Romantic Rhineland-Palatinate is at the very heart of Riesling production in Germany, home to the largest wine regions in the country. The state is defined by lush vineyards, quaint medieval villages, UNESCO World Heritage sites, picturesque castles, volcanic lakes and wine-rich valleys. Its sylvan forests and rising mountains provide the perfect backdrop to a summer hike, bike ride or wine tasting adventure, while its cities and towns are alive with cultural activities and festivals.

I took my son (8 years old) for a night there so we could spend some quality time together. All in all we loved it! Our room was great - we loved the deco and the balcony with a view of the Rhine. We hit the pool and relaxed in the spa area. A few minor complaints here though! 1. My son couldn’t get a bath robe but other kids at the pool seemed to have them. 2. Kids are only allowed in the pool until 16:30. This is too early as lots of families like a swim after a day out before dinner. This should definitely be moved back until @18:00. The bar area was lovely with a small sandy area with swings which really appealed to my son. The service was friendly and the prices acceptable. We were not happy when we booked the hotel though that we could only get a dinner table at 17:30. We would never eat so early! Maybe ok for people with toddlers! The hotel offers 2 sittings - 1 at 17:30 and 1 at 20:00. We were lucky in that our reservation could be switched to 20:00 on the day of our arrival. This was however a bit too late for an 8 year old and we had to get snacks from the Trust Bar (a nice touch!) to keep us going. We would ideally have wanted to eat @ 19:00. We ate in the Italian restaurant and the food was good. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast next day although a second coffee machine would be good for busy mornings like this one. Overall we had a great experience but there is bit of room for improvement. We do however plan on returning!

Located in the heart of the old town of Trier the Romantik Hotel “zur Glocke” invites you to spend the night in a unique historical ambience. “The Glocke” is an institution in Trier. Beside a hotel it is the oldest pub in town and has been in the gastronomical business since 1803. However, the history of the building at Glockenstraße 12 can be traced back much longer. The listed front house was built in 1567 on walls dating from the 12th century. The historical cellar vault dates back to the fortification of the Cathedral in the 11th century. From 2012 to 2016, the Glocke was laboriously renovated. In addition, the hotel business, which was discontinued in the 1990s, was resumed. The guests can now expect lovingly and individually decorated rooms over four floor levels. Besides spacious double rooms, the owner-managed hotel offers suites and junior suites. Some of the rooms have a beautiful view of the Cathedral of Trier.
Excellent location, beautifully appointed, spacious rooms with superb bathrooms. The staff is very kind and helpful, the location optimal for sightseeing, the restaurant very cozy and good. Great value for the money and altogether a wonderful experience.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. it's in a beautiful old building, but the rooms are kept modern. The rooms were very spacious, breakfast was great, the location of the hotel is also just a couple of minutes walking from the town center, right on the Mosel river. Private parking is available, the building involves quite a number of steps, so guests need to be able to navigate those. upon arrival we were greeted by the most adorable front desk worker, Mozart, a young and exuberant puppy that made our whole groups day!!!! We would definintely stay here again!

Very pleasant little hotel with a terrific breakfast buffet worthy of a much bigger hotel. The rooms are pleasant and clean but the walls are a bit thin. Obviously other guest were also enjoying the hotel. This would be a great base for exploring all of the Mosel. Right on the river with the vineyards in your face. Would certainly come again.

The B&B is situated in a unique area in the old town quarter on the footpath towards the famous Imperial Castle alongside wine cellars and vineyards. Just a few steps away from the pedestrian area with restaurants and bars, various sights and the pleasant promenade along the Moselle and his famous riverboats. From this point you can easily explore the highlights of Cochem or any of the variety of attractions on offer in the region including: wine, art & culture, water sports & relaxation, a nature lover’s paradise for hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists with many interesting paths. We also highly recommend attending one of the popular wine festivals, a trip to the Eifel Volcano, shopping & culture in the ancient Roman city Trier or to relax in the Aquapark Moselbad. In short: a special location for a vacation or a short stay for young and old! We hope to welcome you soon as our guest at B&B COCHEM.
What a find! We cannot recommend City B&B Cochem highly enough. After a long drive from the UK, we were greeted by Bas at the door and, throughout our stay, nothing was ever too much trouble. We were shown our reserved parking spot, our room "Lancelot" (which had a fully stocked kitchenette & dining table area, including mini bar), well equipped bedroom, dressing area and en-suite. It was all of a high standard. Bas was very well prepared with suggestions for things to do, see and eat. Bas made us feel quickly at home. After a restful nights sleep City B&B puts on an exceptional breakfast. I had forgotten to inform City B&B that I am gluten intolerant. Although this would have been good for City B&B to have been informed in advance, this seemed to be no trouble at all. I was catered for much better than I have at any UK hotel. We initially booked City B&B for its proximity to the castle, where we had booked to enjoy a medieval banquet beforehand, but feel we did far more than expected due to Bas' information and guidance. We will definitely go back to Cochem again, as there is still lots to explore and look forward to staying at City B&B again soon.

This is a nice place near the historic center of Trier, and a 10-minute walk from the train station. Very clean and modern, with a focus on modern. Keyless rooms using codes and al electronic check in. Breakfast is very good, with a nice breakfast lady. Not really geared to English speakers, but we all found a way to communicate. So quiet at night, which was nice after a lot of noisy hotels elsewhere. We'd gladly stay here again.

This hotel is the best. We stayed here for a week while hiking on the Moselstieg. The hotel has a great location close to the bridge. It is rather new and everything is extremely well maintained. Our room was really nice and cozy, and we loved the balcony facing the courtyard, where we could sit at night even when it rained. The shower was nice and spacious. Despite up to 40 degrees celcius the aircon still kept the room cooled. The staff is friendly and the breakfast was good. We felt welcome and relaxed here, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Bernkastel-Kues again.

The hotel breathes style and romanticism. The welcome at the reception was extremely friendly and the whole place is lovely decorated with attention to details. Breakfast was not extravagantly extensive but everything one needs in order to start the day well was there. The view on the Rhine from our room was a nice bonus. The hotel is not very easy to find in the village, perhaps better signage or a route description following the booking confirmation would be a better idea. A nice base to explore the area and enjoy good service, beautiful decorations and tasteful design.
