I just want to start by saying, I've never left a bad review on tripadvisor before. However I really feel if I had known the below before I booked I would not have stayed here. We stayed here for 3 nights in the summer during a family wedding, it is a lovely bar, very pretty and nice design. However when shown to our room we were really disappointed, it was very small, barely any natural light and unbearably hot. The rooms are in the eaves so have very low ceilings and beams throughout. We asked if there was another room of the same rate available and they moved us down the hall, the new room had the same issues but 1 more window at least. We did have a large fan in our room which was a bit of a help, however this got taken out and replaced with a very small fan after a day, with no explanation from the hotel. The wedding party had drinks in the bar on the friday night, the organisation of the bar was terrible, the staff couldn't cope with the large number of customers and kept insisting on table service even though most people weren't sitting at a table and were ordering drinks. It was chaos-so in the end they let us buy drinks at the bar. The breakfast on the Saturday and Monday morning was good, very tasty cooked breakfast we chose from a nice menu. However on the Sunday we came down and there was no staff around- at all. It says on the website the breakfast is 'a la carte' however on this occasion there were just some bits of bread and fruit left for us. When we mentioned this at check out the owner said it states this on the website, however I had a look since and I couldn't see this anywhere. The lack of staff on the sunday also meant there was no where for us to go downstairs to relax or have a drink, the whole place was shut up. It also meant my friend couldn't even find anyone to check out with. When we were checking out we mentioned a few issues to the owner and she was not very forthcoming, she told my pregnant friend and I that there was 170euros in unpaid drinks from the friday night, and seemed to be insinuating it was to do with us when it was clearly their poor organisation. One of our family members complained about her room on check out (she had tried to move to other hotels but there was nothing available) and the owner said she was in a smaller room because we had taken her room earlier when we checked in. I found it completely unprofessional that she would blame a customer for this situation when it was her staff member that moved us. To be clear neither of these rooms were fit for purpose, the heat really was unbearable. All in all, I felt like we were paying hotel prices for what is essentially a hostel standard. The idea was good but the execution is terrible and the service not good. I would highly not recommend.

We really enjoyed having the nature around us, with the best view, possibility to order the bread, or even go to the breakfast buffet. Everything is nice and made with lots of love. there are many interesting things to do, either sportiv or culture. We recommand the "Hofschenke" to go out for lunch or dinner.

Looking for some sun I found this gem in Brixen. The hotel is great with spacy suites furnished with taste. We stayed in a balcony suite with view on the city of Brixen below. The view from the roof terrace is even greater. In HB a 4 course diner is served in the AO restaurant which is delicious. Lots of possibilities for walking or biking in the surrounding vineyards. A place to come back to!

We stayed at plonerhof along the German Austrian border 2 years ago. Sorry about the very late review. I just couldn't get down to doing it. But always felt that it was something I have to do. The host who is also a Chef was fabulous. We chose the hotel for it's wonderful view of the Dolomites and breathtaking location. The rooms we're very spacious and comfortable. But what was outstanding was the hospitality of the Chef cum owner of Plonerhof. First of all he is an amazing chef. Secondly he went out of his way to create innovative vegetarian options for us, since my husband & I along with our daughter are vegetarians. The creativity in serving us various courses to ensure we love the food & are satisfied, was truly heart warming. All of us were in love with the food. We met many interesting people there. Evenings were great at the cosy bar. They also prepared a birthday cake for my daughter on July 4. A truly memorable experience, one that will make us remember them fondly.

At the foot of Mount Plose and yet in a wonderful location high above the Isarco Valley, the Psaier family welcomes you in their cosy guesthouse Pension Summererhof. Since ages, the citizens of Bressanone love to spend their summer holidays here and thus laid the groundwork for the development of the holiday farm into a comfortable alpine guesthouse by Mount Plose. Today the guesthouse Meluno offers you not only modern accommodations but also supreme South Tyrolean cuisine. Off the main roads, here you can enjoy a relaxing summer or winter holiday in Bressanone / Plose. Take a deep breath and enjoy the fresh mountain air, while leaving the troubles of everyday life far behind.
Situated in the village of Meluno above Bressanone, Pension Summererhof is an excellent base for exploring the Süd Tirol/ Alto Adige. We were two couples travelling by train and found the pension a restful retreat after the crowds of Venice. The Familie Psaier are very thoughtful hosts and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The pension is well-placed to walk to nearby Plose and it's hiking trails. It is a €25 cab ride from Bressanone/Brixen and a 20 minute walk from the bus stop. The Brixen Karte, given upon arrival at the Pension, provided free bus travel, museum entry and access to the Plose. It was great value! The family suite had a well provisioned kitchen and comfortable lounge/dining, so that we could bring back groceries and cook for ourselves if we wanted. There were also ample restaurants in the region should we desire. Waking to that beautiful view every morning was worth the journey. Sehr gemütlich!

Should time allow, Duomo di Bressanone, Palazzo Vescovile, and Chiostro della Cattedrale are some popular attractions that are within walking distance. Enjoy your stay in Bressanone!
We stayed for five days. The room was large and cosy at the same time. The staff we met at the font desk, in the breakfast room and cleaning the room were all welcoming, cheerful and very good at their jobs. The only drawback was that was very hard to leave. Highly recommend
