Owned by Arkells Brewery since 1878, The White Hart Inn is proud to introduce a brand new, purpose built accomodation annexe, featuring 24 stylish and contemporary rooms, in addition to its newly built loft-style breakfast room, restaurant and Function facilities.
This is the second time staying here and met our expectations once again. Food, staff and room all excellent. Only small let down was that the WiFi didn't seem to be working but not a big problem for us. Hopefully will be returning again in November

Situated in the heart of Swindon's Old Town, The Goddard Arms in an old converted Coaching inn, with some great period features, history and character. There is a bar and restaurant serving food and drinks all day, as well as limited free parking. The hotel was refurbished in November 2016 giving all rooms a flat-screen TV, en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Free Wi-Fi is also available in all rooms and the bar area. Children are welcome in the bar/restaurant areas until 7pm.
Stayed for 1 night as working in Swindon. Superior Room was a great size, comfortable and clean. Had lunch on day one which was delicious and a good hearty breakfast in the morning. Thanks George and the team for a great stay. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area

Situated on the threshold of the Cotswolds, the Saxon Town of Cricklade provides a tranquil and picturesque setting for rest and relaxation. For visitors seeking an alternative to the bland uniformity of many a modern town centre hotel, The White Hart offers an appealing individuality - open fires, beamed ceilings and stone flagged floors set the scene for a relaxing experience. Dating from the 17th century, the White Hart has proven to be a popular retreat for those appreciating good food, fine wine, real ales and comfortable cottage-style accommodation. On arrival, why not sample some of the real ales or fine wines available in the comfort of our warm and friendly bar and lounge? For a tasty snack or full meal, we provide a wide range of excellent traditional and modern dishes
Stayed for two nights and loved every minute. The hotel is very old but, because of that, it is quite quirky; floors are uneven and the plumbing seem to be quite archaic but that just added to the atmosphere. Excellent welcome on arrival and all staff were both pleasant and helpful throughout. Our room was clean, comfortable and more than adequate for our stay. Good breakfast which was both comprehensive and very filling. We dined there on one night and there was a good choice of reasonably priced meals which were well cooked and very tasty. Excellent selection of local beers We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

Situated just off the M4, this amazing new hotel is within easy access to Swindon and its surrounding areas, including the beautiful Royal Wootton Bassett. The Churchill has just joined the Greene King Inns family where you will enjoy a fantastic stay and a pub next door. Expect a great deal, friendly staff, tasty reasonably priced food and drink, and a really handy location. Free on-site parking and free wifi is available at this hotel and 28 homely bedrooms including Double, Twin, Family and Accessible rooms. Our lodge is the first location in Greene King’s 2700 estate to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points. We also benefit from energy generated by solar panels, which will help provide the building’s energy.
Accommodation, food and staff were excellent. A big thank you to Chloe, Anna and Natalie for serving us with such care. The food was to die for. Will definitely coming back soon. Many thanks, excellent ?

The Sun has been the family local for over 40 years and we’ve seen many landlords but the new landlord has got a breakfast menu (7am-10am) which we’ve thought we try. I had the full English and my son had the Wiltshire Ham breakfast and both were amazing. Not many locals know the pub is doing walk ins for breakfast but once people know and try there will be many more going there as the food is amazing.

If you’re looking for a charming inn in Cricklade, look no further than The Red Lion Inn. Rooms at The Red Lion Hotel provide a flat screen TV, and guests can stay connected with free wifi. You can also enjoy an on-site restaurant while staying at The Red Lion Hotel. While in Cricklade be sure to experience nearby Thai restaurants such as Jicsaw Thai Restaurant. There is no shortage of things to do in the area, and there are several great attractions that are within walking distance of The Red Lion Hotel, including St Sampson Parish Church (0.2 mi) and St Mary's Catholic Church (0.0 mi). The staff at The Red Lion Inn looks forward to serving you during your upcoming visit.
3 of us ate at the Red Lion on Saturday. The pub is great, the food was amazing - really generous portions and completely delicious - and the service was brilliant too. The Element (which I think is brewed onsite) is really good too! Will definitely visit again if we’re ever in the area. Double thumbs up!

Not very impressive on arrival, looks rundown. Friendly staff, good sized room but minute TV. Only very lukewarm water for shower after running for over 5 mins. The room would benefit from some comfortable seating as plenty of space. Very clean and recently refurbished. The dining room is attractive but more seating for visitors not eating would be appreciated as only one sofa for anyone just wanting a quiet drink. The exit from the car park is dangerous, onto a narrow road on a bend where traffic passes at speed. A mirror opposite would help.

A delightful hotel on the southern edge of the beautiful Cotswolds, close to the Cotswold Water Parks and the famous Thames Path. Sat in the heart of historical Cricklade, the first town on the Thames.
Just spent two nights at the Vale Hotel, a perfect place to stay so we could visit the wildlife park and hire a river boat for the day. We had two rooms and they were both excellent, lovely and clean, beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds and fabulous showers. I'm not sure if it was because of the Jubilee bank holiday but there wasn't any breakfast on the Thursday morning (we didn't check to see if there was on the Friday) The Spanish Tapas restaurant was absolutely delicious. Would definitely stay here again :)

Delightful and contempory B and B in the lovely village of Liddington, close to Junction 15 of the M4, the Ridgeway National Trail, Swindon and we are 5 minutes from Great Western Hospital. Our location makes us ideal for business people working in Swindon; ie Nationwide, Intel, Honda, who require accommodation with a high level or service and attention to detail. We are also ideal for walkers, for exploring the Cotswolds, Oxford, Salisbury and Stonehenge, Avebury and Marlborough. Meadowbank House is a large detached house with lots of space for guests. We have three fabulous rooms with either private or shared bath / shower rooms. Two of the rooms have king size Sealy beds with superb white linen to guarantee a comfortable night. Rooms have kettles, fresh milk, a range of teas and fresh ground coffee. We have a guest sitting room with lots of books, a writing desk, flat screen TV and a Bose iPod docking station. The room has double doors to a terrace with seating to relax and watch the sun go down and an open log fire for when it is not so warm. We have free wireless Internet throughout the house. There is private parking, clothes and boot drying. Guests are welcome to use the garden.Jane makes a fabulous breakfast which includes a choice of Wiltshire breakfast, American pancakes and French toast with maple syrup. Jane uses local ingredients and everything is freshly made. Liddington is a lovely village. It has a friendly pub and shop, The Village Inn for evening meals within a few minutes' walk. There are footpaths up on to the Ridgeway where there are breath-taking views of the rolling downs. There is a bus service through the village to Swindon, the hospital and the station. We can usually arrange to collect and transport guests given a bit of notice. We love meeting travellers who come to stay. Jane knows all the local walks and sights and is a mine of local information.
We stayed here before and after our first day walking the Ridgeway, and it was excellent in every way. Jane and Matthew are very thoughtful hosts: picking us up from the Way and taking us back, to save a walk on a busy road; providing cake on arrival, good choice at breakfast (smoked salmon, or Wiltshire bacon and sausage), and well planned packed lunches. We also paid them to take us to the start of the Way, rather than hunt down another B&B in that area which worked well for us. Very comfortable and highly recommended.
