Luxury, en-suite accommodation with magnificent views and ample parking. Lovely Restaurant and Bar serving Breakfast, Lunches and Dinners with a superb Carvery on Sundays.
After looking on their website and noticing that the Sunday carvery was running till 6pm and booking for 15.15 you can only imagine how we felt to be greeted with hardly any meat left, we were told there's no beef left and there was barely any turkey or pork left, both of which were extremely dried up, my wife and children were about to embark on a 3 hrs drive and needed food but I had no choice but to ask for my money back as there was only scans of meat left,. We went to the babbling Brook last weekend which was the best carvery we have ever had this however was the polar opposite. We tried it but never again

Room 9 is tucked away at the back away from the road and exceptionally quiet with good curtains and two separate bedrooms each with a single bed so as a twin booking you sleep really, really well. Excellent heating and comfy beds so lovely and cosy. Everything has been tastefully renovated and we had everything we could need including a kitchenette. Excellent location on a road packed with restaurants so lots of places to choose from to eat out. The staff were all very friendly. Highly recommended and a lovely independent hotel.

A very warm welcome to Beaufort Lodge. We are delighted you have found our enchanting family run Bed & Breakfast in Taunton, Somerset. As the home of Richard and Hayley, you are welcomed as our guests. We offer a variety of ensuite bedrooms, all individually designed with space and comfort in mind. Our style is relaxed and welcoming, with attention to the details that make your stay special.
Would not recommend for female travellers! The owner chose to change the payment process on the day of check in via text message. When we did not respond right away (because we were on the road and wanted to verify the validity of the text messages before making the payment) the owner sent multiple text messages threating to report us to the police. He threatened to share our personal details, phone number and car registration as well as our images from his CCTV which my sister and I found very intimidating and entirely unnecessary.

Farmhouse a bit out of the way but we knew that, they asked us what time we would be arriving as they were planning a day out! Didn't think that was appropriate as check in was from 2 onwards so not our problem really,we sent word but they didn't receive so the key was left for us via ringing them, first impressions were it looked shabby cob webs on door handle. Very dark and musty smell ,up a small low ceiling staircase not for anyone with mobility issues, Big family attic type room reasonably comfy, didn't expect the bathroom adjoining the room to be on the landing next to other rooms! Thank god no one else was there ! The door creaked terribly so imagine using the bathroom at night when other guests about and someone catches you going in ! No privacy at all! Bathroom old and shabby needed dusting and more TLC! Breakfast was nice and the owner pleasant, yes its 500 years old and you dont expect modern but it needs some money spent on it and bit more cleaning the toilet lid was dirty Not for us and wouldn't recommend sadly

Charming pub in the heart of Somerset. We're a family run pub that have always had a passion for hospitality throughout our careers, as a family we've always dreamt of bringing a pub to life. The Hatch Inn is that pub, we poured our hearts and souls into a refurbishment back in October 2015 and now with a pub full of rustic charm our dream has become reality. We now strive to serve quality food whilst creating an atmosphere that will have you coming back for more. That's enough about us... what about the pub... The Hatch Inn is an 18th century coaching Inn set in the picturesque Somerset countryside at Hatch Beauchamp just 10 minutes from Taunton. The M5 is just 5 minutes away providing easy links to Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Beyond. Guests can enjoy a cosy and relaxed evening by real log fires in the lounge or enjoy a drink with our locals at the village bar and in the warmer months relax on our spacious patio.
We have stayed at the Hatch Inn twice now and loved each time. The pub is an old coaching inn and full of charm, the old low doors, uneven floors and creaks...just fabulous ! I live in an old cottage and detest it when places like these properties that are full of charm get changed into something modern. The rooms are spacious, incredibly comfortable beds, great coffee machine and bathrooms are roomy. The best thing for us is that this is a dog friendly inn, one of my dogs wasn't very well on our most recent stay and I asked if the chef could make her some plain chicken and rice which was arranged with no issues at all. If you are going to stay here then do make sure you stay on a Thursday....Pizza night made n the pubs own Pizza oven, we didn't need to stay an extra night but did just so we could have friends over to experience the best pizza ever ! The pub has a super food menu and the breakfasts are plentiful, locally sourced produce is another plus for me. The staff are so welcoming and we will return later in the year. Thank you Clare, Tony and your lovely staff.

Stopped off here on the way to East Devon - superbly located off the M5. Very clean and warm, lovely friendly host (Julie) and a super, full English breakfast available along with buffet cereals. Stayed here with 2 children - room size and facilities were ideal. Thank you Julie (and Roxy ?!)

Lowdens House offers comfortable accommodation within walking distance of Taunton town centre. All rooms are en suite and have televisions and tea and coffee making facilities, and there is free parking and wifi. Room only or breakfast included rates are available and, for other meals, Taunton's many restaurants are close by and there is a microwave in the dining room if guests prefer to eat in.
Where to start Yes it’s near the town centre and parking is good How can you expect positive reviews on a place like this when you charge what you do. Stained walls , the toilets not fastened to the floor , the curtains don’t close . Truly dreadful place . I think the three working bulbs in the chandelier speak volumes.

Fantastic atmosphere - local pub feel with local food and beer. Fire was lovely. We had 2 dogs with us and they were very welcome. Food was delicious and lots of gluten free options too. Sunday roast recommended! Location was easily reached from many footpaths so great pit stop for walkers.
