Not only did they have a delicious and hearty breakfast but at night we took advantage of their sauna and freezing pool-a Russian tradition. Waiting for us after we dried off was a cup of hot herbal tea. What a delight.

Reviewed By Thomas DWe came 2 nights with my wife and my 2 years child, and we have been very very disappointed: - Poor room with ugly view on the parking (despite hotel staff agreement to put us in a room with a nice view, we never understood what happened..) - Disgusting breakfast in a room so small that we couldn’t sit - Incompetent staff: telling us one day that we will have a nice room, and the day after telling us that it was not possible, we asked them to order for us a taxi to Saint Petersbourg with a baby seat (giving several times the exact address we were going) and 1) the taxi did not have a baby seat (pb for a 4h drive..), 2) the taxi was heading to the wrong address (not even in St Petersbourg) and hopefully I checked after a few hours and directed him with my phone

Reviewed By Seraphine JBeen here only for one night, the staff really friendly and helpful, even no one speak English (google translate very useful!!) but all of them are welcome, helpful, fun and friendly. Not much option for breakfast, but all of them really delicious. No credit card accepted but it's not a big deal for me!

Reviewed By JenInMontrealThis is a delightful little resort outside of town that I recommend if you want something a little more rustic and folksy. It is a 20-minute bus ride from town, and the buses are reasonably frequent. The common areas are done up to resemble dacha interiors - a bit dusty and worn here and there, but lots of cute touches. There is a big wrap-around lawn for the kids to run around, a ping-pong table and a toddler playground. There is also a charming bath house, but it is more geared to groups. The restaurant was very good for dinner. The breakfast buffet was good, with an omlette station, but there was no toaster. The hotel is just across the street from one of the main attractions of V. Novgorod, the open air museum of a model village (though it was mostly under construction when we were there), and just down the road from a beautiful monastery. Our room was comfortable for two adults and a child, but an adult may have found the sofa uncomfortable. The staff at the reception were very nice and helpful.

Reviewed By harlingsGood: Spacious and comfortably decorated room with large walk-in shower. The location is a 20 minute walk from the Kremlin, but close to the shopping mall. Alternatively, Bus 9 will run you to the Kremlin or onto the bus/ train station for 22bits. The breakfast is good, but no fruit or juice is provided. Bad: The receptionist was aggressive and unfriendly when trying to explain questions we asked. You have to wear slippers provided and leave your shoes at reception. You must order your breakfast when you arrive and specify the time, trust me it will be on the table at that time whether you’re there or not! The ambience of this guest house doesn’t relax you but makes you feel as though your intruding on their home.
