Reviewed By manuknotAmazing and enjoyable stay. The basic room was big, clean with all the facilities needed. The Spa was private and the breakfast was incredible: fresh fruit, products and beverages. The receptionist staff was very kind and friendly. The light of the bathroom a little bit dark.

Reviewed By SudfassOaseThis hotel is 2 star, at best. The heating system did not work. The room was small and in bad condition. It also had a very noisy location. So bad in fact that we got up in the middle of the night and left. We found a much better 3 star in Cladas.

Reviewed By MargaridatpFicámos alojados na cabano do pescador. No geral gostámos de tudo, mas houveram pequenos promenores menos positivos. O colchão não era muito confortável, quando estávamos deitados parecia que caímos para o meio, devido ao uso já está a ficar com deformações. Relativamente à limpeza, quando chegámos a senhora estava a acabar de limpar o quarto, mas quando entrámos reparámos que havia alguns cabelos no chão do chuveiro e no suporte das mesas de cabeceira havia sujidade. Notámos que quando usavamos o lavatório cheirava a esgoto... No entanto o chuveiro tinha muito boa pressão. No que toca à privacidade, uma vez que os estores são canas, há algum espaçamento entre as mesmas, sendo que quando as pessoas passam junto à cabana conseguem ver o quarto por dentro, a solução que encontrámos foi colocar toalhas por cima das canas. O ideal era colocarem blackouts como alternativa para quem quer mais privacidade... Em relação ao parque, adorámos o facto de termos contacto direto com os animais e de parecer tudo muito rural. O sossego também é ótimo. No entanto, nota-se algum desprezo em certas áreas, muitas ervas por cortar e locais que parecem abandonados, mesmo não sendo zonas utilizadas atualmente dava melhor aspeto manterem a manutenção das mesmas. O pequeno almoço era do género picnic, simples, mas muito bom. Os colaboradores foram todos muito simpáticos e prestáveis. Um dia mais tarde gostaríamos de voltar!

Reviewed By Jbirdy68Exquisite and unique property. The entry is hard to find (google maps had issues) and you must get out of car to press the gate button for entry. Once inside is a beautiful serene converted monastery hotel. Check in and service is 5 star! Extremely grand yet simple decor. Marble floors, like stepping back into a different era. Extremely clean and excellent bathrooms and shower. Just steps from the beautiful Alcobaca Monastery. A truly special experience.

Surrounded by lush gardens only 200 metres from the Alcobaça Monastery, this elegant boutique hotel is situated in a historic mansion. It features a Spa and Wellness Centre and free Wi-Fi in public areas. Rooms at the Challet Fonte Nova have parquet floors and elegant furnishings. They include floor-to-ceiling windows and come equipped with air conditioning, cable TV, and a private bathroom with hand painted tiles. No dark wood here,its light,airy and refreshingly different. Our room was spacious,and the shower divine. Breakfast was a real treat.The delights served such as their own freshly sqeezed juices and delicous jams added to the luxury experience . We would highly recommend Challet Fonte Nova,plus its only a few minutes walk into the centre of Alcobaca where you can find a great selection of restaurants.

We were there out of season so the room rate was fantastic for the quality. The hotel has its own restaurant which is open to none residents. There is a lift so no carrying your luggage up flights of stairs .
