The Olde Bell at Hurley is an old Coaching Inn with five different areas of bedrooms which are spread across the property. There is an old Victorian Malthouse which has thirteen bedrooms attached to it and five ground floor rooms for meetings, Events and Weddings. There is also a Tithe Barn which can be used for Weddings up to 120 people or larger meetings. There is private parking for 100 cars, a restaurant and bar and an outdoor summer kitchen at weekends set in our private garden. This area is ideal for children as it is set behind the main building off road and secure. We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week and are open all day Saturday and Sunday.
The place looks amazing. And for clarity, to battle the comment below, I also had a ‘road’ facing room. And the country Lane was a delightful sight with next to no traffic all day and night. I also had a wedding party. And didn’t hear a thing nor struggle to get fed. The staff were very close knit and all super helpful. The young man on the desk was a real delight. Well mannered. Pro active and clearly wanting to please. The negatives, the heating was on full blast. It was roasting everywhere. But each to their own I suppose. Windows opened fully so battled through. I ate in the bar area on night one. Wasn’t great. Wasn’t bad. But didn’t match the surroundings. Didn’t choose to eat on night 2. Overall a very charming place with amazing land and views all around you.

The Bird In Hand is a traditional pub, restaurant and hotel, located in Knowl Hill, between Reading and Maidenhead, and dating back to the 14th-century. A former hunting lodge of King George III, inside you’ll find gorgeous interiors and rustic pub charm, complete with original oak beams, wood panelling, and a large, crackling open fire. Whether you’re travelling for business or visiting nearby attractions such as Legoland, Windsor Castle or the Royal Windsor Racecourse, we’re the ideal place to stay, with 21 comfortable and stylish ensuite rooms, with dog-friendly and family-friendly rooms available. We offer delicious seasonal menus, including our famous 28-day dry-aged steaks cooked in the Josper charcoal oven, which you can enjoy in our cosy restaurant space or large courtyard beer garden in the warmer months. Behind the bar, you’ll find an extensive range of real ale, craft beer, lager and cider from our award-winning Butcombe brewery, and a cocktail menu featuring all the classics. If you’re planning an event, our beautiful private hire space is available for weddings, parties, meetings and other private functions for up to 100 guests.
I was impressed by the tasteful furnishings of the Bird in Hand, and there were thoughtful touches in our room. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We just ate breakfast there, but it was one of the best breakfast menus I have seen. It was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. I had the scrambled eggs and chalk stream trout on sourdough. They must have an excellent chef.

The River Arts Club B&B is at Oldfield, a Victorian riverside mansion nestled on the banks of the river Thames, with landscaped gardens sweeping down to its private river frontage and moorings. Accommodation varies from large suites with open wood fireplaces to a single occupancy room all in keeping with the fabric of the building. All our rooms are equipped to the highest standards.
We were made to feel instantly at home in this quirky, glamorous grade 1 listed Victorian mansion, filled with art. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, and the location - right on the banks of the Thames - is simply stunning. The peaceful garden goes down to the river, where you can sit out (weather permitting - we were very lucky!) with a wonderful view of passing boats, canoes and waterbirds. Great riverside walks in both directions. Our rooms were stylishly decorated, comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was fresh, delicious and plentiful. This was a quick break for my sister and me, as we live in different countries and hadn't seen each other since before Covid. Our stay here was a magical couple of days that we will remember always.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 children. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. It was very handy to have a fridge, kettle and microwave in the room too. The owner and manager were very welcoming. There is a large shared kitchen. The one little thing I will mention is the lack of a blind/curtain on the bathroom window. I did feel a bit illuminated showering with the light on in the evening ? BUT I wouldn't hesitate to come back, we had a lovely time. The perfect place for families ?

NICE TO MEET YOU The incredible team that has won awards for their work with The Sussex Arms in Twickenham, The Cornerhouse in Windsor and The Express Tavern in Kew is now behind the Lord Grenfell in Maidenhead. We have worked hard to develop a refined but contemporary character, building on our wealth of British pub culture and dining experience. We focus on providing quality food and drink at great prices in a relaxed and comfortable setting with great service, and we cannot wait to introduce ourselves
We travelled south for the pub in the park festival on Saturday from Liverpool which was FA cup final day Liverpool v Chelsea and came into the Grenfell to watch the match, we couldn’t of been made to feel more welcome by the staff and locals which many were Chelsea fans, they continued their friendliness and kindness through the evening even when Liverpool won, we ate there and the food was delicious and the main barman Ben was such a lovely guy, we can’t recommend this place highly enough and would certainly revisit if down that way again

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weekends ago - the setting is lovely, we had a great view of country fields from our window, and the room was clean and spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom was modern and cosy (heated towel rail!). We arrived late and the staff were really lovely, calling ahead to see if everything was ok and kindly facilitating late check in, taking the time to show us around what we needed to know. I then foolishly left an item behind and the staff have very kindly gone out of their way to promptly post it back to me, many many thanks for all your assistance!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel overwhelmingly uncomfortable and due to replacement buses and delayed trains we were ever so slightly later than the time we stated we would arrive. We notified the property with a courtesy text and call (unanswered) No message back just a refusal of entry once we arrived.I certainly didn’t appreciate being shouted and screeched at in the middle of the street was completely unnecessary and was so upset I couldn’t even speak back to the lady.I don’t think she was capable of holding a civilised conversation .We we’re then left in a completely alien to us town with no way of knowing where we were, with no battery and pregnant. We had to rely on the kindness of strangers so we weren’t left on the street. No refund given either.Absolutely disgusted and appalled with the way we were treated.I found the whole experience very traumatic.DO NOT STAY HERE!!
