The Guest House is located in the center of Agnone, a small and ancient village in Alto Molise area, known worldwide for the sound of its wonderful and millenary bells. With its artistic beauty, ancient history, the elegant mullioned windows, the stores, the carved lions, the fire that melts the metal in the workshops, Agnone has received the title of Orange Flag, and it is a member of the 100 most beautiful ancient villages in Italy since 2005.
Lovely rooms in a quiet part of the old town. Deliciously furnished and very clean. Rosita, the host is a lovely and very caring person. Attention to detail and hints to the local history, the old stone arched breakfast room is stunning.

The Bed & Breakfast Borgo San Pietro is named after the nearby church of San Pietro (XI Century). Borgo San Pietro is composed by fine rooms and apartments in two buildings. These have been beautifully renovated by local craftsmen. Is located on the historical Agnone “The City of Art” downtown, known as well as architectural gem and capital of Alto Molise which was awarded the Orange Flag by the Italian Touring Club.
Stayed in a very cute and private room with a view of the valley. Everything is centralized and within walking distance. The cafe where the complimentary breakfast is served was very gorgeous and staff is extremely helpful. The hostess was very kind, warm, and hospitable. Would most definitely come back again.

Simple and elegant inn with attention to sanitary details that made me feel safe and comfortable. The food was delicious and wholesome. The Palace of the delPrete di Belmonte rises in the middle of the old town centre of Venafro. The palace, on one of the cardinal roads of the Roman town, was restructured in neoclassical style around 1860. It has an enchanting internal garden, surrounded by other buildings. The upper floor of the palace is furnished with period furniture and the rooms, all with air-conditioning, wi-fi and private bathrooms, are available for guests. The ground floor, once used to keep carriages, has been transformed into a beautiful hall available for small conferences, private meetings and other social events. On the main floor, guests may enjoy breakfast in an elegant drawing room decorated with frescoed ceilings depicting views of the town and the delPrete country estates. Venafro, of pre-Roman origin (Samnites), is located in the lovely Volturno valley at the feet of Santa Croce mountain. In Venafro, one can find ruins of a Roman aqueduct, theatre and amphitheatre. Also of interest is the late-Romanesque Cathedral and the lombard Pandone castle. The archaeological Museum in the ex-convent of St.Chiara exhibits Roman finds, including a precious collection donated by the old delPrete family. The Latin poets Horatius, Plinius, Varro and Martialis praised Venafro because of the healthy air, the beautiful surroundings and above all, the olive groves from which even today is still produced an extraordinary fine olive oil.
This little palace would be one of the most special places in the area of Molise. This was the second time we have stayed here - and it was even better than the first ! We were there nearly a week so had the little apartment, which suited our needs perfectly. The location is a perfect base for exploring this area and Venafro has its castle/museum and the Winterline Museum - both of which are must see’s. Dorothy our host, gave us a lovely tour of her home, including the little chapel and the original kitchen. Dorothy is extremely helpful with restaurant and attraction recommendations. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

The elegant "Residenza Portacastello-Graffolus" is located in a very calm and quiet position, just a few meters from the historic Sant'Angelo square and Piazza Municipio (with the 14th century façade of the Civic Palace and the Church of Sant'Angelo) Antonio) and a 5-minute walk from Isernia Cathedral and Romanesque Fountain Fountain.
I was in Isernia, my grandmother's ancestral town, in June of 2019 and meant to write a review then but never got around to it,so I do so now.. I cannot really comment on COVID-19 prescautions there because I traveled pre-COVID. The Residenze Portacastello has much to recommend it. Great location, very pleasant public spaces, reasonably priced. My room was on the ground floor and was a bit dark at night, but a) the air conditioning was great--it was very hot outside when I was there; b) my room had the most spacious and best appointed bathroom of any hotel I stayed at across my several weeks in Italy, and c) while yes, you had to walk a ways to the cafe that served breakfast for the hotel, it's a pleasant walk and the cafe itself was also very pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.

Roccamandolfi is the village that my grandfather immigrated from in 1911. I've visited several times, but this was the first time at the hotel under current management. The entire place, both rooms and common areas are sparkling clean and well furnished. Bed was really comfortable. The staff, Enzo, Roasanna, Rudolfo and Nonna were super attentive, friendly and made us feel like family. We only ate breakfast there, but it was plentiful and delicious with lots of homemade items. Highly recommend!

Second time that I stayed in this b&b. Borgo is hands down, a perfect place to stay. Is in the heart of Roccasicura, a small village in the middle of the mountains (with something like 600 people) this b&b is cozy and it makes you feel at home. Big clean rooms, a fireplace in the common area and a well-equiped kitchen. To anyone with Italian roots this will be a clear memory of your grandparents: the food, the hospitality, the love in everything. Renata and Silvio were the perfect hosts, always there for everything. Super nice homemade breakfast, also with local products (try the ferratelle!) the people in the village are also nice and curious (try to talk to them, they will have stories!) - if you want some piece and quiet, or if you want to go skiing this is a really good spot. I will come back for sure :)
