Reviewed By peterjohnb2016From the outside , I thought, no way , a lilac small hotel with a small fountain in the front ! You think something from Disney ! But , it’s one of the best we have seen ! Great rooms 8 of them , large and clean ! Breakfast is wonderful, parking is in their garage , only three spaces and you have to book ! We have come here a few times and love it ! Not very expensive and a short walk into town ! This place is perfect !

A CASA DI MANU B&B is set in a private villa with garden. It is a 5-minute walk from Desenzano Train Station one mile from motorway exit and one mile from the shores of Lake Garda. Perfect stay in lake Garda
Reviewed By gina681I would definitely recommend a stay here. Emanuela was an amazing host and made us feel very welcome. She was there if we needed any advice and gave us maps, tourist information etc. The location is good too.Nothing was too much trouble. The room was big and had everything you needed. Breakfast was fab, the best cappuccino I've had. Would definitely revisit if we return to the lakes.

Reviewed By NataliaD DWhat an amazing place so close to the town centre and the lake! One of the most unusual cute hotels (or bed and breakfasts) we have ever stayed. The decoration is something from the fairy tales – pink, gold, glitter, flowers, bird cages, hats, beautiful little details… Even if its not your cup of tea, you must of course appreciate the place as its so different. Room and bathroom/toilet are very good size, lovely little balcony outside - all very nice and clean. Cheap and very useful mini-bar. Hope to be back there one day. Thank you very much for the lovely stay and all our kisses to your cat Jaclyn :):):)

Bed and breakfast with an akward feeling
Reviewed By madmaxQcFirst, the good stuff. Very clean bedroom and clean place overall. Good air conditioning. Walkable to the train station (25 minutes) and around 20 minutes to the city centre. Nice pool too. You will need a cap, but they can be provided free of charge. Breakfast is good with enough food to start your day. Served at a table in common area between 8:30 and 9:00 only. A little limiting as of schedule, but what can you do. You cannot touch anything because of COVID-19. The feeling as a guest was a bit awkward. We felt as if we were at the house of a friend's relative and that we weren't very welcomed. It's like we were at someone else's place uninvited and any little request or question was inconvenient. There are a couple of dogs and a cat on the premise.

Villa Giulia is a welcoming Villa with pool, located between Sirmione and Desenzano. A few steps from Garda lake. Near beautiful and important attractions and locations like: Terme di Sirmione, il Vittoriale, Villa di Catullo, Thematic Parks, zoo, Verona city and the mall Villa Franca, etc... The near motorway and the bus stop makes the Villa Giulia very easy to find for the guests. Ideal for business travels and for a pleasure quiet and relaxing holidays.

Not fit for our purposes - misleading website
Reviewed By David WFirst impressions were good, a nice size room, very clean, in an interesting building about 10 minutes walk from Desenzano town centre - so far so good. My wife and I had booked for a five night stay and sadly things were not perfect. Firstly the wifi which is stated clearly on the South Garda Suites website was non existent, the reply being that the booking.com website says different. How many websites do you need to look at to get the truth, one would hope the hotels own site would have the correct information but no. The website also says there is bar service available but no such thing existed, the excellent small cafe below the rooms closed at 8pm. Secondly in the (fairly cheap Ikea) wardrobe there were only 4 mismatched clothes hangers nowhere enough for two of us and despite a request no more were forthcoming. Had there been adequate other storage maybe this would have been ok but there were no drawers on the room either so we spent the week with our clothes in our suitcases, NOT ideal Equally with the key only one was given and no more were available despite a request meaning it was difficult if we wanted to do separate activities. We were in Lily room which unfortunately had windows facing the busy main road so the room was quite noisy from early morning until late at night, other rooms faced the quieter slip road and it looked like one room had a balcony with a nice view. On the positives the room was very clean and spacious but that is really about it, I cant say it was good value for money and sadly wouldn't recommend it to anyone wishing to stay more then one or two nights.

The apartment is comfortable, but the real plus is the lovely balcony and patio/garden. Very relaxing. The host is very friendly and helpful, though his English is limited. Breakfasts are generous with a great selection of the usual continental items, Italian sweets, and eggs. Bicycles are available to borrow, otherwise you will need a car to get around town. Free public parking is available at the location with plenty of spaces. An excellent value, highly recommended!

Mixed feelings
Reviewed By MoramareOur stay on this working wine estate was a stay that left us with some mixed feelings. Yes, it was a nice and tranquil stay, close enough to the hustle and bustle of Lake Garda and far enough to not be bothered by it on a 24/7 basis. Yes, the setting is gorgeous, the house well kept. But it's also more a b&b where they have some apartments too, apartments with only a kitchenette and not a true stove of which you can use more than one plate at the same time. A place that is not fully equipped towards guests staying longer than just a few days. I guess that a sum up of all the pro's and cons will be best; On the upside - beautifully surroundings - roomy apartments - away from the crowds - great pool to swim your laps - nice size of double bed (Northern European / American standard) - pets welcome - Filo, who takes care of all your needs - air con in all rooms/apartments - arrival possible on all days of the weeks, thus not limited to Saturdays - cable internet in all rooms / apartments On the downside - cooling the apartment took us 24 hours - only 8 sun beds for all guests, thus on some days leaving us no other option than to lay down on the grass - aquarobic classes for locals in the pool - just 2 hotplates and 3 pots/pans to prepare a home cooked meal. - fridge didn't close 100% leading to only chilled (and not properly cooled) inventory. - washing machine for use of guests promised but nowhere to be found. Laundry service is in place. - wifi only available in front of the office - weak mobile signal - leaking air conditioning To be fairly honest; to our opinion this accommodation is slightly overpriced for what they offer. And yes, I have taken into account that this is Lake Garda and that we were guests in the middle of a heatwave.
