The Bowes Room was refurbished to a very high standard. Beautiful curtains and furniture. The bathroom felt spanking new and very clean. We had dinner there and it was refreshing to see Thai meals instead of the usual roast dinner. - all very tasty too. Cooked breakfast was very generous and I usually avoid sausages as the cheap ones disappoint but these were full and meaty - I was very full after too!!

En-Suite 4* B&B. Great for exploring Hadrians Wall, visiting Northumberlands Castles, fishing the South Tyne and walking the coast to coast.
Beautiful, welcoming, clean with an abundance of thought into making your stay comfortable. It is clear the owners have a passion for their business as it’s the little details of homely touches in addition to the professionalism of the layouts, staff and the information given, not only throughout the property, but within your room, which most certainly makes me looking for dates to return. I frequent B&Bs and hotels often and it is very rare when I am surprised by the facilities, hospitality and professionalism given by such places. 5*

Great location as it is a stop on the AD122 Hadrian’s Wall bus. Knowledgeable and friendly host who directed us to what we think is the prettiest part of Hadrian’s Wall to hike. Comfortable room and delicious English breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Looking for somewhere near to Keilder observatory to stay overnight. Booked us in on a Wednesday night by mistake as they usually close on a Wednesday. Not a problem. The owners kindly opened the kitchen to cook us dinner after we’d visited the observatory. Fabulous food. Both tried the Boe burger as recommended by other reviews. Didn’t disappoint. Lovely cooked breakfast next morning. Would definitely book to stay again. Nice room and nothing too much trouble.

Kevin and Leah’s beautiful home is arguably one of the best I have ever stayed in! Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms which were absolutely immaculate. I don’t feel the need to go into any specific great detail because If anyone can honestly find a fault well, this is someone who is fussy or who has a sad hobby in pedantic fault-finding. Even the views are amazing! You can’t buy that down south!? (biased Geordie). I would highly recommend Carraw to groups of all ages especially families. I would love to bring my family next year. My nieces and nephews would love it! Judging from the attention to every detail you have put it in to your stunning home, you have truly worked really hard and should be very proud of your efforts and also your high quality standards with the five star service and facilities you provide. Carraw is an enchantment within its own right. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. Your bonny retreat captivated my friends and I. It truly made 2021 a much brighter year for us all. The much needed catch up we eagerly wanted after all the unfortunate recent events we have all experienced over the last year and your fabulous home was the remedy and tonic we all needed to go with our gins! Thank you again. Take care and seasons greetings over the festive period. Kind regards, Ollie, Amy, Alex, Claire & Analisa.
