Pool small; on the one hand good (bathrooms with showers) on the other hand restrictive (weird rule about not being allowed to use 'solo if unattended', and no pool towels. It's worth coming just to take in the history of the building with it's array of Dutch colonial furniture. We are always well looked after by Mallar and Ranjan and the food is just out of this world.

Reviewed By Patrick BThe Resort is well located: close to the beach and only a 5 min. tuk tuk ride from the center. The owner gave us a warm welcome and provided us with a refreshing coconut right upon our arrival. The resort itself has not very much to offer, which is perfectly fine. Because all you need is a comfortable bed and cleanliness, of which both were to find there. I rented their Motorbike for a whole day and it only costed me about 5 dollars.

Reviewed By Vanessa FNous avions réservé pour deux nuits en août. La GH est très très éloignée de Batticaloa, y aller à pied est impossible, ce qui complique les déplacements. Pas de restos ouverts à proximité et personne sur place le soir pour appeler des tuk tuk pour nous; nous avons dû nous contenter d'une viennoiserie en guise de repas du soir faute de pouvoir nous déplacer. Nous avions demandé au proprio s'il pouvait nous trouver des scooters à louer, fin de non recevoir, ce n'était soi disant pas possible. Nous avons dit au logeur que nous envisagions de ne pas rester la seconde nuit , il a pris la liberté d'annuler notre chambre sans nous en informer et de nous réclamer le coût total des deux nuits + des commissions qu'il devrait payer au site par lequel nous étions passé pour réserver ( commission déjà réglée dans le prix de la chambre. Bref une vraie galère qui nous a fait oublier que les chambres étaient grandes et plutôt sympas. Je déconseille vivement

Reviewed By bgrant722Navaal is on the forgotten Peninsula of Batticaloa which was ravaged by the Tsunami in 2009. this charming 10 room hotel has large clean rooms with Ac and the chef cooks well. value for money their is no better place in Batticaloa. you near upscale option is Pasakuda bay but you will pay three times the price.

ONE OF THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN
Reviewed By Nivethihan PGreat Location. Accessibility wise it’s a convenient place that’s all. Bar is open till 12 midnight. When its come to cleanliness it’s really really poor in maintenance. Trashes all over the places, room was full of cobweb and dust. Poor coordination within the management itself. I have booked for double room, but I have got two separate beds. 80% of the items weren’t there from whatever they have mentioned in the booking engines. There were no free toiletries, slippers, tea/coffee maker, wake-up service, ironing facility, safe, Balcony and so on. Especially there was not any intercom phone connection between the rooms and the front desk. They have mentioned 24 hrs service, but half of the time was struggling to find an employee at front desk. Few rooms have the Cable TV connections and others just has a TV. The room which I have stayed (106) does not has a proper water drainage way. If you take a bath water stays in the bathroom. Service was very poor and slow. I have ordered a coffee and received after 45 minutes and had to remind them thrice to get my coffee. Mentioned free breakfast but I would suggest to go out and have a proper meals. Swimming Pool was greenish color and not maintained regularly. During the check out since they don’t have a proper system, we have struggled more to get the process done. Even though I was entitled for a breakfast I was asked to pay for the morning coffee such a greedy for money. I was suggesting to remove false informations from the online and was trying to point out the things I went through during my stay to the so called Manager, I have received the replay saying not to expect the same as 5-star standards here where I was expecting just an ordinary service from a hotel. Incase if you ever had to visit this place and if any above incident happens to you, there is nothing to be surprised at. I would not recommend it to anyone.
