Excellent Value for Money, Friendly Staff, Will Stay Again
Reviewed By CtotheGWe stayed at the Picturebook for one night during a road trip around Northern Thailand. I travel frequently to Mae Sot for work and colleagues had recommended this guest house. Staff (who are in a hospitality training program) are friendly and helpful, the rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, great AC, fridge, and reliable WiFi. I’ve previously stayed at the Centara, and the staff here and experience far exceeded what I’ve had there! There was a bustling night market 200m from the hotel, and you’re a short distance to the Robinson/mall if you need to stock up before your next stop. Will be glad to stay here again in the future.

Reviewed By htoo913We stayed only one night in there. Owner is incredibly nice ❤️and put complimentary foods and drinks. Rooms are very clean and enough space to stay. Good compound living room. Prices are too cheap to stay and near many restaurants. You can also rent bicycle for free.

The parking at the back wasn't immediately obvious but the owner kindly showed us where to go. Breakfast choices were all excellent - we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we had between us and actually shared some our food so we all got to try some. The hotel is very convenient for local restaurants and all the main places in Mae Sot The shower area is a little strange and the connections between this part of the rooms although much higher than head height were slightly disconcerting. I guess this is to help with ventilation. The owners should consider offering evening meals if they can replicate the quality of the breakfasts

Reviewed By alkapa2018Zentrum ist nicht weit und das Haus sehr sauber. Auch die Grenze zu Myanmar kann man leicht erreichen. Parkplätze gratis und genügend vorhanden. Personal kümmert sich rührend um die Gäste, Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet und auch Preis/Leistung ist äusserst günstig. Auf Wunsch auch Wäsche Service.

Reviewed By GaryMucThis quite new resort is only accesible by own transportation. It's near one of the main roads leading to the city and the border. Staff is very friendly and rooms are really spacey. Breakfast is served in a little room by the reception, parking is in front of the motel-style located rooms.

Good-value Inn with smiling staff and pleasant surrounding
Reviewed By IBProfessorWe had Room 105 and 106 near the front office, with easy access in unloading baggage directly from car into room. The rooms are large and clean. Beware however that in some rooms air-conds cannot be adjusted in temperature. The staff are friendly though some do no speak English well. Breakfast is adequate while I suggested to the manager to add a salad/veggies. This motel is in an alley about 300-meters from the main city road but there's a free motor tricycle taking you places as requested. Overall, it's a great value budget motel with a nice yard.

Boek niet! Zwembad en restaurant zijn dicht!

Het is vies en de eigenaar is bot en probeert op geen enkele manier om tot een oplossing te komen. Het is afgelegen van alles. We hebben dit hotel voor 2 nachten geboekt vanwege het zwembad. Bij aankomst was het zwembad vies en half leeg. Bij navraag bleek er geen personeel te zijn om het zwembad schoon te maken. Uit niets bleek tijdens de boeking dat het zwembad niet gebruikt kan worden. Wel is dit hotel duurder dan vergelijkbaar zonder zwembad. We hebben de eigenaar gesproken en hij was ongelofelijk bot. Hij weigerde het zwembad schoon te maken en te vullen, ook weigerde hij toegangsticket te regelen en te betalen bij een ander zwembad en hij weigerde ons korting te geven. Als commentaar had hij... ga maar weg. Verder ligt dit hotel afgelegen en was het restaurant dicht. ( bleek ook niet uit de boeking) het zitje voor de deur was smerig met peuken en de stoelen kapot. We zaten tussen de water boilers. De buurvrouw staat voor je kamer de vis schoon te maken en te drogen en dat stinkt. De afvoer van de douche werkt niet dus na het douchen stond alles blank. De dame van de receptie was overal verantwoordelijk voor. Boze gasten te woord staan, ontbijt maken, kamers schoonmaken en toewijzen etc. Ze werkte van vroeg tot laat echt hard. We hebben echt medelij met haar omdat ze en alles moest doen en de eigenaar nergens te bekennen was terwijl er veel gasten ontevreden waren. De dame bleef vriendelijk en hulpvaardig.

Reviewed By BauernbergerIch war vor fünf Jahren schon mal 1 Woche hier und habe mich auf das Wiedersehen gefreut. Es war alles perfekt wie damals. Die neuen Mitarbeiter arbeiten auch sehr professionell, besonders der Geschäftsführer. Alles ist sehr sauber und perfekt. Die fünf Holzhäuser sind geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank, Aircon, alles ist makellos. Die große Dusche mit WC ist schön gefliest und hat sogar einen Vorraum, den man auch als Abstellraum verwenden kann. Es gibt auch große Familienzimmer im Hauptgebäude. Gerne wieder!

Le point faible : le personnel le matin au petit déjeuner ! Vraiment épouvantable - incapable de faire un oeuf et/ou une omelette après avoir rechigné, pas de beurre, des cheveux dans le plat thaï de mon épouse... De rage j'ai changé d'hôtel... Je serais resté pour le confort de la chambre si à proximité j'avais eu la possibilité de m'offrir un petit déjeuner en supplément !
