Reviewed By MichaelSchindlAs we missed the ferry to Santo Antao, we were lucky to get a room at the Blue Marlin Hotel. The location is great and we had an amazing view from our spacious balcony. The rooms are spacious and clean. We enjoyed our short stay.

The hotel cancelled our booking and followed up with terrible service
Reviewed By Greg SI booked this hotel for 3 nights for more than 2 months in advance. A couple of days before we were due to arrive I received an email from the hotel stating that we could no longer stay due to some booking system mix-up. I guess something like this can happen occasionally, but the short notice and lack of customer service was a terrible experience (e.g. they didn't offer to help find alternative accommodation until I expressed my displeasure at the situation). Good luck if you book here.

Reviewed By frankv851We had two stays at the hotel with a trip to Santo Antao in between. The rooms are big enough for a couple of days. My tip is to book a deluxe room as the other rooms have a 140cm bed. Airco works well and every room has a small fridge which is convenient. Unfortunately we got sick from the food the second day. Edilio (Eddy) who works the reception was very accomodating to us as he brought us herbal tea and asked if there was anything else he could do for us. During our trip to Santo Antao we could leave some of our luggage at the hotel so we could travel light to Santo Antao which works out very well. All in all a really good stay where Eddy is the one who makes it worth while to stay here

Great view from the terrace but not from the room we had... if you are looking to discover the life of capeverdian people, this is not the right place and the staff is quiet and not very present. On the other reviews, we read the breakfast was amazing but according to me it was just good. Still a nice place to stay.

Hotel Pont D'Agua is located in the city center with one of Mindelo's most privileged views, Monte Cara, a simple and harmonious view. 10 minutes from the airport with easy access, as well as 5 minutes from the seaport. The hotel has excellent and superb rooms, with an excellent restaurant, a beach club, and a pool. Is to be expected environment clean, quiet, and pleasant.
