Warm and lovely place to stay in a great location. Met the owner and his wife who have some interesting stories to tell. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Rooftop garden is beautiful! Breakfast was great!

Such an incredible hotel attached with great-deal price. The lobby is a little small, but that's okay because I didn't really need or had interest to stay in the lobby for any reason. The hotel seems quite new so the design is modern, simple and in the minimalist style. I stayed in the Deluxe Queen Room, which is surprisingly much bigger than expected. The hotel looks very clean and tidy. There's no dining areas in the hotel but it takes only some minutes away at 1,5-2$/way by taxi to the city center of Chau Doc for more choices of everything. It might be hard to ask local people with the name The Luxe Hotel in case you wanna search the way, but the hotel is located on top of an electrical supermarket called Cho Lon which is kinda a roadmark for guide. Some recommendations to complete the services set-up is to have take-away light food for breakfast such as banh mi with butter / cheese and pastries as well as a key cover with basic information of the hotel instead of sticking it directly onto the room key. Everything's worth it. I'm significantly pleased with the room provided.

Finding an ideal family-friendly small hotel in Long Xuyen does not have to be difficult. Welcome to Dong Xuyen Hotel, a nice option for travelers like you. Guest rooms offer amenities such as air conditioning, and guests can go online with free wifi offered by the small hotel. The property also boasts an on-site restaurant, to help make your stay more enjoyable. When you’re feeling hungry, be sure to check out Fanny Ice cream - Vincom Long Xuyen, which is a French restaurant that is popular with locals and out-of-towners alike. Should time allow, Quang Te Pagoda, Ton Duc Thang Statue, and An Giang Museum are some popular attractions that are within walking distance. Dong Xuyen Hotel puts the best of Long Xuyen at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
Allocated a room (317) which, as soon as the door was opened stank of damp. This was because it was, damp peeling paintwork and plaster. Having been moved to the 5th floor things were marginally better. No smell of damp, but still some damp stains on the walls... and then we found the bath isn't sealed so the water floods the floor under the bath..! Cleanliness not great either. Glitzy on the outside, poor delivery. Not recommended, avoid!

Agreed with all other reviews that the homestay itself is very nice -- you are a part of their home with a nice family (three generations -- parents, two kids, daughter-in-law, baby grandson), good room/bathroom for being in the country (AC/fan, clean, no hot water but to be expected), lovely fields nearby, and breakfast (down the street at a little local pho stand) and dinner included. I want to give a bit more detail on how to actually get here because I was deeply confused from looking online prior to arrival. No matter how you arrive in Chau Doc (I came by Hang Chau boat from Phnom Penh -- very nice), you should get in touch with the Thanh Nham 2 hotel in advance to tell them of your arrival time and they can arrange transport to the homestay. It would be virtually impossible to get there yourself. In some guidebooks/online they are called Mekong Tours, but from my understanding this is an older company that no longer exists and has been subsumed by the Thanh Nham 2 hotel that doubles as a tour agency and knows the homestay. (I ended up finding my way to Thanh Nham once I arrived and they were nice enough to take me to the homestay but better to contact them in advance). The family doesn't speak English but there is a lady who works at Thanh Nham and lives down the street from the homestay who acts as your local "tour guide" and will introduce you to the family on arrival, take you around the local fields on the first day, and then arrange other excursions via motorbike taxi if you would like. I did my tours through Ms. San Tours, however, and would highly recommend that for a more personal experience. I also wasn't able to find exactly where it was online anywhere so I took a few screenshots of the location and am including the photos here. Hope you decide to stay here!

I arrived late afternoon after a long day of traveling. I had to check in, but soon I found out nobody speaks English.. It is also far away from Chau Doc, I should have checked better when i booked through Agoda... The room is super small and not clean. When I checked the bathroom the floor was wet and the toilet seat up.. The pillow smelt like someone just slept there and there where hairs on the floar. The window did not close properly and it is a very noisy area with lots of buses and cars.. so I couldn't really sleep.. Also the air conditioning made a strange sound.. When I wanted to order some dinner, it was just impossible, I am vegetarian and tried my best with google translate when they send a guy to my room to ask what I wanted.. first there was food then there was only breakfast... later a woman comes with a phone so I could talk to someone who speaks English, suddenly I could order food, but it was after nine, and I already ate some fruit and chips I had left.. This hotel is just not made for foreigners in my opinion.. I paid $23 for this... NO GOOD!!! Ow and the wifi is also very poor...

A éviter !
