Horrible and unprofessional owner/manager (Mario)
Reviewed By greenzieThe owner or manager (Mario) is very unprofessional! We are a group of 3 adults and 1 child (11 years old). When booking on their website, we could only number of adults and number of kids below 2 years old. There is no option to add kids above 2 years old. I checked the price of a Quadruple room for 3 adults and 4 adults are the same price. But since I already filled in 3 adults, I just went on since I think it is not a big deal after all. I sent an email 3 weeks before my arrival to say there is actually one child extra in the booking and we would pay extra tourist tax if needed. He replied that there is an extra charge of 12 EUR for the child. I argued in the website it was the same price for 3 and even 4 adults so it doesn’t make sense to charge extra for 3 adults and 1 child. He could not explain it why and after several emails, he just canceled my booking without my approval! This is very unprofessional! I am attaching the emails between us so you can see how unprofessional Mario is.

Le Stanze del Lago Suite&Pool is our brand new structure, situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Como, just ten minutes walking from the historic centre of the city, and our wonderful lake. The guesthouse has a swimming pool with a view of the Cathedral of Como and a garden where our home made breakfast is served.

Reviewed By LukyjanWe stayed in this lovely place for 2 nights. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. We both loved the style of the furniture, it almost had a boutique look to it,but that's a personal preference. Parking your car is also possible at the property, but it's not free of charge. Breakfast was due to the COVID restrictions servered to your order and it was very good. The location of this place is very good, close to the city centre (5-10 min walk). The staff were very nice and the owner of the place is also a very nice guy. We enjoyed our stay in here!

Also they have their own parking which is great when travelling on business. Even more enjoyable was the great food in the restaurant, absolutely delicious!

Ours is a family-run B&B located in a quiet area only 3kms from Como city centre. We offer 2 independent rooms on the ground floor, both surrounded by garden, and a large communal living room for a good Italian-style breakfast. The location of the B&B is ideal for those who wish to discover the beautiful area of Lake Como and the villas along its shores, spend a pleasant holiday in the fresh mountain air at the many tourist resorts of the area or visit the numerous tourist and cultural events that the city has to offer each season. We are within easy reach of the most important cities of art in Northern Italy, very close to Switzerland, and it is a good base for those who need to travel in the area for work. Small dogs are allowed with prior agreement.

Reviewed By Jeff IWe spent only one night, but we were warmly welcomed by our hostess. The room was well appointed, the bed comfortable, the bathroom was clean and came with a few extras. The breakfast was delicious and after some conversation with Rita, our hostess, we practically felt like family. Rita recommended a delicious Italian restaurant not far from the apartment and we had the best pizza we've ever eaten there! (Ask her about Francesco)

Reviewed By OzGreyNomadsWe spent 3 nights at this B&B (Hotel/Pension) in Sept. and couldn't have asked for a better location. Free parking was only about 100 meters from the hotel and was off street and under cover. Even though the room was quite small, we had a view of the lake which was just across the road. We were a stones throw away from the ferry terminal that went to Bellagio and a very short walk to the Funicular to Brunate. The breakfast buffet was superb. We highly recommend this Accommodation for your stay at Como.

I booked this as a birthday present 2 years ago for my husband and had to move the date due to Covid. Alberto sent a confirmation email confirming the new date. We arrive it is 29 degrees , I’ve unpacked my case, my husband has a shower, I am about to jump in and the young girl on reception knocks on the door and says “we have given you the wrong room” Being understanding that mistakes can be made we pack up and go back into the hallway reception to see a couple who were supposed to have our room. After a while it becomes apparent that they’ve double booked, which again does happen. The American couple come back about an hour later to ask about their room and if it had been cleaned, she said yes (IT HADN’T, WE WERE OUTSIDE IT) How this was handled was the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed. All we wanted was somewhere to enjoy our holiday and beautiful lake como. Our trip was during a Swiss national holiday, so all the neighbouring hotels were booked for the 4 days we were there. Alberto was on his boat and was “too busy” to talk to us and left it to the young school girl to fix, even though he was calling / voice noting her. (Very poor) He said our room was a NON REFUNDABLE room so they couldn’t do any more than give us a voucher for another stay…. AS IF! We had arrived to fulfil our booking, so this is unacceptable. When Alberto arrives at 8.15pm (we got there at 3pm) he doesn’t arrive alone, he brings FIVE policemen with guns, who spoke little English. He made out like we were troublemakers. Never did we raise our voice we just wanted fairness like you’d expect in the UK. HE IS A BULLY, THUG AND UNTRUSTWORTHY. He got our money, and dropped us!!!!! After being moved around available hotels in como, I can honestly say there are MUCH NICER places anyway. It’s dirty and they are LIARS! I TRULY BELIEVE THIS PLACE SHOULD AND WILL BE SHUT DOWN…

Reviewed By johannam330This is a small place. Only few rooms. Everything is kept well. Staff is very friendly. Small garden with small pool. Views are amazing. Breakfast is good. Not far from Como village but car is recommended.

Reviewed By 646pavelkWe stayed here for one night. The hotel is pretty close to train station, close to everything, lake maybe ten minutes walk. The hotel itself is an average 3*, clean, breakfast choice not really wide but fine.
