Best ocean view in Freetown, great staff, fresh food, value for money. Two clean swimming pools. The place is clean and comfy. I recommend to anyone travelling to or through Freetown, and would certainly stay again.

My main concern was the payment arrangements. Because we had booked through Booking.com, we had a 15% surcharge added to our bill, which was a large amount as I was paying for 4 colleagues. So next time we will book directly with the Paloma and not through Booking.com. I know that such surcharges are added at other hotels and guest houses in Sierra Leone. The other problem was the very unreliable credit card payment facility. My credit cards would not work in the hotel machines, so we had great difficulty trying to find the cash to pay our bill. This was both frustrating and rather stressful.

Located in the expansive countryside, just outside of Sierra Leone’s vibrant Freetown, is family-owned and run, Stafford Lodge. Our 15-room lodge caters to the traveler looking for an intimate experience with all amenities required for a seamless stay.
My stay was Freakin Amazing! The husband and wife team of Desmond & Dori have managed to create a Safe, Clean and Harmonious Space within the hustle and bustle of Sierra Leone ?? Traveling from the US it was nice to find a hotel that is actually owned by indigenous/native Sierra Leoneans. I even met one of their celebrity guest while there; Mr. John Bankole Kamari #6 of Sierra Leone National Football Team; he was working out in the Stafford Lodge’s Gym! This place is one of “Salone’s Hidden Gems” and It is my go to place whenever I travel ? to my new home of Sierra Leone!

Ideally located just 15 minutes from the Aberdeen port and 10 minutes from Lumley Beach. The Jam Lodge Hotel is the perfect Bed & Breakfast for business executives wanting to be near corporate offices or vacationers who want to have the comfort and amenities of a hotel at the fraction of the cost.
Very happy to recommend this hotel. Our room was immaculately clean, with ensuite, very comfortable bed, ac and tv with international channels. The location was close enough to the centre for easy access but far enough away to be out of the worst of the congestion. The staff were lovely and made us feel at home. The restaurant had both western and african dishes. We will be sure to stay there on our next visit to Freetown.

Welcome to the Seaside Hotel, the suites on the Atlantic and your dream and leisure vacation home. Seaside hotel is located at Aberdeen, the western area of Freetown, on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
This trip has been nothing short of amazing. This hotel gives you an at home vibe with sitting areas on each floor. The staff are great and very helpful. The food is fantastic!!! This is a place for those that want to have an at home feeling but be served like a king or queen. I will be bringing more people here ASAP.

Travelling solo to enjoy some winter sights in Iceland. Andy was an amazing tour guide! He handled a small tour bus with care and caution in driving rain and high winds. I peppered him with many questions, and he answered them all with ease! Only 5 people on the tour, and we were fortunate that Andy was our driver! Town of Vik didn't disappoint! Several famous waterfalls with names I can't spell or pronounce, and the dangerous, yet beautiful Black Diamond Beach. Will cherish these photos forever!

I loved this place. I stayed with my group booking all of the huts for 5 days and I could not believe what a paradise we arrived into. From the asphalt you need to do some offroad to reach the place but once there...whoa!!! The private beach is amazing with nice and calm warm water. The area is all forest, such a difference from all the deforestation going on in Sierra Leone and specially Freetown peninsula right now. The food that is prepared here is simply amazing, always fresh fish taken from local fishermen wisely cooked and eaten on the beachfront. The Ecological concept of the resort is simply amazing, good job for that! But what made the stay even more incredible than what it was already is Martin, the owner. Such a helpful, welcoming, funny and cheerful person that will make you never want to go away. Now that we are back home in Italy, all our group wants to find a way to go back there. Great place, great stay. Thank you!
