A stay for me in Bremerhaven is definitely not for pleasure. However, this apartment building is part of Im-Jaich Hotel and makes the stay bearable. Nice big clean apartments. In the coming months we will stay there frequently.

Got to Bremen airport late with suitcases, so lazily got a taxi. Taxi driver knew where Hillmannplatz is, but not the "hotel". That's because the hotel is at the end of a pedestrianised street. I walked around for ages trying to find this place and even local residents didn't know where it is. I finally found it using google maps, thank you google maps. The picture of this hotel is misleading because the ground floor space is actually a Turkish kebab outlet . Opposite there is a air rifle/camping type large shop. The entrance to the hotel is a small space on the left side of the kebab shop. Outside reception hours you need a code to a box on the side which will dispense you booking but there is a phone number in case you need it. You will need a working mobile phone with credit.though to call the hotel owner who is actually very nice. The décor inside is like a late 1980's or 1990's b&b. Homely.. Clean. My only real issue is if you are a family travel. Bremen seems to have got more than it's fair share of conflict war dodgers (African men in their twenties). They hang around in groups with absolutely nothing to do (thanks Angela) and nowhere to go. There are also "economic" African youngsters who make a point of hanging around street corners, close to the hotel, apparently trying to sell something (I can't imagine what). They don't seem to interfere with Bremen people who seem to look upon them as stray puppies. The hotel is walking distance to a lovely local park and the Marketplatz. Lots of coffee and food nearby and you can see the train station from the hotel.

This place is superb in every way. We stayed one night on our way from Denmark to UK. The staff is very friendly and they speak English. There is a restaurant and although not having booked a table there was no problem and the food was out of this world! Also the breakfast was good and plentiful. The beds were perfect, the room clean and spacious and plenty of hot water. There is ample free parking and it is situated less than a mile from the A1, so convenient and so good. We can certainly recommend this place and we will be back again.

I stayed here for one night in December during the Christkindlmarkt period, as this was one of the cheapest options available. The hotel is easily reachable with the tram from the city centre in about 15 minutes. It is effectively a whole British-style house with three ramps of stairs, with shared bathrooms at every storey and with some rooms with private en-suites. Overall the building is well kept and clean. The rate includes continental breakfast served on the ground floor, which was pretty generous considering the overall price. The owner is polite and well-mannered and you may find helpful brochures at the entrance, as well. It is a good bargain in relation to the dearer options available in the city, as long as you are not too fuss about details and you are willing to share the toilet.

A great hotel with amazing staff and phenomenal facilities; the sauna and the gym are just wonderful and totally unexpected. The location is amazing and the breakfast is absolutely out of this world. I had a single room with an amazing shower and brilliant bathroom facilities; the staff were incredibly helpful and no request was too much. Being approximately 100 m from the train station is absolutely brilliant. There is also an amazing sushi restaurant just next door!

Just came back from a business trip and stayed at the hotel for 2 days. The service (reception as well as during the breakfast) was very friendly and customer oriented. The rooms are stylish and clean. Everything is very modern and comfortable. The breakfast is very good. It is not a huge buffet which is for sure not always needed but everything you need to have a good breakfast is available. Also the hotel is well located and only a 5 Minuten walk from the main train station. A lot of fast food restaurants are also around and the old city is about 15 minute walk. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

The small restaurant hotel is well kept by the family that runs it. Super clean and quite affordable. Very friendly staff. Great location if you're visiting Vegesack. Downside - rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy in late hours of the night due to drunk people being loud at the nearby bar. If you're a light sleeper request a room that doesn't face out on the street.

We only stayed one night - but this comes highly recommend. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location is perfect. Short walk from Central Station. Or just jump on the team which takes you directly in to the old town and shopping area of Bremen. They only accept payment in cash.
