We stayed in this magnificently restored grand house on our journey down to Mallorca. We initially chose the hotel as they were willing to accommodate our two small dogs in the self catering accommodation off the courtyard. We were not disappointed. It was like going back in time. Our apartment was huge with a well equipped sitting room/small kitchen . The rooms had massive wooden beams throughout, also on the floor so be careful. All toasty warm in freezing December. We were late to arrive but staff waited up for us and were delightful and welcoming. We were also given some locally made chocolate which I have to say is about the most delicious chocolate I’ve ever tasted. Although we were just passing through, it was a wonderful stay made incredible by our cathedral visit and the wonderful magical (non-commercial) Christmas market. Do visit this charming historical accommodation and it’s charming staff. We will be back.

Quirky doesn’t begin to describe staying here: it is a truly unusual experience. And we loved it. This is not a hotel but a bed & breakfast with an amazing swimming pool, its own private theatre (we had a guided tour and a short concert by Franck the proprietor and pianist) and astonishing furnishing and chandeliers. But the WiFi and showers are 21st century and brilliant. And then the breakfast: the platonic ideal of a French continental breakfast with fresh kiwi, juice, croissants, very fresh baguette, brioche, comte cheese, good coffee and three sorts of confiture made by Madame. Plus a good location and a little garden. An extraordinary experience

Very pleasant and accommodating hosts. All the rooms were full for our requested dates so a small house nearby was offered. Unfortunately no WiFi. Upon paying the bill we were told that credit cards for foreign currencies ($) were not accepted. A very unpleasant surprise. Would have liked to know that in advance.

Sophie and Gilles OUSTALET are delighted to welcome you to their 19th century guest-house and to share with you moments of enjoyment with a historical flavour. The four spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated bedrooms, named after Camille Claudel, Coco Chanel, Liane de Pougy and Colette, will set you dreaming and let you share for a while the life of these famous women. You will be George Sand, Charles VII or Jacques Coeur in turn as you wander through the little cobbled streets around the rue Bourbonnoux.
Had an amazing stay, the hosts are really nice and thoughtful, the place is clean and tidy, really feels like a jump in the past. The breakfast is amazing as well, feels like a breakfast you'd share with your family.

This is an interesting B&B in an 18th century(?) building with amazing decor. It's like being in a museum. The owners are friendly, but had very little English. The swimming pool was good. The B&B is located very close to the town and there is parking outside. The owners collected breakfast straight from the bakery (almost next door) so the bread and croissants were really fresh. Higly recommended.

Our small party stayed at Domaine Benveau (also known as Halte du Chemin de Vezelay) on our walk on the Vezelay Way. The family made us feel incredibly welcome and we were provided with beautifully prepared and presented meals. Our rooms in the old farm house were comfortable furnished with lots of probincial character. We learned about the operation of the farm, the fascinating family history and that of the nearby church in Ste Solange.

Located at 200km south of Paris, our bed & breakfast is installed in a typical old farmhouse. You will find 5 charming wide, of high comfort bedrooms decorated with lime, natural pigments and old furniture. The park with benches and a heated swimming pool invite you to get rest after visiting the area and before the dinner which is served only on reservation.
We stayed here en route North and needed a shelter of calm from the French holiday roads. The room was beautiful, tastefully furnished, with every little extra you could possibly wish for and all spotlessly clean. The swimming pool was very welcoming after a long dusty drive. Breakfast was simply amazing with a full selection of local and delicious home made produce. Our host was extremely friendly and welcoming and couldn’t have made us more at home. All in all a very enjoyable experience which I would thoroughly recommend.

We used this as a stopover on our way to the South of France. It was a very calm and peaceful stopover. It was quite difficult to find, but we got there eventually. The room we stayed in had a mezzanine with 2 single beds - the stairs to this are extremely steep, especially on the way down, and wouldn't be suitable for young children - ours are 7 and 9 and were fine, but needed supervision to descend. It is a small room and bathroom, but fine for a stopover. The pool was enjoyed by the children, and we were offered cold drinks ( beer/squash) on arrival which was a nice touch after a long day in the car. The owner helped us to order a pizza which I popped out to collect. The kids enjoyed to grounds - there are lots of animals around. Breakfast was served in the kitchen. If you are really fastidious, this probably isn't the place for you - there was a cat on the worksurface in the kitchen at one point, but the bedroom was very clean, and didn't appear to have had animals in it (both of us are fairly allergic and neither woke up wheezing) It's certainly an interesting place, and very quiet. We chose this place as we had bikes on the car and wanted somewhere where we didn't have to worry about their safety ( wouldn't have wanted on street parking), and this was perfect in that respect.

Great breakfast - with big pots of jams and egg options and woke to smell of croissants. Lovely host and wonderful to have option of his restaurant across road for dinner which was great value with a chariot of cheese which we have missed on France. Parking on site. Spacious room with very clean bathroom.
