We have stayed twice at this hotel in the last year and both times it was excellent!! Yes it’s a bit dated on furniture but the mattress is top notch and the room is spotless. There is no coffee in the room but a Keurig in the office makes fresh coffee. They have organic and decaf coffee pods, creamer, sugar and lidded cups. They also have a few items like soda and cup a noodle for sale. Ice machine on-site room 19. They do provide a packet of shampoo, soap…it’s in the washcloth flower in the bathroom. Good size fridge and microwave also. The room was quiet and comfortable! The owners are friendly and extremely helpful.

This is a great place to stay! I enjoyed the quiet and laid back atmosphere. It was clean and well kept. My room, the Royal Safari, was very nice with an awesome steam shower! My friends stayed in two other rooms and they were very nice as well.

This has to be done worst dump I have ever seen ! It was the only motel in the town, so we had to stay. See the pictures below as they definitely tell the story! The guy that checked us in was also in charge of cleaning the rooms. All he did was change the sheets , no cleaning, no vacuuming!! I told him he had not clean the bathroom, His reply was ‘oh S - - -‘ . I actually had some bath cleaner in the car from a shopping trip and I scrubbed the sink counter and toilet. The bathtub was beyond saving. Needless to say, we took sponge baths at the sink ! The young man’s language was beyond filthy. He dropped the F bomb constantly. He thought he would tell us a funny joke and the filth that came out of his mouth was unreal. I am not a prude but his behavior was uncalled for. Believe me, if we had another option for spending the night, we would’ve not stayed. This place needs to be avoided like the plague!

Being coming here for the last 3/4 years and always find the place very comforting after 2.5 years of drive from Kansas City. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean, linen feels good. The breakfast is simple but filling. Walmart, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Subway is literally 2/3 minutes walking distance. The Pony Museum is 10 minutes drive. Very recommendable if you want couple of nights for your business travel

Enjoy the charm of a true "Roadside Motel" and modern day amenities. Sunflower Motel is an independent, locally owned, classic motel located in Hiawatha on 1st Street, also US-159. It is located only 1 mile north of Hwy 36, and close to Interstate Highways 29 and 70. The motel is easy access to to area casinos, fishing spots, and some of the best hunting around. Inside Hiawatha, it is close to downtown, and very close to locally-owned eateries. The motel is completely refurbished ,with amenities to meet comforts of the New Millennium. The rooms are remodeled, each features a unique theme decor. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and will work with you to make a pleasant stay.
I frequently travel for work and prefer motels bc of the quick access to my vehicle. The decor and bedspread in my room were probably the best I've seen at a motel, period. The room felt very homey. It had newer a/c, television, microwave and fridge/freezer. An ice maker was just a few doors away. Let me get to the main reason I am writing this: when I arrived, I was on a job and thus pre-payed for the entire weekend. Before the day was even over, I regrettably got cut loose from the job and was free to make my way back home. Being 4th of July weekend and several hours away from Illinois, I decided I'd ask for a refund on the remaining nights I had payed for. The owner was nice enough to honor my request and refund the other nights I did not need to stay. He and his wife were friendly, polite people. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Anderson Bed and Breakfast is located 2 blocks south of K-State and 3 blocks west of Aggieville and City Park. We have the best lodging reviews in Manhattan, Kansas due to our warm welcome, charming porches, chickens in the backyard (yes, fresh eggs for breakfast) and a lovely garden that is a bird watcher’s paradise. In the fall, sitting on the front porch overlooking the tree-lined, brick street in an old university neighborhood, you may enjoy listening to the KSU marching band practice and watching students walk to class or Aggieville. Our music room has great acoustics and a well-tuned grand piano. We pamper our guests with plush bedding and bath robes, en suite bathrooms, walk-in closets, vaulted ceilings, high-speed wi-fi, and HD flat screen TVs with cable. Breakfast is generous and delicious. Cook Phil specializes in quiche Lorraine, Dutch pancakes, firehouse frittata and the homemade blueberry muffins that won his wife, Dawn’s, heart and stomach 22 years ago. We tend to cater to a university clientele: K-State alumni, prospective students, parents, visiting faculty, guest speakers/artists and faculty candidates, but we are also military-friendly and LGBT-friendly. Guests interested in architecture will appreciate our 1910 Arts and Crafts-Style limestone house which was fully renovated into a modern bed & breakfast with three guest rooms in 2013. Your hosts, Dawn and Phil Anderson, are ready to welcome you to Manhattan!
My sister and I were driving across country and she wanted to stay in Manhattan. We found Anderson B&B and had an amazing one night stay. Room was large and very comfortable. We walked into town for dinner. Breakfast was amazing and it was great to sit and visit with Phil and Dawn. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

After being disabled for 10 hours in Lebo due to poor planning on my behalf I wanted somewhere to pass the time. This place was half what I paid at Laquinta the previous night and twice as clean compared to Laquinta. I would recommend this place.

Get a great night's sleep when you stay at avid hotel Hays, an IHG Hotel. Our hotel offers the perfect balance between quality and price. Book online for our Best Price Guarantee.
We walked into our room and liked the streamlined minimalistic setup. However, there was an unused condom next to the ironing board and very obvious to anyone entering. My wife doubted anyone had cleaned the room so I went to the front desk to request getting another room. The person I spoke confirmed the room was logged as being cleaned and had no comment on the condom issue, just stared at me and seemed dumbfounded that we'd want another room. But she found one, same price, much smaller, pillow out on bed which made us question the cleaning again, torn sweep on door and cuts down to the cushion pads on the one chair, but we were tired and up in Hays for a loss in the family so decided to stay. Hotel is only 10 months old so getting worn quickly. The upside was the breakfast was good and the price very reasonable. I'm only posting this on TA since I would like IHG to at least acknowledge my complaint which I made to alert them to an issue so they can improve. Instead nothing at the hotel and nothing via their website.
