Welcome to Matareva Beach Fales Matareva is a village community-owned beach fales and resort, run and managed by Togialelei Tavita Faletoese's family, one of the village chiefs. The family and the chiefs are working together to create job opportunities for the village youths, who are trained in the hospitality field. We are located on one of the largest white sand beaches in Upolu. Our 16 beach
Rooms were nice and authentic, but the beach however is the main highlight. Matareva is underrated when it comes to the beach, I would say its up there with Lalomanu, Vavau and Siufaga Beach. Crystal clear, turquoise water and usually never crowded.

We are having 18 beach fales directly at the beach - you could easily go for a swim after waking up - and 12 ensuite rooms with basic facilities. We are also offering a breakfast and traditional samoan food for dinner. Once a week we are having a show called Fiafia which includes some of the most famous polynesian dances including the impressive firedance. On request we will arrange a bonfire at night for your amusement.
The places natural beauty is unsurpassed. The Fales were simple but great. It was nice to be able to isolate ourselves from civilisation. It is usually a bit or even never crowded. It was tropical paradise at its finest.

Talofa Inn is a suitable "home away from home" for tourists, business travelers, couples and families. We offer long term rates for 2 weeks plus stay. We can also offer corporate rates for long-term accommodation while working in Samoa. We offer six modern town rooms (3 double room en-suites, 1 twin room en-suite, 2 single rooms with access to own private bathroom), a dining room, fully equipped communal kitchen, lounge/TV room area, & a balcony area with bbq (gas & charcoal). Each en-suite is furnished with a sofa bed, and therefore able to accommodate up to 4 persons. We are centrally located to all amenities, including supermarkets, fruit & vegetable markets, fish and handicraft markets, as well as a range of cafes and restaurants.
My arrival at Samoa scheduled for 5.30am and the official check-in at the planned hotel at 3pm, I decided to book a reasonably priced accomodation already for the night that had passed. My choice fell on the 'Talofa Inn', mainly due to various positive comments. There had been quite a correspondance regarding the transfer from the airport by shuttle service, but that didn't work, so I took a taxi for WST 60, which was not too bad. After a nice breakfast with plenty of fruit, served at the table, I was shown room No 4, which was quite big, but facing the main road, with quite a lot of traffic during the day, but not too bad during the night. The accomodation in a quite central location consists of only 6 rooms, all quite different. There was a bathroom with shower attached, but the washbasin was in the bedroom. There was enough storage space everywhere. It had a bar of soap and in the shower a liquid soap dispenser. Shampoo has to be taken along. When I arrived the lady (Tsafea) told me that checkout is at 10am, but when I had a look at the contract and at the hotels information leaflet, it definitely said 11am. The next day another lady (Leausa) was in charge and I was able to leave my luggage by the reception until a taxi took me to my next accomodation.

For the busy corporate, holiday-maker, and long term student. Lynn’s Getaway is the perfect retreat. Located 2 minutes from the National Hospital. Rooms for the long term student or enjoy luxury amenities such as swimming pool, wifi and breakfast buffet.
Love mama lynn and all staffs here! They really look after you well and feed you well! Makes you feel like you really belong to this samoan family (very well family run place!) Mega friendly and sharing is caring is their motto♡ Karl takes people around the island and also organises affordable longer trips too. All the essentials are covered and if you need anything just ask. They are always willing to help! Surrounded by good eateries too but they provide free breakfast and sunday lunch anyway (samoans are more than generous when it comes to toanai!!). cannot thank them enough for such beautiful experience! miss them all!

Situated on the Saleaula Lava Fields fronting on to the ocean is this safe and peaceful haven. Built for your comfort and privacy, Bayview Resort offers beauty that is natural and untouched. The dramatic Lava surrounding and the islet opposite the resort is pure nature, with fresh water springs bubbling up in the midst of the lava rocks, and creates a fresh water pool to soothe you when you feel hot. A place to unwind and recuperate before you explore its historic surroundings. Comfortable, panoramic scenery, affordable and worth it.
My Samoa trip - bucket list tick off . What can I say ? No stars for a start . paid in advance and the host was a great communicator. Upon arrival at the “resort “ I was lost for words . What was paid for and what was expected was not what I was presented with . The photos were clearly photoshopped in harsh reality the “ resort “ was in need of much repairs and maintenance. Had I booked and paid for being a guest in private village home I could have understood but I hadn’t . The place is set in the lava fields which is a google map place of interest however no justice has been done .the lava formations were used as rubbish dumps, and Mother Nature pushes a few plants out . We were presented with the ocean front “suite “ the walk to it was questionable, the patio around it was unstable , the “ pool “ was non existent. I did not attempt to check the water in the “ bathroom “ as the frugal room where the bed was has a lot that I will leave unsaid . As for the food , we were presented a menu and told “ Sorry only 2 dishes are available- — a lot needs rectifying there including the lack of communication from the host and the way her team seeked me out at another establishment for The keys ( Of which I was entitled to hold ) needless to say we did not stay there and walked to find an alternative place to stay for our 2 weeks in savaii . I hope the host takes my honesty positively Bk

I selected this place as a result of the glowing reviews and perfect location. We were shown to our room upon arrival - it was more like an apartment than a room with four beds, a dining area, kitchen and bathroom. The room itself was more than comfortable and it certainly served its purpose. It had seen some better days but you very much get what you pay for - this was an entry level price so we got an entry level room. A couple of things that were somewhat of a challenge for us though and were conducive to a good nights rest. - the 3am wake up call from the roosters. - the message from a staff member to leave our outside light on overnight “for the protection of our car” - the music playing from the restaurant up until 11pm. We were able to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant. They had a great selection of foods available - and they even offered us eggs on toast which was a pleasant surprise. Really enjoyed breakfast. A nice location with great views but maybe not the best place to stay if you’re looking for a peaceful sleep.

The accommodation is more suited for backpackers, travelers on a budget or temporary workers. Ok for a couple nights only. The room and a bathroom were very small but clean. I had a feeling that I am in the 80's. The personal was nice and helpful. There is no big varieties of dishes for breakfast. But staff are very nice. For example, there was not a mayonnaise for the eggs and the owner said it is first time someone is asking for it. Next morning a mayo was on the counter top especially for us. The hotel is 3-5 minutes away from the beach. We were not happy about the beaches - there are most elderly people.

I stayed here at the recommendation of my friend and I was extremely happy with my stay. It made an excellent home base for my week long trip in Savaii. I could easily travel to all the different sights in Savaii and then come back to a comfortable room. The back porch over the water was a definite highlight of my stay. The stars at night were incredible and the water out back was wonderful to swim in. While there was not a beach, it honestly didn't make a difference. The water was beautiful and free from rocks and coral making the swim just as pleasant as at a beach. The rooms were comfortable with good airflow from the almost constant breeze. The food was excellent (especially the curry fish!) and varied. I had a wonderful time and will recommend it to others who are coming out.
