Whether for business or pleasure, alone or with family, Hotel Boutique Casa Quetzal he looks great facilities in the historic center of the magical town of Valladolid, Yucatan. Since our opening in 2006 we have distinguished ourselves by providing an atmosphere of total tranquility in a Mexican colonial style building framed with large gardens and terraces. The spaces are decorated using Mexican folk art objects, which provides our hotel a regional touch. The undeniable charm of Casa Quetzal will always do their first choice in this colonial destination.
I stayed here with my boyfriend in March of 2022 and we loved it! I felt like this was the perfect location to explore the city but be in a quiet area at night. We had a large room and really enjoyed using the hammock provided. The shower pressure and temperature were wonderful. The breakfast was fantastic and all of the staff we interacted with were professional and very polite. We also really enjoyed lounging in the area around the pool. We parked our car in the lot provided by the hotel and had no issues. The wifi worked well. I wish I back at this hotel right now.

This is a beautiful little hotel. The courtyard is gorgeous and our balcony was next to a beautiful Mango tree. We were there during a downpour so there was a leak in the light coming from the ceiling but other than that it was perfect. It’s a perfect overnighter to go visit Chichen Itza. We would actually come back just to stay here for a visit again to Valladolid.

Beautiful hotel, perfect for exploring Valladolid! We loved staying here. Lovely courtyard and pool. Lounging in a hammock was a nice way to spend the afternoon after seeing the sites. Breakfast was delicious and room was clean. Perfect location. A short walk to the main plaza as well as the historic street. I would absolutely recommend staying here and I hope we stay here again!

The name of the Hotel doesn't give you high expectations, but the name is the only thing not attractive at this hotel. We stayed in a suite and WOW! incredible spacious, high ceilings, impeccably clean. The decoration of the hotel is beautiful, Mexican hacienda style. Great pool to have a relaxing break from Yucatan's hot weather. It's not close to downtown, but nothing a taxi can resolve.

The staff is amazing and so friendly. Breakfast is generous. We had the room overlooking the street and love being able to watch from above. Just lovely, thank you Verde Morada!

I stayed with my family for two nights at this wonderfull, friendly hotel. The family/staff running the place are the best, and we easily communicated via Google Translate. The pool is great for a cool off, and the hotel the best spot for trips to the most beautifull cenotes and Chichen Itza. The hotel even helhed us arrange a return taxi tour to Chizen Itza, so we could beat the crowd. Coming from horrible and pricy Tulum, this was the real Yucatan, we hopes to find.

The hotel has a mold problem that caused me health problems immediately after I entered the room: severe allergies and difficulty breathing. I quickly went to reception and informed the receptionist of the problem, but she dismissed my complaint and did nothing. The next morning, after spending a night without being able to sleep or breathe, I reported my problem to the hotel once again. They told me there was nothing they could do, so they forced me to leave the hotel early. After first saying that they would refund me for the night, then they tried to refund only 50% of the night, which was unacceptable as I was forced to leave the hotel due to health issues. The manager, Marco, told me that they would not refund my money, and then he proceeded to act in a discriminatory way: he told me that they never had problems with their European guests, but only with the Mexican ones. He told me that this is why they preferred to rent only to foreigners and not to Mexicans, acting as if Mexicans were somehow below people from other countries. This was very offensive for someone who is married to a Mexican citizen and has lived in this beautiful country for four years. Finally, it is completely untrue that this hotel is 5 stars. In reality, it should be one or two stars. The toilet would not flush, the shower handle fell off onto my foot, and the entire hotel was in a general state of disrepair. It's embarrassing that people could come to this amazing country and think that such a low quality hotel could be rated 5 stars. This was probably the worst and lowest quality hotel I've stayed in, in my four years in Mexico. My wife and I had headaches and respiratory for two to three days after we left the hotel. If you value quality and your health, and stand against racism and discrimination, please don't stay at this hotel.

We are a company Yucateca and The Boutique Hotel Margot hacienda is an old house of colonial style, remodeled by its owners, trying to keep these details but with all the comforts of the time, is located in a warm and quiet, to make them feel at home, spacious whose rooms and the natural environment that surrounds it, be pampered and relax on your stay at the Hotel Hacienda Margot.
We travelled to Vallodolid with another couple, having rented a car in Puerto Morelos, where we are staying for 3 months. The first difficulty we had in finding the hotel was that all the streets are calles, no avenidos and it was frustrating to have to figure out odd numbers of the calles run east/west and even run north/south - or the opposite?! Anyway, it is away from the centro or downtown area and we got directions from locals who had limited English along with my limited Spanish. But after the 3rd try and a delightful tour of the area - I have to call in "integrated housing" as there is a variety of lesser structures blending with nice casas. The hotel's sign on the front wall is small and covered with foliage - haha- and there is limited parking in the yard- 2 cars. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms immaculate. The pool area is delightful although it could use a bit more regular maintenance to keep the water cleaner. The beds are concrete frames with firm mattresses, but since we only stayed 1 night, our backs weren't too bad. The price was reasonable and there is a bit of a breakfast near the pool area, but only enough to tide over until finding a restaurant for lunch.

Stayed here for three nights to visit chitchen itza, some cenotes and vallodolid. 10 minute walk from the centre. Rooms were basic but comfortable, breakfast also basic but good enough, garden and swimming pool very nice. Hosts were very friendly and i would go back just for them! Price vs quality - 5 stars.
