Restaurant services a very good dinner. Great breakfast with lots of choices. Stay at this hotel if you are in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Two days in desert
Reviewed By sevenevesWe were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to this camping booked by our tour agency, We arrived to a very welcoming atmosphere with Berber music and local food. It was my wife's birthday that day and we were met with a huge surprise cake. Thank you for this! The tents are more like private huts with proper bed and sheets and ensuite toilet/shower. Solar energy based hot water and electricity are available at times. Having head lamps might be a good idea just in case. Food is tasty and plentiful. All dishes are of local origin and vegetarian options are available if arranged in advance. Breakfast has just enough choice of diversity with instant coffee, tea and hot milk. The caping is located in the Erg Chebbi dunes and it feels being inside the desert at all times. Remote location (about an hour and a half of camel ride) to the tallest dunes makes it isolated from other campings, which makes the nights quiet and relaxing. The camping is far from dusty and busy roads and the air is clean and fresh. We recommend!

The staff seemed to be trying really hard but there are a lot of thongs that need attention before this hotel could be rated above a three. It is too bad because it is a cool looking place at first glance. 1. Shower didn't work. 2. Hardest most uncomfortable bed, I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. 3. Satellite TV tuned to all Arabic stations. 4. Phone didn't work. This normally wouldn't matter much, but it is a bit of a walk to the main building from all the rooms. A big inconvenience when you are undressed and ready to get in the shower and find out it doesn't work!

Reviewed By embrue_menAs we were stopping over on our way to Merzouga, our expectations were relatively simple. The service was excellent, from arrival and dinner to a washed car in the morning. The dinner was delicious, rich, not to say too much for two grown men. We had a similar experience at breakfast, which was also very tasty. Despite the shortness of our stay, a short walk through the village was fascinating and brought us a little closer to the life of the people here. Thank you so much for this unique accommodation!

Comparing to a few other places we had seen by the time, we really enjoyed dinner and breakfast which was included in the room rate and of great quality! Also the host was extremely friendly and went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. I can definitely recommend going!

Today we went for lunch and asked if there are open and yes they were. We sat down waiting for server. Meanwhile we saw couple managers walking and drinking tea, passing by us not even say hello or if anyone is taking care of us. After sitting and looking at workers passing by for 40 minutes we decided to ask someone for service. We felt we are extra and seeing management walking around us and not care for customer stering at them we decided not to stay and leave. We blame the management. It seems they have different revenue beside restaurant buisness that make them such careless. We believe loca government should take a deeper look into their business for revenue, harassment, intimidation, discrimination against customers.

Reviewed By Alan_Stamm_0Delightful retreat on our pre-tent camp night in the Erg Chebbi desert, highlighted by a romantic poolside dinner (delicious Moroccan fare; no wine available). Large free-form pool is ringed by abundant date palms, with picking invited. (A bowl of dates was laid out.) We had a smallish, comfortable room. Larger suites and free-standing cottages (bungalows) are available in the lushly landscaped, walled compound outside of Erfoud. Pleasant, dusty rural surroundings for brief walk. Fossils/minerals shop nearby. Friendly, accommodating, multi-lingual staff, though unable to break a 100-dirham note for tipping denomination, regrettably. Lodge-atmosphere reception area next to dining room, with outside seating available.
