This bed and breakfast is a 5-minute walk from the port and has panoramic views of Mont-Saint-Michel Bay. It offers a garden, indoor and heated pool, terrace and free parking. Free Wi-Fi is available. Rooms at Metairie du Vauhariot are individually decorated and equiped with a TV and private bathroom. Some rooms have a chimney and all feature views of the sea.Guests are invited to explore Metairie du Vauhariot’s garden and relax on the terrace overlooking the bay.
We booked a night at the métairie the night before our ferry crossing from St Malo and were stunned to find out that breakfast could not be served until 9am , which was precisely the time when we were to be at the ferry terminal. No alternative arrangement was proposed - such as a cup of coffee, not instant as in the room, and some toast or croissant for say 8:15 - as « the baker does not deliver until shortly before 9. ». This was a shock and disappointment as the website just advises breakfast available… The site is indeed very pretty and the garden and sea views lovely, and the bedroom comfortable. Hot water takes a little while to reach the shower tap in the room under the eaves, and the toiletries are on the minimalist side. The Côté Mer restaurant is a short walk away (albeit on the road) which is a plus.

You will be seduced by this beautiful mansion from 1885, located 5 minutes walk from all the sites Rennes most popular, Thabor Park, Parliament of Brittany, Opera, Convent of the Jacobins ... You will be pampered by a personalized and joyful welcome in an elegant and relaxed setting combining well-being (large bed, coffee maker nespresso, welcome tray, gourmet breakfast free private parking) and modernity (WIFI access, printer, electronic press. .) You will recharge your batteries by taking advantage of the verdant garden with old trees and the beautiful days while having your breakfast under the centenary wisteria. A haven of peace in the heart of the city.
B&B owner Marie has created a wonderful little world at Castel Jolly that she enjoys sharing with all her guests. With assets from the stunning ancient wisteria that graces the backyard to the eggs that just popped out of her very fancy city chickens, this is a place to to feel both enlightened and pampered. Marie, who is lively and much better at English then I am at French, welcomed us from our car into the backyard with a pitcher of water and mint syrup, introducing us to the chickens and urging us to relax. The old stone house is elegant and stylish in every way, with something in every room to take special note of. I wanted to move in! Our room was spacious and lovely with a giant bathroom stocked with everything you'd need -- including my new favorite pharmacy find, Nuvex Rose Water, a makeup remover that apparently is a French woman's staple. Robes were provided as well, a touch I appreciate. The comforter was light was as air and we slept well. Breakfast, which is an additional charge, was elaborate and believe me, you'll want this. It took place in the lovely dining room. The location is fabulous, with the town center only a 10-20 minute walk from the house. We had asked Marie to make us a dinner reservation for the night we arrived, and she chose a wonderful restaurant called La Closerie, which we loved. She also advised us well the next night when we were thinking "creperie." We were lucky to be there on a Saturday, which is market day, and Rennes supposedly has the second largest market in France. It was spectacular. We had oysters shucked on the spot. Marie drew us maps to find everything. We thank Marie for making our visit to her beautiful city so memorable!

Nice good size room with comfortable bed, 20 min walk from the city center. It had good soundproof from outside noises but inside the hotel the walls and floors were very thin so you could hear people walking and talking from adjacent rooms and from upstairs. Also every time someone flushed the toilet you could hear it like a waterfall. The staffs was friendly but they didn't speak english at all. It was overpiced for what it offers.

This handsome manoir in big peaceful walled gardens has been lovingly restored by Claude, who speaks six languages, and equally well-travelled Agnes; both are charming and gregarious. Theirs is a fascinating house dating from 1510, with French windows opening to a south-facing terrace and a salon lined with rich oak panelling; relax by the blazing fire. Bedrooms, comfortable, traditional and up two sets of stairs, are dominated by dark ships' timbers; the port of St Malo is close, so are golden sand beaches. Breakfast is served beneath the chandelier. Marvellous.
The hosts are wonderfully simple people who welcome their guests with warmth and care. Location itself is romantic, beautiful and has an authentic charm. House is equiped with a beautiful lounge and a enormous garden that guests are encouraged to use as their own. Garden is perfect if you have children. Our daughter loved running around the garden with the chickens and petting the family dog. Overall, the experiance was so much more than we hoped for.

This hotel is located in the seaside resort of Saint-Malo, 50 m from the beach. Free Wi-Fi access and a TV are provided in the non-smoking guest rooms. Each guest room has a contemporary décor and the en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower. A breakfast buffet is served every morning in the restaurant. Guests can enjoy a drink in the bar at La Rotonde. Free public parking is possible nearby and the hotel is just 2 km from Saint-Malo Train Station. Dinard-Pleurtuit Airport is 8 km from the hotel and the famous Mont St-Michel is a 50-minute drive away. This is our guests' favourite part of Saint Malo, according to independent reviews.
A ride on buses 4 or 6 gets you here from town (Intra Mures or the station) La Rotonde is in the Rotheneuf suburb with good access to the beach. Not knowing of the bus routes on arrival at the ferryport at 9am, I walked along the beach front for an hour to be disappointed check-in to room was permitted only after 3pm. Returning later I found I had a quiet room with good-sized bathroom but it only got warm if you turned the heater up to full. Service in the restaurant opening at 7pm was prompt, and the hosts were obliging in taking my order beforehand. As well as the food the Leffe beer was good although at €9 was more expensive than in town. There was no lounge area to relax away from room or restaurant

A comfortable bed, and a magnificent dinner were all we required and we got it. A narrow access to the bathroom could cause an issue for some guests but we were fine. The dinner was excellent and so was the wine. The breakfast was also wonderful which fulfilled all our requirements

This is a totally basic hotel that doesn't pretend otherwise, but it's very well managed by friendly staff. Rooms are rudimentary - essentially like a standard ferry cabin - but the showers are good and the beds are very comfortable. Above all, it's spotlessly clean. Bedside lighting is somewhat brutal and the hotel is close to a main road, so don't expect ambience but you should sleep fine. Breakfast (an additional €7.50) was reasonable value. Fresh croissants etc and homemade jams. Perfectly adequate.

The 4 Bed and Breakfast "Barbinais" at Saint Malo-French, occupying an 18th century manor house in a large garden. The beaches are at 4 km, the Mont Saint Michel at 40 km, near the Villages of Cancale, Dinard and Dinan
The staff is very welcoming, always smiling! Very clean room with spacious beds. Homemade breakfast with French croissants, fresh bread, nice juices and some hot drinks. Very happy about this trip in Brittany!

We appreciated being able to stay in something quite different and well preserved, enabling us to soak up the atmosphere and even enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the garden. Stephanie is genuine, bubbly and an excellent host. The quality and variety of the "home-made" produce is exceptional. This B&B offers excellent value for money and we would definitely return. My only disappointment was the small size of the chicken served. But...….I didn't leave the table hungry!!
