The Boulots are the friendliest and most thoughtful people you'll ever come across. Their house is grand and the bedrooms are enormous. I stayed in 'Beijing'. Lovely bathroom facilities, everything elegant. Beautiful furniture and décor. Location immediately next to the Parc Roger Salengro, which is exactly as close to the centre as you'd wish to be. They can, and do, accommodate your car securely on their property. Though I didn't use it, the fridge had good value and interesting wine and beer. Their garden also, with its furniture is at your disposal. Breakfast is configured to suit your tastes - particular commendation for the home-made jam and for Monsieur's wonderful crêpes. I cannot imagine any way in which this offering could be improved. Fantastic (and look at the other reviews).

Previously a Benedictine living, this spacious house of the end of the 19th century accommodates 5 guest rooms since June 2007. This idyllic dwelling is happily situated, just below the saint Agnan bell tower and in the heart of the historical neighborhood. Opening on a wide-ranging garden, the place offers an enchanting view over the Loire River and the Sancerrois mounts. Each bedroom is differently garnished and offers an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
Excellent place tucked away in Cosne Cours sur Loire overlooking the river. Very welcoming, beautifully decorated and appointed overnight stay and excellent breakfast. Charming & friendly host. Winter stay, so no swimming, mind, but the gardens look lovely.

The place is absolutely beautiful and the lodgings were comfortable. Breakfast was like home not industrial and the family was very welcoming and had lots of information about the area. Rooms were spacious and beds were soft. The place was easy to find and the best part were the horses and the two cute dogs

Ideally situated in the city centre opposite the railway station, l'INTER-HOTEL NEVERS CENTRE GARE is 500 m from the Chasse de Sainte-Bernadette, the glass casket containing the body of St. Bernadette, 15 km from the Magny-Cours motor racing circuit and 200 m from the Musee de la Faience. An ideal place to stop off on the "La Loire a Velo" cycle route.
Confortable and flexible. Small but clean room. Exceptionnal staff :open on extra hours because I have a train to catch. Thank you, again. 30 sec from the railway station and 5 min from the City center... And the staff, again.

We stayed in this hotel while my husband went to the super bike meeting. Booked months ago and found there was very limited choice of hotels with rooms. This is a basic hotel but very clean and very comfortable bed, shower was great . we had a room on the front 2nd floor ( no lift ) long corridor with steps up and down . The highlight is the restaurant food, we do like to go into the town and eat at different places but I flatly refused to go anywhere else to eat the three nights we stayed here. The food was superb every night, try the trio of fish cooked in a parcel, also duck breast, and last night I enjoyed the lamb with wonderful mashed potato. The staff were first class all of them, wanted to take the chef back home with me . Prices of food and house wine very good, and I had a trio of puddings one night that was a wonderful experience .

Me and brother toured Europe on Motorbikes carrying tents and winging the trip without plans. One evening travelling from Switzerland to Burgundy it was getting late and we were in the middle of nowhere, We came across Chalet du Montal for food and drinks and to ask where we could camp. The place was like an oasis in the middle of the woods with lovely surroundings a stream a wooden decking balcony,it was just perfect and the Dutch owners were so welcoming,we had great food there and asked where we could stay? No worries the owner replied, you can camp here I have a field next door but no facilities but it’s free and you have a stream. Perfect!!! We set up camp and went back for an evening of drinks. Everything was perfect and we left the next morning after them feeding us breakfast. I hope to return again as this place was lovely, the owners were lovely and also a fantastic meal. Thank you guys for making us so welcome. Adam and Julian

My wife and I are in France quite a lot and having been through Ouroux-en-Morvan several times over the past years we thought it nice to go there for lunch. Le Lion D'Or always seemed a nice place so we decided to go over there. One big table outside was occupied, a few tables had a small sign that they carried a reservation, while the other tables appeared to be free since they didn't had the reservation notice. While I looked around a bit my wife was approached by what appeared to be the owner who quite unpleasantly asked her what she wanted. When she explained that we would have liked something to eat he rudely stated "Non, complet!" and just turned away. My wife and I looked at each other quite stunned, not quite understanding what just happened, so I went inside after him to ask for an explanation since several tables appeared to have no reservation. I only got a very agitated response in high speed French in which the word "complet" could be heard several times, which was extra peculiar because while standing inside, all I could see were empty tables without a reservation notice. Looking back this was a very unpleasant experience with a rude owner who for some reason or another just didn't want to serve us.

Chateau de Villette is a luxury Bed and Breakfast situated in the Regional Parc of the Morvan. It is surrounded by woodlands and open fiels with spectacular views. The park is about 200 Ha. The chateau has been completed renovated and offers very nice and comfortable rooms with ensuite bathrooms. There are beautiful gardens where you can sit outside or relax at the swimming pool. Dinner is possible on wednesday's and saturdays's; Other days on demand. On the estate there are also two renovated holiday cottages. Open all year.
Château de Villette is a stunning architectural gem with excellent, relaxed hospitality surrounded by glorious gardens and spectacular views. I have stayed more than once and my rooms have been exceptionally comfortable with the best beds and linen you will ever sleep in; bathrooms have really good power showers with big white fluffy towels, and every room is exquisitely furnished. Catherine is a highly-skilled cook and her food is as good as any serious restaurant without being pretentious; expect delicious, fresh, seasonal produce all cooked with a nod to Burgundy’s traditional classics and some clever twists. Coen is a wine expert with a varied cellar and plenty from the region. This is top hospitality and makes returning inevitable.
