We were fairly lucky to find this place ( last week of February is a holiday one in this part of France). We didn't expect luxury at the very cheap price we were offered, but we surely didn't expect the manager to be awaiting us as we arrived, showing us the car parking space, our room, asking us whether we needed help in booking a meal...The buffet breakfast was excellent value for money, and again charming service, help and information. The room itself was pretty basic, but just for the one night: and in the end, there was everything one needed. Three minor points of this room which just happened to be the one for disabled guests. The front door was not easy to close and lock from the outside, the wifi was hopeless (great in the breakfast room) and bathroom was much too big for the single radiator.

Chambres d'hôtes avec vue sur mer, ou vue sur campagne
BRILLIANT stay at Bellevue! The atmosphere created by Martine and German is so calm and welcoming and fun and it is obvious they take pride in having created and working to build this wonderful place. The food was extremely tasty and the sunlight streams into the dining room with beautiful views. Very highly recommend to all travellers !! Thanks so much.

Bernard and Ignatius are amazing hosts. Kind and generous with their time and their knowledge of the chateau and the area. Thanks to Bernard we were able to experience a gorgeous sunset cliff walk with view across the bay to Mont St-Michel. Something only a local would know about. The chateau is beautifully renovated with taste, style, and an eye toward historical accuracy. Unlike some historic homes-turned-B&Bs, the mixture of historical accuracy and modern comforts is spot on. Our room was comfortable while being stunning to experience. Our bathroom was a perfect mix of old (the gilt mirrors, the clothes closet, the windows, etc..) and new (the shower was to die for!). Breakfast was an experience in itself. Croissants, bagels, fresh fruit to complement the amazing honey and apple juice produced right there on the chateau grounds. The dining room is gorgeous!

Perfect place for some relaxing days. The house is very well decorated and clean. Erik, the owner of the Manoir, is very helpful (English speaking) to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Only complaint to our selves is that we stayed 2 days only... Michel de Bruyn

Clos Saint-Gilles offers three guest rooms charming, comfortable and spacious in the middle of one hectare garden created by owners .The breakfast is homemade, the quiet of the place will charm you as much as the elegant decor of the rooms.
My husband and I, along with our 5 children (ages 8-15) just returned from our trip to France. We were thrilled with our stay at Le Clos Saint Gilles, which is just minutes from Mont Saint Michel. We stayed in the newly renovated section of the home called 2 gîtes. It was perfectly situated for our family of 7 and even had its own living space, kitchen and 3 bathrooms. All the amenities were new and decor was modern. We were greeted by Tatiana who immediately upon our arrival helped us to make dinner reservations and showed us around the home. She served a lovely breakfast the following morning made fresh from her kitchen using things from her garden or locally sourced. It was our favorite breakfast while in France. Even before we arrived, Tatiana was so helpful by giving tour guid and restaurant suggestions. Tatiana has a lovely daughter who played with our children in the beautiful gardens of the home. The language barrier seemed not to matter and we were thankful for the time our girls had to play outdoors. We could not recommend this home enough.

Lovely place with a nice garden. The breakfast was phenomenal and the rooms very nice. There is a free shuttle (which you have to drive a little distance to get to) to take you to Mont St. Michel. The hostess was wonderful, she spoke very good English but also was willing to help me practice my French. We had a terrible experience with our rental care and she went out of her way to help us fix the situation....without her help I don't know what would have happened.

We stayed at Hotel Victor Hugo on our way back to Paris for two nights . This place is a gem in the French country side. The owner is helpful and attentive. The rooms are fantastic. We booked the best room which had an amazing bath and bed. The breakfast was great and plentiful. The lack of a fridge in the room was made up by being able to put items in the bar fridge down stairs. There is a very small lift which is great for sending your bags up to your floor. Highly recommend the La Dolce Vita a few doors down and the restaurant at the back. Had two great meals.

When we turned up at night we never imagined what an amazing view we would have in the morning. Truly stunning and one of the best we have ever seen. The electrically operated roller blinds gave us total privacy and the fantastic house was an example of beautiful France accommodation at its total best. I was worried that we had miss calculated the price and was going to pay double for what we had booked at but the price was correct and we had amazing value. The breakfast was worth every penny and covered a large array of food so we felt completely full when we left. The private walkway to the beach made us feel like millionaires :)

We happened upon this delightful place in Normandy. The restaurant is associated with a small and charming-looking hotel right near a train station. We were seated in a sun room area, and were charmed by the staff and the selections on the menu. Lunch was wonderful and we recommend it highly.
