The landscape that inspired Anne of Green Gables entices legions of lovers to Canadaâs smallest province. Peaceful P.E.I. is a slow paced haven, full of distinctively Maritime delights. Red sandstone cliffs rise above gentle beaches. Lonely lighthouses dot rocky bluffs. Deserted trails beckon for romantic roaming.

Spectacular views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, comfortable en-suite rooms and delicious local fare served in our licensed dining room. Full hot or cold breakfast for guests. Secluded but close to Souris and many local attractions including deep sea tuna fishing charters, golf and the Magdalene Island ferry.
Amazing hospitality and beautiful views are how I’d describe my stay here. Mellanie and Dave are very inviting and always up for a friendly chat. Their dog Jonsey is always up for a friendly walk around the property. A great stay and looking forward to next time.

My husband and I spent 4 nights at this beautiful Victorian B and B,in the Library Room.It is furnished with gorgeous antigues, and is spotless..Viola and family were so attentive. We felt very safe ,as all Covid protocols were followed .The breakfasts were delicious, beautifully presented and served daily by Rafel-a wonderful young man who we enjoyed chatting with each morning.Rafel, your parents must be so very proud of you,as you are a true asset to the family business.Viola went out of her way to make sure she was there to greet us on our late checkin on day one,and also arranged for early breakfast for us on checkout day.And when we had a bit of a glitch for charging our EV,once again Viola helped us out. This was by far far one of our favorite B and Bs and we would highly recommend it.

Went for lunch with my Mother and Father, we had been quite excited about going there for lunch as we'd heard good reviews, however, after waiting over an hour to get our food, my lasagne was the driest that I've ever had, there was no juice in it whatsoever, it had been cooked that much it was burnt in areas too, it was the worst lasagne ever. My Mum's curry was so thin it resembled soup and her naan bread was like a rock it was that hard. My Dad had a lovely piece of fish and he was happy, but will I be returning no that's a definite.

A beautiful, homey house with charm & history. Our room was grand, clean and spacious. It even had a jacuzzi which surprised us. Bed was comfortable. The place is walking distance to downtown Charlottetown. Breakfast was amazing and delicious! Hostess was very friendly and kind. Will stay here next time we visit PEI!

Authentic Victorian Inn within walking distance of everything in downtown Charlottetown - updated with modern amenities.
We enjoyed four restful, comfortable nights in the Confederate Suite at the gorgeous Charlotte's Rose Inn - located just a few minutes walk from "downtown" Charlottetown, PEI. The B & B's decor reflects the home's 1884 roots. Our consummate B & B hostess, Allysha, cheerfully provided restaurant recommendations, breakfast timing accommodation and even packed us a wonderful packaged breakfast for our early departure. The owners handle the gourmet breakfast preparation but we didn't see them at all during our stay. They did however provide for 24 hour/day snacks in the lovely dining room including maple bacon nibbles, baked treats and delicious cookies. The B & B is elegant and wonderfully maintained with Rain shower heads - at least in our room. Charlottetown was a beautiful historic destination. The favorable Canadian/US $ conversion enabled us a frugal stay in this luxury B & B.

I am trying to give a corrective rating review rather than a bad review and would like to first make note that this stay was fine and everyone was friendly. I do think it’s important to note that most of the highly rated reviews were when the Inn was under different management - I know this because we stayed here 5 years ago and had such an amazing experience, we made a special trip to Charlottetown just to stay here again. I didn’t think to check to see if it was under new management at the time, though something should have triggered an alarm when I tried to call and book direct through the inn and they told me to go through booking.com. When I said I wanted a specific room, I was directed to choose room 7 when I go to booking.com. Well imagine my disappointment when I go to book and no room numbers were listed. I then emailed the email I had used in the past through Canada’s B&B network website, but when I didn’t hear back and our trip was less than a week away, I caved and booked through booking.com. I made note of my situation and the room I requested and was met with a response that was matter of fact in that the room I wanted was booked so I would be in a different room. Sad, but could be my fault for waiting. Since we had such a great experience last time, we were willing to overlook the mishap. Then, when we arrived, I was met by smiling faces that were not those which I remembered. Though they were smiling, there was a definite language barrier and it was a struggle to converse. Something we loved so much about our last stay was the passion the hosts had for the city and their warm Atlantic hospitality, we left that stay proclaiming that people in PEI were the nicest friendliest people ever, and I would be hard pressed to provide that same feedback for the current hosts. Logistically speaking, the bed in room 2 was slanted, the room was warm, even in October and although there was an air conditioner, it didn’t work. Yes, there was some traffic noise, but being so close to town, that should be expected. There was a tag on the dresser to put on the door if you wanted your room cleaned which they said they offered between 10-3. We left our room at about 10:45 and put the tag on our door only to return at 4:30 to the tag remaining in the door and the room still in the same condition as we left. Lastly, as other recent reviews have mentioned, the breakfast was terrible. When we stayed last time, we raved about the pride they took in the delicious homemade breakfasts with candied bacon, fresh baked goods and attentive service. These breakfasts were barely warm, and lacking homemade pride; I would have preferred a continental motel breakfast. All in all, this was a decent stay, but you should only pay attention to the reviews since it has been under new management if you want to make an informed choice for your stay.

Laura and Steven, the third generation to live in this home, run this beautiful BnB. They were so gracious and helpful! Our room en-suite room was lovely and fitted with a Jacuzzi tub and cozy nooks where I could sit quietly and write in my journal while my honey watched TV. Breakfast of yummy pancakes was served in their dining room, and the house is filled with lovely needlework, quilts, and other homey touches.

Stayed at the Georgetown Historic Inn in October. Charged and paid full price for rooms - were told that the website has not been updated and there is no off season price. Make sure you check before you book. There was no offer to rebate us the $20.00 difference, per night, as advertised on the web site.

On this, our second stay at Driftwood Heights in Summerside, we continue to be extremely impressed with every aspect of this beautiful B&B. Hosts, Sean and Liz, are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Greeted by the couple’s two adorable dogs, the guest immediately feels “at home.” “At Home” that is with added comforts and luxuries. The decor is superb. We stayed this time in the Garden Wall Suite which is creatively decorated and offers a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and a chaise lounge. Decor throughout the home is modern with delightful added touches (vases with beautiful floral arrangements, quirky ornaments etc) but sprinkled throughout are touches of the past. The lounge reminded Clarence of one in his grandfather’s office at the courthouse in Sydney, CB, many decades ago while the lace tablecloths in the dining room provided the “just right” element of nostalgia. The breakfasts are superb whether the hosts are serving a quiche or crepes, preceded of course by a large bowl of fresh fruit. Ours was especially good with blueberries and strawberries both in season. Sean and Liz are very attuned to food allergies and make certain your breakfast meets your personal requirements. We stumbled across this wonderful accommodation by accident in 2019; concerns about the pandemic kept us at home until we were fully vaccinated; if fate favours us, we shall definitely be returning in 2022. Our one (rather minor complaint which had little impact on the overall quality of our stay) is that we would enjoy having a mini fridge in each room rather than a shared one in the delightful common area in the basement. With thanks to our fabulous hosts, Elaine & Clarence Falconer
