Concordia Neighborhood. Converted to luxury apartments in the 20s, owners/innkeepers Rick & Laura Sue take great pride in returning this architectural gem to its original splendor. Situated just 5 minutes from downtown, it's the perfect destination for your private weekend getaway. Our spacious Victorian suites will surround you in luxury and our wonderful homemade breakfasts can be enjoyed at your private in-suite breakfast table.
When I arrived the host Laura thought I was someone coming off the street to look at the house despite me having my luggage with. I explained I was staying and she reluctantly let me in. We sat in the front room after I replied I had had a challenging trip to her question how it went. She had pen and paper and i felt like I was in an interview. Instead of showing me to my room she wanted to know what I wanted for breakfast. I went for my bags and she was alarmed and said she needed to show me around. I interjected that I wanted to lay my things down before she continued. She showed me to the room and waited inside while I put my things down--strange. She asked was I ready to listen to more directions, I decided it was too much work to deny this sargeant. The next day I tried to make friendly overtures and she was as taciturn and unfriendly as before. Breakfast was good and her husband Rick was more friendly. However, when seated at the table and other guests came in she was effusively warm and kind to them and asked how breakfast was but not me. So, I finished my meal and went upstairs to get my bag. I saluted Rick and left not to return again. The house is in a poor, run down part of town and I was afraid to walk to catch the bus a block away. It was a 20 min ride to downtown. However, the residents walking around were more friendly than the host. It was incongruous to see the inn and its well-heeled guests in contrast to the surroundings. I was sad.

I have stayed at this property 5 times and I love everything about it. The price is reasonable, they are accommodating. We stayed for new years and they provided roses and complementary champagne which we did not expect to be there. I only recently had an issue with booking through hotels.com under the book now pay later and being charged which caused me to incur late fees and nsf fees.

Welcome to St. Brendan's Inn, Green Bay's Premier Hotel for Irish Hospitality. St. Brendan's Inn, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, offers sophisticated lodging accommodations, authentic Irish food, Irish drink and Irish music - all in an elegant, yet comfortable, setting.
Every time I stay here, I have a wonderful experience. From the time you walk in the staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are clean, and the price is extremely competitive. I love being next to the water. You can sit outside on their deck and enjoy how quiet is even though you are right downtown. I look forward to returning again.

The Lull-Abi Inn is a great family owned & operated motel centrally located in beautiful Egg Harbor, WI. Surrounded by a variation of all Door County attractions. Our 18 rooms, 5 suites, & an outdoor fireplace for evening gatherings will satisfy the needs of any traveler at the end of a busy Door County day! ALL rooms a have refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot (coffee provided also) hair dryer, air conditioning, cable TV, and the fastest WiFi Spectrum would sell me! Irons & ironing boards available upon request. We are conveniently located within walking distance to the shops, restaurants, marina, beach, and new this season... The Hatch Distillery!!
3.5 Stars. The prices are reasonable, especially since they didn't require a 3-night stay like so many places in Door Co. The rooms were clean for the most part but the ice bucket had mildew under the lid. Ew. The gal at the front desk was super friendly! Good location in general. Convenient (and free) parking. The mattress was kinda weird like it was overinflated and caused ya to lay with your head lower than your feet so we had to sleep other-way-round. It is reminiscent of a 60s Travelodge. Not an awesome place, but certainly fine for our purposes as casual tourists so would stay again.

My wife & I enjoyed our stay in the Signature Room at the Usonian Inn. We came to Spring Green to see Taliesin and we were so glad we found this lovely inn. The room could of very well been in Taliesin itself, from the plywood ceiling to the tiled walls and stone & wood floors. The inn was built in the late 1940's by an apprentice of Wright and our host Carolina & her husband are bringing it back to its Usonian simplicity. Carolina was a very attentive host and we were pleased how clean the room was. This is a very quite inn in which we were able to relax in peace and quite after a long day of touring Taliesin.
