The Ionian Islands are splendid, cinematic paradise. The waters are bluest blue, the sands are achingly silky and smooth. Everything looks heavily Photoshopped. But that's just Mother Nature, in all her unspoiled glory. Zakynthos is the largest of the Ionian Islands, and it's as fruitful as it is beautiful, boasting a bounty of crops like olives and grapes. Music is a huge part of the local culture—you can catch a concert or festival almost any night of the week, and you'll be captivated by the sights and sounds of Zakynthos performers.

This was our 1st holiday abroad with our one year old, and we couldn't have wished to stay at a nicer hotel. Everything was just perfect. We stayed half board, and that worked so well for us having a little one to get meals conveniently. The breakfast & evening buffets were fantastic quality & so much variety, with a different theme every night. Our little boy loved it too! Plenty of highchairs. The main pool & kids splash park were great! Was nice having the shallow kids pool too, for our son to explore. Everything was spotless, and the poolside service was a welcome touch. We loved the pool bar & Eden cocktail bar where we enjoyed some yummy cocktails from the lovely Nico. The cleaners worked so hard everyday, doing such a fab job. As did the maintenance guy, he seemed to work all hours of the day. His conifers are great! As many others have mentioned, the close proximity to the airport (short transfer with a toddler is ideal!), beach and strip was perfect. And last but not least, the staff are what make this hotel. Every single person we encountered was amazing. They always took time to say hello, and talk to our son, such friendly people. Special mention to the 3 waiters we had the pleasure of being served every meal, Kostas, Andreas & Alex. They were so lovely to us. And Sevi who made us feel so welcome, always chatting to us and checking we were okay. We would highly recommend this hotel, and really do hope to come back. Overall, one of our best holidays! Thank you

Lovely clean modern hotel. Stayed in room with twin beds and armchair / bed , which was comfortable for 7yr old . Staff friendly and very helpful . No issues at bar getting more than 1 drink at a time . Food good , would have liked more choice of plain veg at meal times . Snack bar offers good choices and often ate there at lunch time . A list of drinks available would be good as not sure what was in AI package. Branded drinks had to be paid for . Choice of 3 pools , staff always around taking empty glasses . Very quiet on a evening, no entertainment just music from bar . Most people sitting chatting or playing cards . This wasn't problem for us as grandson happy to play Uno or dobble. More of a couples hotel for those who want to chill or have base to explore . Around 10 to 15 minute walk to Laganas, which we did a few times to go to beach . Got taxi to Kalamaki a couple of times just for a change . Lovely hotel, quiet rooms , clean environment, decent food , pleasant staff. Would possibly return but not with children .

Sea views are easy to come by at TUI BLUE Caravel, because it perches right on the edge of a golden strip of sand. The resort is set right on a sand-and-shingle beach. A couple of steps link the pool terrace and the shore, so it’s really easy to flit between the two. Location-wise, you’ve got a handful of local bars and tavernas within 10 minutes’ stroll. Zakynthos Town is within easy reach, too – it’s just 15 minutes’ drive away.
Our first ever stay in Zante. Beautiful location on the beach, amazing food (especially for me as a gluten free diner) and wonderful staff who go above and beyond. The rooms are very modern and clean. A wonderful stay and would definitely return.

This hotel is in a beautiful position on the beach. The beach and sea is good. There was a lovely grassy sunbathing area overlooking the sea. The hotel room was nice ( we were in a new block so I don’t know about the main hotel ), everywhere was very clean and staff were friendly. The problem with this hotel was the food and drink. Salads were lovely but everything was quite repetitive and restaurant was very busy. We tried staggering our visits but it seemed always the same, some days it was pot luck if we found a table. The beer seemed watered down . The wine was sour too! Luckily we didn’t have any children with us as there wasn’t anything for children there, no proper playground or disco etc. We ended up eating out as there were lots of lovely beach restaurants and a lovely bar across the road - Toad in the Hole , where lots of our hotel seemed to visit, a good pint and wine!! The evening entertainment was non existent - karaoke, bingo, tv football, not what we were expecting. Would visit Laganas again in a self catering place.

The hotel has 48 spacious studios and apartments, offering functionality, comfort and splendid views. Awarded for its exceptional service quality, Plaza Pallas is an ideal family destination, which provides generously the reknowned Zakynthian hospitality to the visitor. The picturesque Olive Garden Restaurant offers selected dishes from the Greek cuisine and Sambuca Bar provides moments of leisure and entertainment.
Our gratitude goes to the proprietors of Plaza Pallas Hotel for making our entire stay most enjoyable and memorable. Our late arrival in the evening was met with a warm welcome from Lillian and the restaurant was kept open and fully staffed to provide us with freshly prepared meals of our choice. This alone demonstrates the kind and caring nature of this establishment and the whole team's hospitality towards their guests. Special thanks to the restaurant team including Angelos, Elpida and Ada; and of course Angelica for fostering a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant where the courtesy she afforded to her staff was reflected in their enthusiastic engagement with guests. We were particularly impressed with Michael and Panos's friendly nature, both of whom helped make the hotel feel like family. We shall certainly recommend this hotel and hope to come again. Many thanks and kind regards Arun and family

We stayed at the hotel from 30/5 - 6/6 in a suite grand with balcony. The rooms as well as the balcony were very spacious. Both the sleeping room and the extra room were equipped with aircon that offered a “quiet mode” for the night. Overall, the hotel was very clean - superclean may be more accurate - and as the hotel only allows quests 18+ it was very quiet. The staff was outstanding and the restaurant at the hotel was very good. The hotel accomodates rooms with their own swimmingpools in a seperate building next to the main building. Some of the rooms (109, 110 and 111) face East and have very little sun. Further, these rooms have very little privacy. Rooms 105, 106, 107 and 108 face South and have sun until around 2 pm. However, deping on the wind direction the pool area can be quite hot as the pools are surrounded by walls on all sides. Rooms 101, 102, 103 and 104 face West and adjoin a big lawn. In my view these rooms are the most well located, but the pool area will lack the sun until around 1 pm. That said, the pool area at the main building is quite fine and spacious. Also, the location of this pool allows a fresh breeze from almost all directions.

We stayed here in 2017 on our honeymoon & had an amazing time. I returned this time with my Mam after my father passed away. I was unaware we'd booked an Annexe apartment & after reading the reviews I contacted the hotel to upgrade/swap. In fairness the rooms were ok with a sea view but not a fan of the wet rooms, no privacy as glass saloon type doors. Discovered on the 4th day of our 7 day holiday that the fridge wasn't even plugged in.! Food was ok compared to ecxellent in 2017 which is because they're now catering for not just the British. In my opion that is why the rating have dropped. The melon bar, left at the roundabout and over the street on the right is as crazy n good as ever. We met some amazing friends on this holiday & everyone is still adjusting to the aftermath of covid. Given time this will become a 5 star hotel

Life at Altura is brimming with happiness, surprises and unforgettable moments with loved ones and new friends!
We are a family of five, two adults and three kids (inc 2 teenage boys). Just returned from a lovely week at the Altura. Check-In was smooth and despite our late flight, a meal has been saved for us. Both rooms were spacious and thoroughly cleaned every day, with plenty of fresh towels. Lots of sun-beds around the pools and inflatables for the kids to play with. The second (infinity) pool was lovely too, very relaxing and more of a grown-up vibe. The animation team were super-enthusiastic and a special mention for Nicole, with her boundless enthusiasm and endless energy! All the staff were great, Konstantinos at the bar was permanently smiling and made some fantastic cocktails. Food was varied and every meal had a nod to traditional Greek cuisine as well as salads, vegetables, fish and a couple of meat choices. There were 2 vegetarians in our group and there was plenty for them to choose from. Short walk into town and under 10 mins to a fab beach with plenty of beach bars and activities. All in all, our whole week was chilled and we returned home on Tuesday night feeling like we’d had a ‘proper’ break! If you’re looking for a friendly hotel with a laid-back vibe then the Altura is definitely the place for you!

Zante Plaza Apart Hotel, renovated during winter 2010, is located in the famous Laganas resort, just a couple of meters away from the beach, Greek tavernas, tourist bars and shops of the resort. This beautifully decorated hotel is ideal for families or couples, who want all the comforts of home whilst on holiday. The hotel offers standard, superior and deluxe rooms, all overlooking the pool or the sea.
We recently stayed at the Zante plaza after booking through love holidays we as a family group of 9 with children. we arrived after a Long day of travelling to check in assuming we was going to be staying in the hotel as we paid extra to upgrade to be taken by the receptionist to building apartments up the road. The rooms was lovely but when we walked out on to our balcony we was horrified that our view was over looking a derilcate building not a garden or pool like we paid for We went back over to the reception in the main hotel where we questioned why we wasn’t in a room that we had upgraded to and was confronted by a older lady who I assume was the manager to be told there is no upgrading and we had to stay where we was. As you can imagine we was very angry but had to get on with it. My mother in law who was in a anex room no bath it was shower only . The shower head didn’t have any attachment bit to hold the shower on the wall she had to hold the shower head whilst trying to wash when staff was made aware of this nothing was done. We raised the issues again with reception who agreed to move my mother in law to another room as she has ill health and can’t stand for long never mind hold the shower whilst trying to wash. Absolutely disgraceful.. Our 3rd room where my daughter and grandson had the toilet seat was broken for the 2 weeks we were there after many complaints they still didn’t fix this and the water comes up through the drains in the bathroom floors when the bath and showers are emptying so the water goes into the bedrooms. The hotel also advertises they have air conditioning which we was told is 9 euros per night . They also advertise a pool table and table tennis this is not the truth as the Zante plaza do not have these in this hotel these are only available in their sister hotel in kalamaki. The Wi-fi is 1 euro per day per device we paid this for our 3 children however the internet do not work properly. There is no pool side bar and the snack bar is in a different location to the hotel again you have to leave the building area to go and get snacks. The small pool baby pool was not filled up and was not filled until I asked for this to be opened for our grandson a week into our holiday. Only plus side of our holiday was the memories we made and the staff as the bar/waitress/waiters was lovely and the food was lovely also. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel if you have young children with you.

Families can't keep away from the TUI SUNEO Tsilivi Admiral, thanks to its handy setting and bright, comfy rooms. When it comes to location, this place has plenty to yell about. It's five minutes' walk to a sandy beach, and there's a flume-filled waterpark* even closer. The yellow, peach and blue-toned apartments are scattered through gardens filled with palm trees and flowers.
Stayed here with my family members in May 2022, there was 7 of us and this hotel suited all of us perfectly. We stayed for 7 nights all inclusive, which we are so glad we did. The food was amazing, different choices every night and we also got access to the themed dinner nights over at the water park, which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and definitely worth a visit! The breakfast had options of pastries, continental breakfast, English breakfast, fresh fruit and yoghurts, accommodating for everyone. I would say the hotel all inclusive food is better than the themed dinner nights in the water park but the themed dinner nights are definitely worth a try, as we only went there for one night. There are two pools which you can sunbathe round all day and the bar is constantly flowing with drinks for everyone. All of the non-alcoholic drinks are included in the all inclusive deal and most alcoholic drinks are too, except some branded alcoholic drinks such as Kopperberg which we payed for but also wasn’t expensive! The rooms are exactly like they are shown on the pictures they are basic but clean and the cleaners are very friendly too. All the staff at admiral are extremely friendly and helpful they give you a warm welcome every time you walk through the main entrance of the hotel. The staff are happy to help with any of your needs, for example, my grandma was struggling with her mobility in the heat so we asked the reception staff if there would be any chance of hiring a wheelchair. The staff were quick to help us with this and told us they would organise a wheelchair hire for us to be with us in the next couple of hours. By the afternoon the wheelchair was there in the reception for my grandma to use for the week. Can’t thank Admiral enough for an amazing stay.
