On the banks of the lovely Elbe River, the German city of Dresden is lush and green, filled with forests and gardens and parks. The city is rich with cultural and artistic history; the great operatic composer Wilhelm Wagner debuted a number of works here in the 1800s and, today, an independent light opera company keeps the classical art form modern and fresh. Culture vultures will love the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister and Grünes Gewölbe museums, and architecture buffs will salivate over the mélange of styles reflected in the cityscape.

Our GuestHouse Mezcalero is located in the Dresden Neustadt in the center of Dresden. The historic center is easily reached on foot or by tram. There is a tram stop just 100 meters away. We offer rooms in different categories. Single and double rooms with shared shower or ensuite, apartments with kitchenette and TV as well as 4-6 bed rooms for families and smaller groups. Our delicious breakfast buffet can be booked on the spot. In our yard there is a limited number of parking spaces available and our summer garden invites you to relax. Just have a rest at our place and feel at least a little bit like being at home.
Excellent staff, nice, large spotless rooms, with a mexican theme. You do have to share the bathroom with one other room, but I never saw that as i real problem. Stayed there for three night, and will return next time I visit Dresden. For 7,5 Euro you can have a fine breakfast buffet, I did that one of the days.

We´d like to invite you for an unforgettable stay, in our comfortable, reconstructed and lovely refurbished Villa, with an eye for detail. The Villa is central in a quiet and calm side street and only a few meters away from the Elbe. Cause of our central Position, you reach the historic center of Dresden with all places of interests like the Frauenkirche, the Semperoper, the Zwinger and the picture gallery within a few minutes with the tram. Take a walk on the bicycle path on the Elbe with a great view to the historic center or a romantic bicycle tour in the Elbtal. You can enjoy the evening in the well-known Waldschloesschen-Brauerei, which is 2 minutes away from our Villa or in one of the 300 bars and Restaurants in the trendy district “Neustadt”, which is just about 10 minutes by foot.
The 3-night stay at this facility put a dent on our otherwise wonderful visit to Dresden. We chose this hotel based on great reviews and location (we were on a road trip and wanted to avoid a congested area), and confirmed their Standard Double room, the only type available at the time. We were surprised to learn that our room is a small and plain room with low ceiling and tiny windows that looked like and attic, quite different from the photos and descriptions from their listing. The room got so hot, we had to run air conditioning almost continuously, which is rather unusual in Germany. Furthermore they added 2% extra to the room charge because we did not pay in cash nor via EC Card.

The enchanting villa in neoclassicism style with numerous Art Nouveau elements is located in Dresden's elegant residential area Blasewitz and has direct access to the Waldpark - a 23 hectare large park with beautifully landscaped paths. Guests at the Villa Freisleben can experience a piece of Dresden city's history. The prestigious villa with park-like garden was built by the architect Hans Paulick on behalf of the Freisleben family in 1916. The second world war and Dresden's night of bombing was without prejudice to the villa . In the early nineties and under compliance of strict monument protection regulations, the building was sumptuously renovated by the owner and opened as Aparthotel Villa Freisleben in 1994. Numerous lovingly refurbished details in the interior and exterior of the villa, recall the fascinating architecture of the Art Nouveau. The stucco ceilings attract attention just as magically as the stained glass windows in the former music room. An Eye-catcher as well is the 90 -year-old wall fountain from original Meissner ceramics in the lobby, which originally had its place on the first floor. In the years 2010 to 2014, the villa has been restored in some areas by the present owner and upgraded technically and visually. You can find these unique pearl of architecture of the early 20th Century in most books on Dresden's villa architecture.
This hotel was recommended by the university and never disappoints. A beautiful spot, with comfortable rooms, very clean, helpful reception team, and delicious breakfasts. At reception, they are always happy to assist with recommendations and maps. I've stayed there over and over in the last 9 years and have never been disappointed.

Situated only 3, 5 km away from Dresden's old town but also at a rural neighbourhood, the "Hexenhaus" welcomes you with 10 individual rooms and a small restaurant at the historic village centre of Nieder-Gorbitz.Because of the poor conditions long time ago, and the remote location, the charm of the village has been remained until today. The "Hexenhaus" is listed as a historical monument and consists of two very rarely over 200 year old half-timbered day labourer houses which gives you the unique opportunity to experience the geneses of Dresden. Here you can find everything you need after an eventful day:Quiet, relaxation and good Saxon cuisine.Enjoy our hospitality-we are looking forward to your visit!
This is a very atmospheric place to stay. We were lucky in that we were in the Hexenhaus itself, although they have a number of other properties. If you are in one of these you still have to go to the main property for breakfast. Our rooms were excellent with a sitting room downstairs and the bedroom above. Clean and comfortable, on a note of caution, the shower base is very high from the floor, making for a large step down. The food, however, is superb and I would recommend dining in. A marvellous place and I hope to return one day.

The Hotel is located in east Dresden, in the district of Laubegast. Each guest can admire a marvelous panorama of the meadows near the Elbe River, the embanment of the opposite river bank with a television tower and the "blue miracle" - the bridge over the Elbe River. The 24 Hotel rooms are comfortable, furnished in a rural style and so they make the guests feel particulary well. All the rooms equipped with a bathroom with WC/shower, hairdryer, phone, WiFi, TV and a minibar. You can reach the Dresden city museum and the historic Old Town, as well as other museums and culturally interesting places within 15 minutes going by tram, without the need to search for parkingspace. Wanderers and nature lovers can visit the Saxon Switzerland after only 30 minutes drive. The world- renowned Bastion, fortress of Königstein and the national park Saxon Switzerland are just a few examples of the many places worth seeing or visiting, also on boat trips, while Biking or hiking.
We stayed there for one night. Traditional German-styled hotel. Our room was with a big balcony. Room was comfortable and clean. Big yard to sit outside. Friendly staff. Only good words to describe this place!

The hotel is fairly close to central Dresden and the Grosser Garten, but has lots of free car parking. Although the basic price was quite low, I was still disappointed. I'll be returning to another hotel that I've used on two previous visits to Dresden. 1. Breakfast was expensive. At €13.50 each, there should be hot food provided (not just scrambled eggs). 2. The wifi is terrible. It is slow, and times out repeatedly. My daughter (a UK student) was lucky - she had a login for the university network across the road! 3. The city tax of €9.20 per person per night is also a LOT. 4. It is not possible to walk between floors because the keys only work on your own floor. We had two rooms on different floors, and could only meet by using the elevator. What's the point? It clearly hasn't made the place more secure.

More of a bed and breakfast than a hotel (which is a nice thing!). Cute hotel and neighborhood that offers a very easy and quick tram to old town highlights. The breakfast at this place is AMAZING! Probably the best breakfast I have ever had in Europe, and it is organized such a way that other guests were taking pictures of the breakfast.

Is a big old villa located at 7 km from center of old town. There are hills and forest. We can see from window the suspension railway.High traffic on the street. You must be carefull when came with car because the street are on the slope . Five places for parking near villa and a big places 30 m downstreet but no light in the night and no surveillance, 4 euro per day. The room are large and clean, but old furniture. Interesting view around with old abandoned houses. The bathroom are nice and it has window. The breakfast is serve by owner and is ok. The program of reception is in the morning till 10,30 and in the afternoon after 15.00.

Good price, nice room, fine food. What's not to like? Well. We were a group of ten persons on our way to Denmark from Austria on motorcycles, mostly policemen. At arrival the receptionist, let us call him Basil, greeted us with a "Do you have a reservation?" - No welcome here - We confirmed. He denied this and when we pointed at his monitor on our names he switched the monitor off! - After a little while he found our reservation. Basil also did this for 3 others. Very rude. The wheather was nice and we placed us in a corner of the patio, where another company was celebrating something. Waiting to order a beer. Basil came and told we could not sit there. We had to go inside! I looked around and saw there was a small empty patio across the yard, which looked very little used. I asked if we could sit there. "No" was the answer from Basil. I asked why not and he answered that it was only for regular residents! We told other (nice) members of the staff, that we would like to order food. We could only order at Basil. It took 45 minutes after our request that Basil showed up. I recall the same level of service back in 1980 in East Germany, sadly something has not changed. An important part of a stay is the experience, which indeed was ruined by one person.
