This stunning Country Inn overlooking the village green offers quality accommodation, good food, cask ale, restaurant, bar snacks and beer garden. The Auld Cross Keys Inn was built in the 1800's as a bakehouse but later became a Coaching Inn. Stayed in the village for a break and visited this pub twice. Very friendly landlord and staff with great reasonable prices on drinks and food. Our meal was great, home cooked pub food. Sirloin steak was perfect! Thank you for your hospitality on the borders.

My main statement is that I d stay here again if in the area . The removal of one star is that it s a big climb up many stairs as this used to be the bank managers house - living above the bank ( now a restaurant) Donna the host was lovely. Very helpful. Good quality and well cooked breakfast. The website does intimate bathrobes, which weren’t in my room, but I m sure one would have appeared should I have needed to ask for one ! It does have a designated car park round the back, but one does have to hunt for it !

We stayed for 2 nights in May at the Elm House Hotel. We could not fault the hotel at all Catherine was friendly, chatty nothing was any trouble my dad is gluten free she made sure he was catered for. The rooms were clean, well equipped, spacious, lovely comfy beds. Breakfast was lovely with some nice Scottish touches except of course no yorkshire tea !! Which we joked about !! Would def recommend if you want a trip to the Scottish Borders

We parked our motor home for a 1 night stay over in the Horse and Hound car parking area with electric hookup if required. The service, food and drink were excellent. The owners could not have been more helpful. We arrived a litter later than expected and they moved our dinner reservation until we were settled in. Meal was delicious. They very kindly let us have breakfast in the restaurant on this occasion, usually only for residents. This was also excellent. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. Showed us where we could walk along the river with our dog, and suggested some good tips for our onward route to Edinburgh. Everything was excellent - couldn’t fault it at all.

The Coppice is a large individually designed home, built by the present owner to exacting standards and set in its own wooded grounds. It has delightful views of the surrounding Border countryside. It is ideal for large family gatherings and has a warm homely feel. A great retreat from the modern world but within easy access of local facilities.
We’ve just returned from 3 nights at the Shepherd’s Hut at the Coppice B&B. Very well equipped self-catering accommodation for 2. Really nice fixtures. Nice shower room and kitchen has a 4-ring hob and oven and ample crockery etc. We actually did self-cater 2 nights despite there being 1000 nice places to eat out within an easy drive. It’s just a lovely, quiet private spot to sit. Dog friendly too. No Wi-fi nor TV but all the better for it. Vodafone 4g accessible but you don’t need it. Extremely relaxing break: thanks guys. See you again soon! Ps sorry about the cup we broke.

The North Bridge Street Bed & Breakfast is situated in Hawick, the true heart of the Scottish Borders. We are only a few minutes walk away from the town centre. We offer a warm, friendly service with a choice of single twin, family or double rooms. All rooms are newly refurbished, having en-suite facilities with plasma screens and WiFi connections. Attention to detail is shown in our superb breakfast menu.
No cooked breakfast. Not even cereal. (You are given a brown bag the night before of a roll, yogurt, apple and muffin.) (Other b&bs have been serving cooked breakfasts during the pandemic. ) No proper chair in room. No bike store. But it is cheap. The caretaker manager was friendly.

Situated in the center of hawick beside the river teviot. All rooms en suite some have balcony looking over the river 50 meter from free car park from where you can access the award winning wilton park. Free wi-fi outside decking and licenced cafe bar-bistro where breakfast is served.
The two rooms at ground level have nice little balconies over the river. They are comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast is great value at £5.00 pp. A regular stopover for us on the way to the Highlands. Good value for the rate charged.
