With its rich cultural heritage from Native American and Spanish settlers, New Mexico has been both a Spanish colony and a Mexican colony, and still retains a strong individual identity within the United States. The landscape is breathtaking, the food incredible, and there is a thriving cultural scene, all of which makes New Mexico, and Santa Fe in particular, a great place all year long.

Experience the Historic Taos ambiance of the Inn on La Loma Plaza, located 2 1/2 blocks from the historic downtown Plaza. The Inn, sequestered behind high adobe walls, provides intimate and luxurious accommodations. Beautifully restored, the Inn is an historic hacienda from 1800, combining elements of Pueblo Indian and Spanish colonial architecture, and sitting atop a hill that overlooks Taos and the surrounding Sangre de Cristo mountains. The Inn’s collection of antiques, unique furnishings, and works of art reflect the diverse history and culture of Taos. The Inn’s expansive grounds, towering trees, and mountain views offer guests quiet seclusion, just a few blocks from the Historic Taos Plaza. Our public spaces feature thick adobe walls, high ceilings, fountains, lush foliage, and quiet corners. Each guest room has its own distinctive style with wood-burning fireplaces, sitting areas, hand-carved woodwork, and most with private patios, or decks and mountain views. Enjoy a full gourmet breakfast each morning, as well as afternoon snacks and beverages. Walk to downtown Taos, explore Taos Pueblo, hit the slopes at Taos Ski Valley, or take a day trip to Santa Fe. We invite you to stop by our front desk for friendly concierge service. Inn on La Loma Plaza providing guest with Taos charm, casual elegance, and genuine hospitality since 1991.
There are some fantastic things about this Inn. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are unique, the area is quiet and residential, there is a lot of interesting memorabilia around. The staff member we most interacted with, Lucinda, was so sweet and accommodating. The walk to town is ok. The sidewalk is across a busy street, although you can walk along side of the road. I'd agree with the score of 76, "somewhat walkable". There is a two week cancellation policy, and I really try to avoid making reservations that are that restrictive. Because, things happen, like Covid and wildfires. Peggy was kind enough to point out that she would provide a "rain check" if we cancelled, that is really not very helpful, as we are from Ohio, and if this trip didn't happen as planned, I was unsure if we would ever reschedule this trip. She did allow us five days prior, which was accommodating and appreciated. Breakfast was very tasty, although the methods were a bit odd. You must choose every single item you want "down to each pat of butter", the day before. And, you have to choose the time you want to eat, in half hour increments. Yes, I know...Covid. But this really puts a damper on the care-free vacation feeling that most travelers cherish. And, every other hotel we stayed at during our trip was back to regular breakfast buffets. So, as I said. Mostly good.

Abiquiu Inn is perfectly situated in the beautiful Chama River Valley close to the Georgia O'Keeffe Home & Studio. The casitas are lovely with cozy fireplaces & breathtaking views. Explore the magnificent landscape made famous by Georgia O'Keeffe. Cafe Abiquiu features a delightful New Mexican menu & AZUL Gift Store offers pottery, paintings and jewelry created by local & international artists. Wine and beer served and small meeting spaces available.
There are several buildings behind the reception building/restaurant/gift shop. My building had three rooms, my #16 was large. It had a fridge, microwave, hotplate and table. Out the back door was a screened in porch with a view of fields and beyond. In front was a grove of cottonwoods. Birders: crows, ravens, American Kestrel, Western Bluebird, Redwing Blackbirds, and they are pretty tame for photography. The bed was a four-poster, comfortable. This is a large room...oh, and a fireplace. An outdoor patio had perfect temperature May 1-2. Food and service were wonderful.

Palacio de Marquesa is a small, quaint 8 room bed and breakfast. We are located 1/2 mile from historic, Taos Plaza where you can visit many historic sites, museums, galleries, shops & restaurants. Palacio was built in the 1920s and is built on 7/10 of an acre. Our 8' high walls and seventeen old growth cottonwood trees offer unparalleled privacy in a stunning natural setting. Our sister property the El Monte Sagrado is also located 1/2 mile away and offers many additional amenities including pool, hot tub, spa, valet, and 15% discounts on food and beverage during your stay.
We were expecting so much from this B&B , having read the reviews. There are positives in that it is situated in a quiet street very close to the plaza and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty but there was not much variety. The grounds are in need of some t.l.c. and looked very sad and forgotten about. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom needed to be cleaned more thoroughly as did the sitting room area. Outside, the metal chairs were not wiped down. It just felt that staff were not going over and above to make sure that guests were comfortable. For the price we would have expected a much higher quality of service and accommodation.

We were looking for lodging for a night between Taos and Bandelier (then Santa Fe). We didn’t expect much in Española, but Inn at the Delta was an incredibly beautiful place with spacious, well appointed rooms at an economical price. We’d come back here just to stay at this inn.

The Parador is a 200-year-old former farmhouse with a vibrant past, situated in historic downtown Santa Fe. Now operating as a hybrid hotel and non-profit for artists, we celebrate the intersection between multi-disciplinary, intercultural creatives, mindful travelers and art aficionados from around the world.
Really loved the location. The breakfasts were great as well. That said, (constructive criticism) it would have been nice to have a table and chairs somewhere in the room and to have an ICE MAKER somewhere on the property. To get ice, we had to wait until someone happened to be at the front desk to get it out of the kitchen, Hate to sound negative because if we ever went to Santa Fe again, we would stay at The Parador.
