Popped out for a quick meal and wow what a wonderful place. Served by Ellie who had found her Zen and was in top form, helpful and friendly and witty. Indie also added to the exeptional service and that was all before we had sampled the food which was without doubt “devine”. Probably the best burger and chips around. Thank you for an unexpectedly lovely evening :)

Our guests can also enjoy free parking at The Paisley Pear Pub. Sleep soundly in a kingsize Hypnos bed, on the Beaumont mattress, which is filled with a wool-silk mix and has a surface which regulates your body’s temperature.
Good location for my destination. Easy check in, & good price. Room crisp & clean. Three poor areas, the windowsill was sticky, like a drink had been spilt & I couldn't get any heating in the room, AC worked but not heat. Oh & closing the window took a lot of force! I didn't report any of this as none were critical. Electric car charging available & working. Not a bad price either. Ate a quick meal in the pub. Be warned it was very busy so book. Food was nice & served by a lovely team who helped me move to a quieter table. Despite being on a main road it was much quieter than I was expecting, bed was comfy so no issue sleeping. All in all a great stay & would use again.

First impressions last a lifetime and i would like to say a big thank you to BECCA for a warm welcome and hospitality. Definitely a key member of the team. This establishment was packed with lots of friendly staff buzzing around waiting on tables. A big well done the chefs, the food came out piping hot and well within time allocated tome as they were so busy. The food was really tasty and plenty of it. Have been back several times. A* However my last visit was ruined by an odious creature!!! A member of staff who thinks she is all powerful and holly! Definitely above her station, who has no respect for her co members and customs included. We all have bad days, don’t always get on with members of the team and or customers. Diplomacy and or professionalism says you keep your council, don’t air your frustrations Irrespective of if you like them or not. Barking at younger team members is a nono, Bad apple with a big mouth.

The Red Lion is nestled in the peaceful, idyllic village of East Haddon, surrounded by picturesque Northamptonshire countryside, just a few miles from Northampton. We are handily placed with ready access and egress from the major Motorway routes M1, M6, A14 & A1 being all within easy reach. Our warm and cosy pub boasts an intimate lounge area, large dining room & manicured gardens making it a great place either as a hideaway from the cold winter’s weather or somewhere to quietly luxuriate in the warm glow of a Summer's day.
We were working in the area so needed a hotel and a good evening meal so the Red Lion looked favourable. The hotel has recently been taken over and initial reviews din't look good but I have to say the management have addressed any problems and it is now first class. The meal we had was fabulous and served with really friendly staff. There are so many good dishes it's hard to recommend one. After two courses I wasn't going to attempt a pudding but weakend at the thought of Poached Pear Crumble, delicious.

Absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B, we had a wonderful stay. The room had everything we needed and more - warm and cosy even on a cold night, the bed was super comfy and the shower was great. We also appreciated the friendly welcome as well as the variety of snacks and the lovely breakfast hamper. The B&B is beautifully renovated and is in a really convenient location, not far from the M1 in a pretty village on the canal. There are two pubs and a restaurant only a couple of minutes' walk away and a nice coffee shop in the canal museum. Very much hoping we will return soon.

We stayed for three nights in the Green Room at the Hillcrest. We were made very welcome from the start, with Brenda and Dave being attentive and thoughtful hosts. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had the added bonus of a large bathroom with bath. It was also well-equipped with a fridge for fresh milk. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, with fresh fruit, cereal and a cooked option too. The dining room looks out onto a peaceful garden, full of birds and also a visiting pheasant. It was a short walk from Hillcrest into the village of Earls Barton. There was a good local pub there, The Old Swan, busy so worth booking, that was friendly and served quality pub food. The Nene Way is nearby so there are lots of options for riverside and lake side walks. Many thanks to Brenda and Dave for welcoming us into their home.
