A very expensive family lunch (4 adults 1 kid) (275 euros) for bland, poorly cooked, poorly presented dishes. Under-cooked lentils, hard and overcooked monkfish medallion. With the exception of the German waitress, the staff are stilted, not very smiling.

Set in a 15th-century castle, this guest house features a 3-hectare park with an original moat. You can relax on the terrace and read from the library or visit historic Laval town centre, a 5-minute drive from the property. Breakfast is prepared every morning and served in the manor's lounges. The hosts can also prepare traditional, healthy cuisine upon request (vegetarian/vegan/gluten free/organic menu : upon request only)
We were on a cycling holiday up the Mayenne. Mein host was very helpful and good fun. We were 4 and had a choice of bedrooms. The bedrooms are enormous and full of quirky bits such as the bathroom being over the roof beams. Food was excellent and we enjoyed our time there very much.

Located only two hours from Paris (via the autoroute de l’ouest or the TGV), the Chateau des Lutz combines old world charm with modern comfort. The proprietors, Severine and Louis du Tertre, have created a perfect atmosphere and charm in their 1850 Chateau, where a warm welcome awaits you.The Chateau is situated in the heart of an exceptionally preserved country landscape, being an ideal base to relax or explore the riches of the region.
This is hard to describe!! Such an amazing old chateau and our host Louis was charming. We had drinks in the garden with him and the the other two guests and he cooked us a fantastic meal. We all sat down together and despite our limited French had an awesome evening. Very hard place to find so make sure you get the email instructions. But once there ... what a location! Such an authentic chateau (a little crumbling but in the most charming way).

I have stayed in hotels and B and Bs all over the world and this exquisite place stands out and is not to be forgotten. It is part of the original complex of a large 19th C town villa, very sensitively converted. The friend and I who were travelling together had dinner which not only was an interesting and enjoyable occasion (we were at the table with four very friendly French people - we are Irish) but the food was absolutely outstanding. The accommodation is very high spec., and there is an extremely high standard of cleanliness throuout. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and will certainly return - it is a beautifully run place of very high standards. There is a very fine pool open to residents

I enjoyed staying here. The decor is amazing. It's secluded so no shops or rstaurants within walking distance. Good price to stay in such large rooms and have a pool. There is a machine to dispence beer and water.

Barbara and Keith are innkeepers who go above and beyond the call of duty. Les Freuberts is a beautiful B&B in a picture-book setting of trees, flowers, and lawns. The Inn is reminiscent of an old country Inn and has ample room to play, read. rest, indulge, chat with family or friends, The themed rooms and the Gite are decorated with articles from their many travels across the globe. The accommodations, are beautiful, immaculate, and like the innkeepers themselves, are full of personality and charm. Their knowledge of local restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and notable historical sites is extensive. Whether you are a weary traveler or joining family and friends in the area, this is the perfect landing spot. They are friends you haven't met yet. Enjoy.

Quaint little place that is a bar, baker, restaurant, hotel and a tabac. Serve a gorgeous pint of Leffe which was great after a three hour bike ride around the area. Croissants from there in the mornings were warm and welcome and very filling. If in the area it's well worth a visit

We just spent a week with my family in a part of the castle. It was my second visit but the first time renting an aisle of the castle. It felt like home. The place is very big, well decorated and with all the necessary equipment. I really enjoyed the park, it's very green and quiet. The big plus are the pool and the tennis course.
