Beautiful Georgian Town House situated on a quiet side road just a minutes stroll to the centre of Pickering.
Excellent location, beautiful gardens. Easy access to the room via key safe. The room was beautifully decorated to a modern standard and was absolutely spotless. Our hosts Richard and Helen we’re friendly and very efficient. Our breakfast was fantastic with a good selection to choose from. Even Gluten free on request is available.

Omg.. what a inhospitable place arrived cold and wet Sept eve couldn't get heating too work. As for breakfast got growled at for asking for brown sauce a complete and utter waste of £90. Don't go please

A 17th century coaching Inn serving a wide range of local real ales and good quality, home-made food. There is an on site brewery and a dedicated music venue, The Cockpit, which opens for ticketed acoustic music every couple of weeks. There are 9 en-suite rooms available, 5 of which are fully refurbished. Large outdoor seating area at the rear of the building. There is also plenty of parking for customers, the entrance is at the rear of the building. The building dates from the early 17th Century and has been modified and added onto over the years, so be aware there are at least two sets of stairs up to the bedrooms - so not probably suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Stayed here before we went on North Yorkshire Moore railway, one night wasn't enough, stairs could be a problem for some but rooms with it, mini bar in room if wanted. Tv has all normal channels as well as Netflix and others

The cleanliness was absolutely first class and the food excellent. Small bar adjacent to the dining room a very relaxing two night stay. Twin beds very comfortable and view over the fields was an extra bonus. Nicely decorated and modern room with large modern en suite. Becky was front of house and could not be more attentive and friendly, she seemed to be everywhere in the hotel. PS if you want accomodation near Pickering it is not far from the centre but you definately need a car as the hotel is certainly not within walking distance and down a country lane too.

The White Horse Farm Inn is a 16th Century Country Inn, set on a hillside with panoramic views over the village of Rosedale Abbey, surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors. The bar and restaurant are full of old world charm and character featuring a roaring log fire. The bar offers a wide selection of traditional hand pulled ales, fine wines, and malt whiskies. Traditional Yorkshire Fayre is served daily, both in the cosy bar and the stylish restaurant. The extensive menu specialises in local game, fish, and organic meats. All meals are cooked to order using only the finest ingredients. We also have a wide variety of vegetarian options and are able to cater for any special dietary needs upon request. Located in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, a trip to Historic York will only take one hour by car and Yorkshires Heritage Coast is a mere 19 miles away. The White Horse Farm Inn guarantees you a warm welcome, a great atmosphere and excellent value.
We arrived early for our booked table and asked to have a drink in the bar first. This did not go well with the frosty lady at the bar - we weren’t allowed to sit in the bar and were told to go and sit in an empty, characterless room at the back. The waitress was good and tried her best, but the meal was very poor - tasteless sausages served with Smash and glutinous packet gravy. The scampi was good but the chips were not crisp or warm. The wine was beyond dreadful - of the lowest cheapest quality.

Fantastic welcome from Ashley and Alan - wonderful afternoon tea in the garden on arrival. My elderly parents had stayed a few times before and were greeted as old friends- so much appreciated in these “clinical” times! There is nothing to fault- we had rooms 11 and 12 and both were lovely - comfortable beds AND pillows (so often overlooked!), large bathrooms and good showers. Fresh milk in the fridge. Breakfast is a treat - the smoked salmon is great and everything is delightfully presented - even the cereals look pretty! Nothing was too much trouble for Ashley or Alan and we are already looking at when we can go again- not too long hopefully!

Hi. I rang up on Friday to see about staying at the Cayley Arms the following evening .I spoke to Becky initially and then had a call back from Tim. I immediately felt welcomed by both.... before we had even actually met. On arrival Becky greeted us and took us to our gorgeous room. Everything was immaculately clean and so tastefully decorated....and the bed was the comfiest we have ever slept in whilst away. We had made a reservation for the same evening for a meal. Please bear in mind that we had been to Whitby for the day, in the brisk sea air, and the meal still managed to totally satisfy our hungry stomachs. We both had the Steak and Ale pie which was so very tasty, with melt in the mouth steak, beautiful veg and lovely home made chips. The bar was atmospheric and we stayed for a few drinks before heading to bed. The following morning there was an array of cereal, yoghurts etc and/or a cooked option...the cooked breakfast was superb. Tim and Becky have worked very hard to totally renovate this charming establishment and have done an absolutely wonderful job .Both Becky and Tim were excellent hosts.. We cannot recommend the Cayley Arms enough and we definitely hope to stay there again....thank you Becky and Tim for a wonderful stay .Jo and Dale Martin

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at this idyllic B and B. We were in Pickering for a wedding and were late back- it was so lovely to return to our rooms left beautifully cosy with lamps lit so we didn’t have to stumble around. Lots of lovely little touches in the rooms like fresh flowers, a great range of teas and coffees and delicious homemade cake.
