Donegal Town is a fairytale of a place, featuring a charming harbor, serene beaches and stoic stone remains of centuries past, like those of 15th-century Donegal Abbey. Stern-looking Donegal Castle, recently restored to its one-time Gaelic glory, is the crown jewel of the area. If you’re looking for souvenirs, snag a hand-woven tweed or carpet, the signature goods of the area. For a good craic, the pubs of The Diamond area are a sure bet.

This hotel reminded me of the good ol' motel days. The room was perfectly adequate and clean. The shower had good power and the bed was comfy. The staff was awesome and they had the best breakfast of our whole 2 week trip. Town is less than a 5 min. walk. Stay here, you won't be sorry.

Clean and tidy guesthouse. Friendly and professional staff. Check-in was quick and efficient. The owner proposed to help us with dinner reservation, and gave us good recommendations. 15 min walking distance to Donegal city centre (3 min driving). Room is old fashioned but clean. Excellent breakfast buffet (just missed an expresso). Car park just in front with plenty of spaces.

10 Minute drive from Donegal Town, Harvey's Point Hotel and Solis Castle Hotel. Our spacious family-run home is on the Letterkenny & Ballybofey Road N15, left side. Credit Cards accepted. Breakfast Menu available with home baking and special diets catered for. Biddy's Famous Pub on our doorstep and a choice of excellent restaurants in nearby Donegal Town.
Immaculately clean home. Warm and friendly hostess. Nothing was too much trouble. Splendid breakfasts. Easy to find, great location for exploring the area. Loved it. As an amputee, I was delighted by the shower /wet room. This was (perhaps weirdly!) the cherry on the cake for me. Its the little things ?

The room was airy and spacious, the property quiet. It is right off the main highway but on a side road to a beach, so not noisy. A problem with the shower temp control was addressed right away. Very friendly folks, and an outside cat that appeared aloof but actually loved attention. Hot breakfast unlike some places. Mmm, the TV was tiny, rather incongrous in the spacious room. Just like 10 minutes into Donegal, where there is an actual Mexican restaurant among other things.

We stayed here for two nights as we were going to a wedding at Harvey’s Point. The rooms are very big and very comfortable. Breda was an excellent host and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. We arrived late in the evening and this wasn’t a problem for Breda and see arranged a taxi into Donegal town for us. The breakfasts in the mornings where excellent. If we go to this area again will definitely try to stay here.

The location was good and the room was clean. I have no issue with it. The only thing is the lady, I think she runs this place with the husband, is so not friendly. She seems so uptight and did not even have a bit of hospitality when I stayed there. She was probably busy serving breakfast, but it was only 3 people having breakfast. If she is juggling to run the place, maybe get an extra person to support the operation. The guests are not staying for free at this place, so please show some hospitality.

Stayed here as a group whilst on a stay in Donegal. We had two rooms and were pleasantly surprised at how lovely they were. Our room was modern with both a double bed, single bed, fridge and a dining table. Facilities to make hot drinks were also available. Bathrooms are lovely with a powerful shower and soft towels. The room itself is a great size with plenty of space to walk around. Radiators in the rooms were also easy for us to use ourselves which was great for the cold nights. Staff were friendly and on hand if we needed anything. The lodgings are the perfect location in Donegal town, located right next to all the bars/restaurants/shops. The rooms themselves are located above the reveller bar however we did not hear any noise at all. All in all a great stay and we would definitely return when back in Donegal!

Harvey's Lodge has been created for group holidays, breaks and activities. It offers quality at an affordable price and the opportunity to share private communal space while enjoying all the amenities of nearby Harvey’s Point Hotel. Accommodation features thirteen compact ‘cruise ship cabin style’ rooms with two single beds, meticulously designed to provide comfort and relaxation.
The Lodge is in lovely location and a short walk to the main hotel. The Lodge is a more affordable option when staying at the hotel but the rooms are small with a maximum capacity for two but if you don’t mind the room size you’ll be happy with everything else about the room, there clean and serviced everyday and have a nice bathroom with fresh towels and toiletries provided daily. Staying at the Lodge gives you access to the main hotel for breakfast and dining and all other facilities, the main hotel is a beautiful hotel with friendly staff and great service, the breakfast is fantastic and the Lakeside restaurant is the perfect place to start you’re day. I would recommend staying at the Lodge just to experience the Harvey’s Point treatment.

Booked this B&B via Booking.com. We arrived at 1530 and couldn't get a response from the front door (the time window for check in 1300-2000) . We came back at 1730 and the door was answered but apparently the room wasn't ready. We were offered Tea (self services but it was hunt the tea bags/sugar). The host plonked the key on the table about 15 minutes later and advised the room was up the stairs, first on the left. We went to the room to find the blandest room with the poorest facilities including a PLASTIC GARDEN CHAIR. The bed linen smelt like someone had previously had slept in the bed and the it had been sprayed with the cheapest air freshener. The linen wasn't hotel standard, more like the cheapest in Dunn's store clearance and the towles looked like they had come from a charity shop. Not accustomed to these poor facilities, we took are bags down stairs to our car. Contact was made with the host who gloated that we wouldn't received a refund from booking.com, before he SLAMMED THE FRONT DOOR IN MY FACE. What a Vile Man. Several calls to booking.com and we are still out of pocket to the tune of over £100. Some of the 5 star reviews I believe are fake. The place is not fit for animals. I was too in shock to take any further photos which is rare.
