Trolltunga Hotel is situated in the heart of the Town of Outdoorlife, Odda in Hardanger. Our focus is on sustainability, to express the unique history of the area, to create a relaxing atmosphere and to use local producers both furnishings, food and drinks. The beautiful villa building from 1928 was renovated in 2017, with a newly built wing from 2016. In 2021, even more rooms were in at a brand new floor at the added wing, as well as a spectacular restaurant made of glass in front of the hotel. The interior is a combination of Nordic, modern and retro, but since we are so privileged regarding surroundings – mountains, waterfalls and glacier water - the view out to the beautiful nature is the main interior. While taking in the impression of the mighty Opo River right outside the windows our team strives to offer a place where everyone of our guests can recharge their batteries.
Excellent reception staff and restaurant waiter. Local dishes on menu, served with a smile. Hotel rooms are.... small. Hotel is from the 1920, so this is no 5 star plastic hotel, but you get an autenitic experience. Be sure to order local cider when here. World class.

My film production company works with many hotels in Norway and abroad. We always seek affordable comfort for our teams and require top notch service. Hardanger House delivered above and beyond our expectations. Our international team was highly pleased with Hardanger House’s professional, friendly staff; its delicious cuisine prepared by a talented young chef; the clean, comfortable rooms with exquisite views of the fjord, and the hotels’ facilities.

Beautiful landscape, unique place. Hosted in a old restored farm, I stayed in a cabin furnished with typical rural tools, dining on a stone table looking at the fjord and the glacier. I still have those things in my eyes. I found good people there, and good honey too! Reccomended

Jaunsen Gjestegjevarstad has centuries of experience as an overnight stop for travellers. Today's inn comprises three different adjoining buildings standing in a row beside the Hardanger tourist road. Tingstova (the courthouse, now the dining room) was built in 1674. Bondestova (the farm house, now the kitchen) was built in 1726. These two buildings were joined together in 1926. Jaunsen-Huset (the Jaunsen house, now lounges and a lounge with open fireplace) was built between 1759 and 1785. In 1994 the Jaunsen Huset and Tingstova were joined together and refurbished. The whole interior abounds with details in a mixture of the baroque, rococo and Louis Seize styles. Jaunsen believes in offering good food and a friendly and warm atmosphere for travellers, tourists and locals alike. A wonderfull place to go hiking. The hotel offers Electric bike for rent and has specialised in local food.
What a gem. The section of the house we stayed in was built in 1759- beautiful finishings, woodwork and charm. The room was very comfortable and very quiet. Their hospitality was the best. The chef prepared a vegan dish for my wife and I that was second to none. Other guests enjoyed their dishes as well. Breakfast was terrific and they, again, went out of their way to prepare a vegan dish for us. It is also a short walk to the fjord, an old village and beautiful scenery. If you travel in the area, this place is a must!

We ordered the caesar salad. Very tasty and a good full plate. Nice place to sit both inside and outside. Recommended. Will definitely be back soon to try the trout which was unfortunatly sold out. ??

A warm welcome to Eidfjord Guest House/Bed & Breakfast. At our carefully restored premises, we currently offer 5 double rooms and 6 two bedded camping huts. Enjoy a homely stay at this small, friendly Guest House offering good basic standard and affordable rates. You'll find us at the centre of ovre Eidfjord, along Route (Rv.) 7. Situated at the foot of Hardangervidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau, this is an ideal starting point for short strolls or long hikes in this spectacular and beautiful wilderness.
We stopped here while on a roadtrip, & had very good food. Not many choices on the menu, I think three, but we chose Kjøttkake, & it was very tasty, & a big portion. The place is old, & filled with history. You can also spend the night there, the rooms & cabins looked cozy.

The accommodation is an apartment on the second floor of the owners house with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and a couple of private bedrooms. The atmosphere is very cozy and homely and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. We only stayed here one night due to our busy schedule but we would gladly have stayed here more nights. The owners are very kind and friendly and the views from the windows are very beautiful, especially from the bedroom and living room which faces to the fjord.

Danke Alfred. Alles Gute
