Absolutely beautiful! The room was gorgeous and the spa bath was so very welcome!! The evening meal was delicious! I’m a vegan and they cooked me halloumi katsu curry and the most amazing rice I ever tasted! I’ll be back for sure, as I only live in St Austell! ? The owner. Aaron is a real sweetheart and the hotel receptionist who brought my meal to my room for me to be able to eat on the balcony was soo very lovely and kind. I don’t remember her name unfortunately. Thank you for making my stay beautiful and peaceful x

Wow what a welcome

Wow what a welcome from Nell and Simon to this family run hotel. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. We had room 5 with the decking and sea view, complete with egg chairs to relax in the sun. The rooms are cleaned daily and laundry changed. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The breakfasts are fantastic with options ranging from cereals, yoghurt, fruit, toast, preserves, croissants plus full English and various egg dishes. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and all served with a smile and offer of more should you still have room. We also used the small bar downstairs where there was a range of drinks all reasonable priced, some cheaper than the local pubs. Nell was a font of knowledge giving advice on some good restaurants and places to visit. A big thank you to Nells right hand lady who as well as keeping the rooms clean, also helped serve breakfast daily. Our biggest thank you is to Nell and Simon for your welcome and helping us enjoy our stay, we will be back. Love Pete and Linda

Come stay with us for a warm Cornish welcome. Our spotless 33 room guest house provides excellent value for money, with all the facilities you'd expect from a good quality B&B. In fact plenty of our guests come back year after year. Every room has central heating, a flat screen TV plus free tea and coffee making equipment. Many also feature gorgeous sea views. And we're only a stone's throw from Newquay's famous sandy beaches, great tourist facilities and pretty town centre. And, of course, there are lots of places to buy the famously delicious Cornish pasty! Famously balmy Newquay provides easy access to the entire Cornish road network. Penzance, St Michael's Mount and The Lizard are close by. And the magical Scilly Isles are easily accessible, too.

A budget hotel in need of investment

Reviewed By benjamind498

Sandwiched between two derelict properties this hotel is ripe for redevelopment. Although the accommodation was nearly empty we were given a room overlooking one of the derelicts rather than a sea view as our tour operator had not requested this. The property is very tired and where refurbished work has been carried out to the most basic standard. The furnishings in general are a throw back to the 1980’s. Even though my impressions were generally negative the rooms were clean, mattress comfortable, breakfast surprisingly good and the two staff I met professional and friendly.

Wonderful B&B

Me and my partner stayed here for a little break away to the beautiful cornish coastline. It was my partners first time in Newquay and my third after having some terrible hotels/B&B experiences in the past, I was delighted with this little gem! Situated right by the coast with lusty glaze just a 5 minuet walk away and the town centre and other fabulous beaches 10 minuet walk it was ideal. The host Cindy and Ash were lovely friendly people. The room was spacious and cleaned daily with a mini fridge with milk and water. There was tea, coffee and hot chocolate facilities even with some sweets and nuts on arrival. The bed was luxurious and the room was scented beautifully. We had an ensuite with a shower and guest access to netflix, prime and other streaming services just the thing to relax and unwind after exploring Newquays beaches and other attractions. The best part I have to say was the gorgeous full english breakfast, with various other options if you preferred, they catered to all tastes and appetites! Another bonus was their beautiful cat who was extremely friendly allowing us to pet and stroke, which was great as we were missing our own cats from home! They have chickens roaming free in the garden which was lovely to see. Would definitely recommend this place it was a perfect little place to getaway from the mundane work, eat, sleep routine. It feels like your in a home away from home. Would like to thank Cindy and Ash for their fantastic hospitality!

You'll find St Christopher's Inn, Newquay perched on a cliff top, overlooking the beautiful Towan Beach. This stunning location on the southern tip of England is the perfect mix of sun, sand and sea. You'll also find the Escape Surf School in the same building - making this hostel in Newquay the perfect place to slip into a wetsuit and hit the waves. After a day of working out in the water, the on-site Belushi's bar and restaurant is the top spot to recharge and make new friends, as you enjoy the outdoor sun deck, summer BBQs, and all round good times. This backpacker base in Newquay doesn't just connect you to one beach - it's actually close to eleven sandy shores, making it the perfect place to stay when the Zapcat King of the Waves speedboat competitions roar into the area and smash across the sea. Another annual highlight in the area is the Rip Curl Boardmasters Festival when, for a whole week, you can hit the beach for surf, skate, BMX and bikini competitions galore - not to mention the best live music in Europe. If you follow the shores beyond the beach you'll find the ruins of Tintagel Castle - the legendary home of Merlin the Magician, Uther Pendragon, King Arthur and the one and only Knights of the Round Table. Another international tourism treasure in Cornwall has to be the nearby Eden Project - Britain's very first, self-contained biosphere and the cutting edge of all things environmental.

A long time ago, me and my friend arrived to Newquay in the middle of the night in April. We didn't book anything because we had hoped for good wheather and a safe quiet city. When at 4am, freezing in the night, a crazy guy in front of us tried to force an entrance we left in a hurry and somehow got to the entrance of this hostel and rested on the stairs. A guy working there arrived, he had probably seen us in a camera or something and asked for an explaination of why we were there. We told him about the crazy guy and he offered us a room for free in exchange for a good review. Thank you buddy.

Awful

I wasn't going to do this but it's been playing on my mind.. I was booked in for initially 3months for work. Unfortunately I only stayed 1 night. As I drove up it looked a reasonable place, however on opening the door the stench hit me. The lady who booked me in was pleasant enough. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years. The single room inwhich I had been booked into was dirty, smelly. The ensuite was tiny, outdated and to look directly at the mirror I had to lean on the toilet. The room was above the bar and though understandable to have some noise but I could hear every single word that was said.Booked out after one night which was enough.

It was a quick weekend getaway for me, wife and my 15 month old daughter. Karen -owner and hostess was so friendly and welcoming. We felt like we were at home. The room was spotless and so cozy. James has done a really good job (with the help of 7000 nails), updating the garden and the back rooms, gave it a cozy log cabin feeling with uninterrupted wifi. No noise, japanese themed garden was great. Free guest parking and 24hr cctv in operation. Private entrance.Full english breakfast (we had vegetarian breakfast- £6 per head per night) was amazing and very reasonably priced. There was also cofee machine and continental breakfast. We will definitely visit again if we come to Newquay. Me, Wife and daughter loved our experience there. Highly recommended.

Nice family meal out

Reviewed By F9062QNchrisw

We went here for dinner last night and we weren’t disappointed. It’s n a really good location overlooking the bay and being overlooked by rolling hills. It appeared clean and well run. Service was good despite being really busy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The menu was not sophisticated, however, there burgers and pizzas were really really good. My youngest enjoyed scampi which was lovely. If your hearing isn’t great like mine then you’ll struggle acoustically with the back ground noise. The toilets were clean. Overall we had a nice evening, good food and good service.
