Children playground and bbq / open-air fire place right in the garden behind the building. Meals served in restaurant were okay and breakfast being included in the price was better than expected. Wooden floor, keep in mind if travelling with a little baby as during the night it becomes super loud (altough it did not wake-up our little one).

Historical vibes but not worth of what you pay

Room was spacious, however bad odor from the bathroom hit you right as you enter the room. i found really annoying that staff did load the dishwasher on 1st floor at 6.15 AM in the morning, making themselves coffee or whatever at the same time too. Honestly, can't that wait till like 9 AM particularly in the weekend????

Perfectly folksy and a great base for exploring the area

It had just the folksy atmosphere and decor we were looking for! We're on a driving holiday, and this made a great base for visiting Banská Štiavnica, the Calvary, and the Svaty Anton manor house. We stayed two nights. The second night there was someone in the room next door, and we could hear his coughing very clearly, so its not very soundproof. We wear earplugs, so no big problem. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower had doors!! No water all over the bathroom floor. The restaurant was very nice for relaxing in at the end of the day, with a couple of drinks and a good meal.

Reviewed By OidipusPierced furniture, outside walls falling apart, guest garage with half empty bottles of wine on the floor, but my favorite attraction of this hotel is incredibly smelly bathroom. You can save money on the evening drink, all you need to do is enjoy the gases coming from the sink. Ah,and I forgot to mention, they don't do breakfast. Of course ?♂️

The pension is situated on the very centre hill of Banska Stiavnica, from where there is the most beautiful view of historical and a new part of the town. It is not very far away from the town centre, approximately 15 minutes by walk. As for its location, it's peaceful place near the sports stadium.

Reviewed By tuturiwhataThis is a small family-run (husband-and-wife) Penzion located just a few minutes away from the Banská Štiavnica train station in a quiet residential area. And that's its real benefit, to get to most of the other Banská Štiavnica hotels you'd need to haul your luggage 2-3km over streets that, in the last section, are steep and cobbled, while this is an easy walk from the station. It's also located in a quiet residential area rather than being on the somewhat busy main street, where most of the accommodation in Banská Štiavnica proper is. Finally, the owners are really nice, they let me have the room for an extra half day to store my luggage until the train left.

You can find behind the building a trail leading to the Kalvaria on the hill. Be ready to walk a lot of uphills or downhills through the downtown and especially back to this stay.

Bathroom was nice with a tub/shower, small fridge and TV. Cool comfy style with quaint wooden staircase and nice art on the walls... great atmosphere and kind host.
